I just love the relationship between Link and Midna in this game. Very few games even pull off having a sidekick successfully, and even fewer manage to so effectively portray a relationship that goes from antagonistic to deep friendship in a way that draws the player along with them.

In the previous video, Wind Waker was mentioned. Let's hope that you cover that lore next. In all honesty, it's very tragic. Zelda sent Link back in time so he could relive his childhood, but then Ganon returned and with no hero to stop him, the goddesses flooded all of Hyrule. It's like Ocarina of Time was one great big mistake on Zelda's part.

    • @jakemartin2356
      @jakemartin2356 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Just depends on how you look at it. The events of OOT split the timeline 3 ways, the return of evil and of Ganondorf or Ganon occurs in every single timeline. The curse Demise put on himself, Zelda, and Link in Skyward Sword assures they will be locked in this endless cycle. No matter what she did or how she went about it, the return of the Demon King is always definite.

@@xxvaltielxx1789 Zelda watched Link stab Ganon squarely in the head, and then watched Ganon be sealed away. In The Legend of Zelda, these are the only things that actually work when sealing up Ganondorf. Sage-sealing, and Master Sword impalement.

I've always seen the image of Zant a bit of mockery, the final joke on Ganondorf. If you remember in OoT, the Master Sword was the final key that sealed away the whereabouts of the Triforce. In TP, when Link stabs Ganondorf, he essentially locks away the power of the Triforce of Power. It was that power that prevented Ganondorf from being executed in the first place, so his death came when its power was locked behind the Master Sword after being struck. Like Zant was a puppet of Ganondorf, Ganondorf was a puppet to the Triforce of Power…and "his strings had finally been cut." THAT is why Zant & his neck snapping are in there.

It was my first introduction to The legend of Zelda. Memories of playing this game come out of a time of deep darkness in my life and falling in love with this story, the characters, and the deep sadness, yet fulfillment the separation of our characters at the end of the story left me with will be something I always remember. This is my favorite Zelda game, I have so many good memories with it and your commentary made me realize just how high the stakes were and how tragic these situations are (I never realized it before just cuz I saw it as entertainment not a story [I last played this game when I was a little kid ok?! Lol])

I've never played any Zelda games, but your videos have made me love the series, I can't wait for more lore videos from you!
I'm someone who likes lore and music the most.
I've played A LOT of Pokémon games, I could care less about the actual battles, preferring to bop to the music, and get through battles ASAP to get back to the story.
I'm also glad you're here, I don't think I would have the patience/dexterity to properly play/enjoy these games, through you people like me can still enjoy these games.
Sometimes commentary can ruin moments, but your comments/narrations are perfect, and fit the stories perfectly!
I have a fear of spiders, but I'm glad I didn't skip because, although brief, your commentary was hilarious!
Thank you for the time stamp though!
The way you say wolf is adorable, and it's one of the things that makes these playthroughs yours.
It's not just any playthrough, and your pronunciation of wolf just adds to your video's charms!
I wouldn't change it for the world!
Why was the, Yeti love eww?
Was it because she looked like a kid/pupua(?) instead of an adult?
Hmm, King Boblin respects Link now eh?
Wonder how/if that will play out in a future enstalment!(?)
Just like William Afton, I believe Gannondorf will never truly be gone, "they will always come back."
And so will Link and Zelda!
Man LOZ games are dark and sad, and I thought some Pokémon games were bad...
I feel so bad for Midna, never being able to see her friends again, unless there's a shared afterlife where they can meet again!
All the pain she's endured, especially the ending with fighting Zelda's body! (doesn't sound great without context lol!
If you're a comment browser, please watch her video above for context!)
The writing in this enstalment is fantastic, huge kudos to the writing team at Nintendo!
Through your narration Link is not just a playable character, he's human, he feels things, he's alive!
Keep up the truly fantastic videos- maybe someday I'll actually be able to catch one of your streams, which then get edited, and put on here!

This was the first Zelda game that made me cry with sadness when the mirror to the twilight realm broke into pieces. it is a shame that Mindna was only in one game. I genuinely like the development and the character arc that Midna went throughout the game. That Midna wasn't a bad person, as we got to know her.

I’m always glad to come across someone who shares my feelings about spiders. Like SERIOUSLY, why do all fantasy games lean so hard into that trope??? If all the devs want is something that a lot of people are phobic about, why not use snakes? They can’t be any harder to animate, they don’t even have any limbs! Spiders have eight! Come on, game developers of the world, listen to Stan Bush and DARE to be different! (I know that Ghoma is a thing in the Zelda canon and all but still)
As I said on the last video, another truly excellent going-over of the story and lore of Twilight Princess. The superlative amount of time and effort you put into these videos is evident, and I think I speak for all your fans when I say we really appreciate the work you do. Eagerly looking forward to the next one!
(And come on, the yetis were cute together...unless you were just positing what that embrace must’ve smelled like in which case...fair enough)
