Through Major medical insurance or self pay? Was diagnosed 20 years ago at 21 years old. Appeared not long after first child. Dr said exactly what you said looked normal during scope but was MC from biopsy. He had no solutions for cause just meds to mask symptoms, I didn’t want to live on meds so I said I just live with it? And yep……. I got pregnant with my second and it went away as soon as I conceived and returned after delivery. I told that to 2 GI docs thinking that would be a clue for them to help me cure…but nope, they still seemed lost and just wanted to throw a med at the symptom of diarrhea. So here I am after 16 years still trying to figure it out on my own, not one solid stool since…. I know there are self pay wellness doctors but I’m single low income, so I’ve just dealt with it
@@user-ie3kk9oq1p Exactly. That's why we don't contract with insurance. Because it only gets in the way. If you can finance around $125/mo or so, then we can very likely help you sort this out.
Can you please give some examples of common causes you've found in patients with microscopic colitis? Are things like parasites, mold, dysbiosis, gut infections, thyroid conditions, BAM, food intolerances, Celiac common causes?
Yes. Absolutely. Those are all things that can cause microscopic colitis. Well, not thyroid conditions. They can cause digestive problems, but not inflammation/colitis.
