This game came out at the most perfect time, celebrating now 30 years of PlayStation since the first PlayStation back in 94'. I've been a PlayStation fan ever since.
It was my first console. Ridge Racer and Jumping Flash were the first games I ever played. As I’ve turned 30 myself this year, it’s been quite the journey!

Like call me jaded but after seeing the series be dormant for an ungodly amount of years after Defiance and knowing that the franchise has suffered through 10 cancelled projects in a row, it's a little hard to not be skeptical of the project's survival. Hopefully I'm dead wrong and Crystal Dynamics and (Presumably?) Aspyr manages to pull through and finally bring the series back to life. I do still have some shred of hope in my broken heart despite what I just said above.

I got the BIGGEST smile on my face seeing Kutaro and Pikarina in the game! I absolutely loved Puppeteer but I know it want super successful despite the wonder, humor and creativity that's so abundant in that game. Seeing them be remembered in this made me audibly gasp and cheer. Thanks, Astro Bot!
Definitely odd since Twisted Metal was only referenced in a trophy for Playroom, just like Wild ARMs, but Rudy got a bot this time around while Sweet Tooth is missing once again, also, Final Fantasy is completely absent despite the Buster Sword's cameo in Playroom!

I read that when Namco were developing Soul Calibur II, they wanted Cloud Strife to be the PlayStation 2 exclusive character, but they were rejected, and while Cloud managed to appear in Super Smash Bros. for WiiU and 3DS, he only came with two music tracks, and according to some rumors he was the most difficult character to bring back for Ultimate, all other companies had no problems, but it was rumored that Square didn't want Cloud to be on the initial roster and that they'd have prefer him to be DLC, perhaps that's a reason why Sephiroth was added later

It’s an alright game. But it would have been better if they weren’t trying to copy smash. They had an amazing idea with the background being a war between two worlds and it was amazing. Seeing an army of Patapons kill Hades always gets me excited. Would have loved if they just made it a beat em up platformer kinda game with an option for co-op play. You have to navigate the world and fight enemies while two or more worlds are fighting a d destroying each other.
This is definitely one of the most legend crossover ever made in gaming history, so cute and heartwarming, but it's so sad that most of these stories will never return or get remade, but at least they got a last appearance.

Once completed, you will unlock the ship. The ship comes with max stats across the board, with the main drawback being it comes with no weapons whatsoever.
I like how animal characters like Ammy and the Stray cat are BNL-ifications of their real selves. Then you have the in betweens, like Robbit and the Shiba still looking more like themselves. And then Spyro is just Spyro.
Now I REALLY want a sequel to PlayStation All-Stars! Seeing ALL OF these characters together, as costumes, makes me now think about the possibilities of it
So glad this game is obviously made with love for Playstation’s history. There’s only one that I’m sad that didn’t make the cut who is an absolute no-brainer: Cloud Strife
@@alejandromomota6934 that just makes the inclusion of Cloud and Sephiroth in Smash Bros. look even more impressive from a corporate standpoint, but I've heard Sakurai is so respected among Japanese game developers, that they can't say no to his proposals. Enix and Armor Project are similarly very protective of the Dragon Quest IP and there haven't been many crossovers, but the Heroes of DQ XI, III, IV and VIII were also added to Smash, even Sakurai thought Enix would only allow the Enemy Slime from DQ to be a playable character. Sora from Kingdom Hearts it's a different beast altogether, since the Kingdom Hearts' IP is owned by Disney

If you stand near Rudy in the Crash Site, whistling sounds start to play, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, the Crash Site music also has whistling in it making it tricky to separate at times, but it's definitely a different sound.

I read that when Namco were developing Soul Calibur II, they wanted Cloud Strife to be the PlayStation 2 exclusive character, but they were rejected, and while Cloud managed to appear in Super Smash Bros. for WiiU and 3DS, he only came with two music tracks, and according to some rumors he was the most difficult character to bring back for Ultimate, all other companies had no problems, but it was rumored that Square didn't want Cloud to be on the initial roster and that they'd have prefer him to be DLC, perhaps that's a reason why Sephiroth was added later

I'd KILL for a new Ape Escape
It’s an alright game. But it would have been better if they weren’t trying to copy smash. They had an amazing idea with the background being a war between two worlds and it was amazing. Seeing an army of Patapons kill Hades always gets me excited. Would have loved if they just made it a beat em up platformer kinda game with an option for co-op play. You have to navigate the world and fight enemies while two or more worlds are fighting a d destroying each other.

@@alejandromomota6934 that just makes the inclusion of Cloud and Sephiroth in Smash Bros. look even more impressive from a corporate standpoint, but I've heard Sakurai is so respected among Japanese game developers, that they can't say no to his proposals. Enix and Armor Project are similarly very protective of the Dragon Quest IP and there haven't been many crossovers, but the Heroes of DQ XI, III, IV and VIII were also added to Smash, even Sakurai thought Enix would only allow the Enemy Slime from DQ to be a playable character.
Sora from Kingdom Hearts it's a different beast altogether, since the Kingdom Hearts' IP is owned by Disney

However, I've heard that Disney needed the final word from Tetsuya Nomura to include him in Smash, since he's the series creator after all, but his reasoning was kind of weird, he mentioned that Sora in Smash could contradict the canon of the Kingdom Hearts series
