She made sure the bag wouldnt losen. Just in case he cried out. I truly cant get over this. To think he suffocated, just breaks me. Then the famiky - other than the step dad - NEVER cared about him.
Lori is definitely the best witness so far. Besides her attentiveness on that day, you could tell that she had been keeping the details of that horrible incident fresh in her mind so for her police statement. She described everything in most details. She told Erica not to save the video as a evidence. She even counted the times Trevizo flushed toilet.
Unfortunately, most of her details are INCONSISTENT with video evidence. She didn’t approach, pass or converse with AT. Not defending AT’s actions (she is definitely guilty) but thought people should know that certain witness recollection can be false memories.
@@Neuroworld888 Lori was the one to approach AT and have her sign the transfer papers. She was also the one to get the keys to the bathroom. Most if not all of it seems consistent
@@masterkni666 I should have clarified that I meant she did not interact with AT (on video) prior to her exiting the bathroom. Lori mentions checking on her while she’s in the bathroom and counting the # of flushes, but that is inconsistent with what we see in the video-Lori only approaches the bathroom with keys. Please correct me if I missed something but that’s what I saw when the full hospital surveillance was released.
@@Neuroworld888 I absolutely agree with your observations. This "misremembering" of facts of the hospital staff's detective interviews is very concerning to me. Lori & Chris both report to detectives that they knocked on the bathroom door several times to check on AT. CCTV footage does not support those claims. To completely fabricate having checked on AT by knocking & talking to her & also report the number of flushes she heard from outside the bathroom....this is a HUGE red flag. To be frank, these staff members couldn't even follow the instructions set by the detectives during the interview which was "please describe your interactions with AT from the first contact to the last contact with AT." Instead, these interviews are full of hearsay from other staff members & personal opinions on the situation. ER staff are required to chart the facts in meticulous detail every aspect of care they provide to the patient. At the end of shift you sign the chart & it is a LEGAL DOCUMENT at that point. It is concerning the level of inconsistencies of ER staff interviews & what we can see on the CCTV footage. AT is responsible for her decisions & choices to, at the very least, conceal her baby in the trash can. AT made a choice not to report to ER staff after she delivered the baby, regardless if she believed he had already passed or was still alive. That being said, based on my own experience as a ER Nurse for over a decade, it is painfully obvious to me that the hospital staff were not effective in their assigned positions surrounding AT & her baby. I could go on & on regarding what I know to be general best practices & protocols for any ER in the United States, and how this precious baby was failed by this ER staff over & over again. I sincerely hope that the way the events played out that night in the ER will be scrutinized by hospital administrators & those failures can become a teaching tool for all employees.🙏
Imagine if that housekeeper never thought twice about the weight of the trash bag…she might have gotten away with it…all she had to do was release custody to the hospital with zero questions asked…
Yessss!!! I keep thinking about this same thing!! Had the house keeper just gone about her business, cleaning up and then not bothered digging through a garbage can of hazardous waste, no one would have ever known the magnitude of what took place!! That poor woman is going to have so much trauma from this situation, for years to come. She is truly an Angel for taking such extra care and diligence in her job. 💜👏
This proves the baby was alive and died of suffocation from being in that bag the way she described everything. How disgusting. Alex ee deserves life in prison for this horrific event. She’s known, her cheerleader friends, her bf, and her mom all knew she was pregnant. This was so unavoidable. I hope the hospital pays for their therapy and not just some EAP program. That’s traumatic to witness.
I think she suffocated the baby so no one would hear him cry and then put him in the trash bag and trash can. I think she used the flushing to disguise any cries and to flush the placenta. I also think the bacteria found on the baby stated on the autopsy was from her from her hand covering his lil mouth and nose.
This poor nurse. When she talked about feeling guilty and tearing up that broke my heart. And just goes to show these types of things affect more than just the people involved. It affects everybody.
I don’t live anywhere even remotely near New Mexico, but if I lived in that area, I would feel so relieved to have this be my local hospital.
