    I got all of the three packs for Iridium, now. And i am going to buy a bundle for Arturia Matrixbrute, a bit later. SMV is the one of my favorite designers. KK, SMV and one (secret!) left.

    Do these have samples ? And if so, how much space is needed ?

    • @smvproducer
      @smvproducer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of them yes. And the space needed is about 10 MB.

      I just checked to be more precise. The sample folder is 2.9 MB

    Sorry to say so. I own a Waldorf Q Phoenix 32-voice, a XTK 30-voice, and I did sell my Iridium. Why? Well, you have a zillion possibilities, agreed. But sound wise, the Quantum and the Iridium simply sound like plastic or a poor VST. Even Omnisphere sounds 100x better. And please, for those who own Quantum/Iridium... do not deny reality!! There simply is no nastiness, no bite or sexyness in the sounds. Not. And finally, that should be no problem. If you only had to pay peanuts. But they are meant to be top notch synths....which they are NOT ! Of course, that is very, very hard to admit when you payed a lot of money for a synth...

      I also have a Q Halloween edition 32 voices, have a Moog One 16, Prophet 10 rev 4, an OBX8 , a MatrixBrute , an Access virus ti, a Moog voyager and a Prophet 08. I had an Andromeda A6 and a Clavia nord modular G2X. Just to say that is your opinion (respectable ), but I do not deny anything. To me, the Quantum is one of the best synth out there. For sound quality, for an amazing user interface and a programmability without limits. I would buy again this synth without any doubts. I also have Omnisphere , that for me it sounds not so good as a Quantum. So, what I want to say, is that people can have different opinions and taste, but you should not say what people may or may not admit. I am completely in love with my Quantum

      @@smvproducer I understand that when people spend +4K on a synth, it is hard to admit is sounds not as good as the manufacturer wants you to believe it sounds. Not a personal opinion at all. I do work for 35 years in professional audio, and my ears are my income... ooops. 🙂 Read again, a zillion possibilities, and people are blinded by that, but the Quantum simply does not sound dynamic and rather dull compared to some beasts like a XTK. The Quantum / Iridium are ok for some ambient sounds, but that's it. Been there, done that.

      @@andrewgenner2613 of course ;) what I don't like is when people, that are free to say their opinion, think, or better, are sure about what other people may think about something. So, for the man who commented here, I am (with many other people ) blaming myself for purchasing a Waldorf Quantum🤣🤣

      Well I think it´s like argue about taste. Honestly, I´m selling of a part of my synth collection. But what I noticed, many times I had the smae feeling with a lot of synths after a while. The hard truth, most synths we own are completely redundant, but they inspire us, and sometimes they stop insppiring. I am now currently thinking of taking the two sequential synths out of the selling. They stopped inspiring me, but since they´re priced high, they´re now shelved for a couple of months safe and secure....and then I started missing them. And honestly, sometimes I here other creators make stuff with synths, wow! But for some the synth didn´t click with me. And omnisphere, I had him for two years, hardly used him in projects, But something stopped me from exploring. And two days ago, because it´s hell hot here, I started designing, and suddenly I started having that moment of wow. Sometimes things need to click!
