it is surprising to think that this car is from 1979, it looks ten years ahead of its time.
I don' t agree with you. Why? Because BMW E23 looks even older and was produced till 1986? Remember, that W116 was introduced in 1972. In 1979 was already introduced W126 and this car (imho) was way ahead of his time.
I've never understood the point of indiscriminate cruelty to one's tires
Not to mention the rest of the car.
If it wasn't for these people driving their cars their own way they would have either
A rotted in a rich man's garage
B rusted to death in some form
And C be in a scrapyard for scalpers to take parts only for the whole car getting Sent to get crushed or turned into schrapnel

Saw one of these last week on someones backyard, rotting.. Got 280 SE but 350 SE id much more good looking mercedes!

Nope. Beleive it or not that w116 has the m120 merc v12 shoehorned into it, and it's the same exact sky blue car in the previous video.
