This was AWESOME! Wow. I LOVE steam engines this made my day! I have subbed. I imagine one of these must run around 10-15 Grand! Gorgeous steamers fantastic video.
Wow those engines really motor along. Pretty impressive, to me anyway. Love that red and orange fancy looking engine and passenger cars. The whistle/horn sounded full scale accurate, pretty cool.
Lovely Video and Hobby, congradulations and Thank You All involved....... A Lateral House vs a Round House........... The orance 115vac power coard attaches as he was puting away the engine at the end, anyone know the reason for this durring the warm weather months?
You know, with all of the videos I've watched of the ride-on scale steam locomotives I've never asked, who or what company builds them? I have an Accucraft Ruby live steam engine, which I have ran once on some track and numerous times on rollers but these are really beautiful.
I like the Daylight Steamer. I would like to know where he got the building plans for it. I’m interested in Building an Old time Streamliner and I’m lost on where to look. Thanks and keep the Video’s coming..
The daylight was built from the Little Engines light northern casting line. If you Google Little Engines, their website should come up and they are also on Facebook.
Steven C some derail. It all depends on what engine you have. For instance if you have a heavy engine such as a norther, then it might derail more often the a mogul because of the weight. Also, prices of engines span form around 20k-100k. The cost depends on the size, effort, detail, and gauge of the locomotive.
+TrainMan5632 the heavier an engine, the less likely it is to derail (assuming good track-work). A mogul is much more prone to derail because it doesn't have much weight.
DesertRat1231 I don't think so. The track and switches are built for light engines. I don't think it can handle bigger then that 2-4-4-2. Maybe it could figuring the fact that it only would have 2 more wheels
Shawnn101 Gaming If your talking about the orange on then that is a Southern Pacific class gs4. That livery is the daylight and the whistle is I believe a Hancock 3 chime.
I think a lot of clubs are more interested in having active members that get involved with the running and upkeep than charging an arm and a leg for membership. My local club has about 50 members and we are lucky if we see more than 5 members at a work party
I believe the current ILS dues are $276 a year. There is also a $50 storage fee for storing your rail equipment, but the fee is waved if you volunteer 12 hours of work at the club throughout the year.
+vector6977 It was called an oscillating headlight. It transcribed a figure-8 pattern, to warn of its approach. Of course, there was also a standard headlight, which did not move.
I'm interested to cooperate on open sites in my country, I am optimistic certainly succeeded with the support of a lot of population and land prices are relatively cheap
Have you guys ever thought about making these systems remote-controlled with proper feedback using electronic valve displays that can wirelessly transmit the information to a central control system? And have the valves themselves be actuated by servos, that you can control over wireless. It seems to be a better idea, I think. Lets the ships run without needing giant-people walking on top of them. :P
It never ceases to amaze me how much pulling power these small engines have... Amazing vid btw
I wish I had never found these. Now I must have one 🙂
I'm glad people have this hobby!
It is the Coolest!
Agreed
This looks like so much fun! I love trains and I’d love to have something like this in my backyard! 😁
Riding of this train must be pure pleasure!
Love the Daylight, my favorite locomotive!!!!
The best loco for the best country🇺🇸
AMERICA RULES!
This is a joke since I’m aussie

I plan on living on a ranch in the future, and if i do, im going to make a 2.5" scale (7.5" gauge) narrow guage railroad.
You do you
Schiller Memestar that’s what I want to do too
I’m thinking of building a 19 gauge railway

Amazing! Simply amazing! Steam on!

To keep the batteries for the electronic components on charge.
GREAT VIDEO THANKS
That orange and black locomotive is absolutely beautiful!
That would be the daylight. One of the real daylight steam locomotives still runs. Search "Southern Pacific 4449".
TrainTrackTrav Thanks :)
It's a southern pacific daylight if your wondering
RailFan Jake Thanks
It is a daylight I have one but it is blue green and yellow.
When someone asks what I want to do with my life, I'll just show them this video
Mind boggling what these guys do. I'm speechless.
How much do these engines weigh
Ohh little river, it's good to see that I'm not the only one who remembers the early bigboy, 2-4-4-2
Love the gyro light on the 4454, I caught that at the end.
It isn't good railroading until someone it loading up the tender with coal without their shirt on.
The Daylight 4454 is sweet!
Love the Daylight
This is awsome i love trains ..

Like the size
Question? What is the model for that little river railroad co.
How much to get a union Pacific big bay in this scale?
For this is a good Video of the Trains of yesteryear & it looks like it cost a lot to build 1 & keep it up & Tuning.
It's just so... relaxing!
Where did you get all of those trains and tracks and stuff for it
that looks like fun!

Is there a Union Pacific 844?
this is just big boys playing with big toys
These people made these trains homemade and maybe took them months or years
miro Vesterinen “big boys”
2 questions.
1. about how much do those steam engines weigh?
2. Do they derail often or at all?
Steven C some derail. It all depends on what engine you have. For instance if you have a heavy engine such as a norther, then it might derail more often the a mogul because of the weight. Depends on how the loco is built
Had to keep fast forwarding just to get to the daylight engine
I would like to have this as a weekend job and I would love to drive a steam engine on this railway.
LOOOOOOOOVE IT! ♥♥♥
and where is this place?
Could their tracks and rail yard handle a 4-8-8-4 and it's tender (vis-à-vis the UP 4000 series)?
DesertRat1231 I don't think so. The track and switches are built for light engines. I don't think it can handle bigger then that 2-4-4-2. Maybe it could figuring the fact that it only would have 2 more wheels
6:00 that guy is driving one of my favourite locomotives!
What is your favorite steam powered locomotive?
Mine is the "Big Boy" 4014
Three way tie: UP 844/SP 4449/NW 611
Good choice. Also has a very unique design.
at 9:11 dude is just living the life. no cares, just relaxing on the rails.
Where did you get this?
are the steam trains quarter scale
Eighth scale actually. 1.5” scale 7.5” gauge
If you ever fancy staying in Britain on holiday I would advise going to Wales and Norfolk
I really want a miniature 4-8-2 light mountain type locomotive because if this channel
What type of coal do you use, and where can I buy it for international markets?
What the train called so I can buy one
Shawnn101 Gaming If your talking about the orange on then that is a Southern Pacific class gs4. That livery is the daylight and the whistle is I believe a Hancock 3 chime.
That Daylight engine is the prettyiest steam engine I've ever seen. I love that engine.
Motherbrain Jr yeah they're pretty nice
Is this which country
how get this train model?
I always wonder how much it costs to be a member at a place like that!
It only cost me $60 to join a live steam club like this one.
I think a lot of clubs are more interested in having active members that get involved with the running and upkeep than charging an arm and a leg for membership. My local club has about 50 members and we are lucky if we see more than 5 members at a work party

I would have thought it would be a thousand or more. Wish I had somthing like this close lucky guys
Where do you live though? There are live steam clubs like this all over the US. I live about 1-1.5 hours from two clubs, and I'm a member of both.
What sort of pressures are ya'll using?
What is medium weight of this model locomotive?.
Where at in Illinois is this?
The club is south of Chicago; however, it is private and not open to the general public.
Is that a true Mallet or just a simple articulated?
Where is this? I wanna go!
This is a great video. Would love to have you visit our organization to see what we do.
Thank you! Which organization do you belong to?
Jersey Shore Live Steam
We are on Facebook and TH-cam.
Ah, yeah I've seen your page. If I'm ever out that way I'll have to stop by and visit.
I want a free train
I would love a 19 gauge version of train #4454 Is that a gas powered steam boiler?
JR Lenard: steam
dude were did you get those
Jennifer Garcia they made them
How do you buy and where do you find a train How much do thy cost. Looks very expensive
Walt Moore you don’t- you build them. Unless you can cut a check for $50,000-$100,000
So, are these like, one-off custom builds or what?
+DaBlazeMann Generally, yes
very nice😊
Where can I get one
Well you have to build it yourself or get it commissioned
I liked the alco at 0:48
Great hobby
How to find this plan?
This is so cool, do you know of any clubs in NH?
Why is the daylights headlight wavering? is that something unique to this model or does the real locomotive do that too?
its very bizarre to look at
+Q'Kumber The real locomotive has a orbiting warning light. I don't recall what it is actually called though.
+vector6977 It was called an oscillating headlight. It transcribed a figure-8 pattern, to warn of its approach. Of course, there was also a standard headlight, which did not move.
+Toledo1940 it's also called a MARS light
Only if it was RED, like the planet after which it was named.
+Toledo1940 look on Google images and you'll find red and oscillating lights.
7:12 CocaCola takes on a new meaning with all that coal dust.
Berapakah harga 1 lokomotif itu??
Do you pretend you're a giant while riding on these locomotives?
Nice close ups, check out my channel of the moving of the BIG BOY 4014 here in Pomona Ca.

Happy National Railroad History Day! (May 10th)
where is the place that you drive those and how do they coast
now THATS a facility

NKato it wouldn’t be any fun radio controlled. Part of the realism is running it like a real locomotive with the valves, knobs and levers.
whta if the trains deraied they would be heavy
I like trains
I loved them sense I was 1
