I don't judge you for Hatsune Miku, I judge you for plugging a charger into the wall *before* plugging the charger into the PC and for ruining the screw.
I was about to respond to this 'Well, usually you connect the charger first in case it blows up'. But then I realized you meant the horrible safety hazard that is the power cable.
@Slay1337pl Well, even if you would want to test the charger, then go do that... but then plug it out of the wall. Then plug the PC end in first and THEN plug it into the wall.
@@ABlobIf those devices use LOW voltages supplied via a Step-Down Converter or some kind of AC-DC conversion, OR, if those devices are rechargeable like a Laptop for instance, all of the devices I have just mentioned are DESIGNED in such a way that it EXPECTS the user to keep the MAINS VOLTAGE WALL PLUG connected to the Wall Socket at all times and that it instead assumes that for convenience sake the Low Voltage end (side) of the cable would be easily accessible and used to safely power up those devices. Devices older than around 2000 in the West (Western Europe, United States, Australia, a few other places like Japan) however may not follow this design behaviour and so may not happily accept hot-plugging even of the low voltage output, so devices like retro games consoles, and other retro electronics should NOT be hot plugged at the low voltage end. ANY Appliance that is high voltage (50V+) and even remotely high amperage (1A+) should typically be treated with care, and older electronics should be treated with extreme care as not all of them are grounded even when supplied to markets where mains power expects the use of a grounding pin in the plug head. As you mentioned, the SAFEST way to handle ANYTHING electrical is to first plug the target device/object into it's own supplied or compatible power cord, such that if it requires voltage conversion like a Laptop typically does then the only part that isn't plugged in would be your Wall Socket Outlet end, in the USA this can be Two or Three Pin, in Europe this can be a variety of designs but mostly similar to the USA in that they are Two or Three Pin, and in the UK they are typically Three Pin with some devices using just Two of the pins, although in all cases if you ever have the option it is always recommended to use a 3-Pin Wall Outlet Plug. The reason that the WALL SOCKET should be plugged in last is because they are designed and built in such a way that they offer the most benefit to protecting the user from electrocution whilst following a recognised standard for design parameters. Never turn on a socket then plug a C13/C14/C16/C19 cable into a computing device, you run a much higher risk of damaging something or hurting yourself, they are not designed to be Hot-Plugged. The ONLY power standard that I'm aware of in wide & common public use that is DESIGNED to be Hot-Plugged is the USB Standard for Power Delivery, either via the USB Type-A Connector or via the USB Type-C Connector, do however bare in mind that some Manufacturers from China have at times strayed away from the original USB Power Delivery Standard and instead offered their own unique take on the solution which may not be as safe or as robust as the original USB Power Delivery Standard is, brands that I know that have done this are OPPO, Vivo, &, OnePlus, as well as any brands under those parent company's such as IQOO. These aren't the only brands that have done it either, they just happen to be more prominent abusers of the USB Power Delivery Standard.
@@robogamer9849 Well, there would at least be a brief moment where electricity would want to bridge the small gap between the power cable and the PC and doing that could cause some damage to the connectors (and maybe could also cause it to repeatedly get power and no power (and maybe also some irregular amount of power too) while attempting to plug it in properly, which also isn't good for electronics).
I love how this pc can handle the most resource intensive game, but it can’t handle a game that released from the same year as Portal 1, and has less resources. Truly amazing.

5:02 Actually that's backwards. The system is on the SSD and the hard drive is where the game files are stored. Some games ONLY come with an SSD, and in that case, the SSD has both the OS and game files on it.
Unless you have opened an arcade or multiple its quite new for people to realise most arcade games are just a computer with special software and custom io boards hooked up. Most run windows or Gnu/Linux or even sometimes a custom distro. The os is usually on an ssd or a sata DOM(disk on module) (if its a bare motherboard they usually have a sata dom plugged in. The games also have an encryption key that needs to be inserted to unlock the app stack or the os. And sometimes they have to be hooked up to special servers/managed switches by the game development company. The software starts at boot and if it does not crash it hides the windows or linux desktop. The game/app stack is the real magic sauce here which does everything. The io boards often are hooked up via usb(serial)
Up until the late 90s/early 2000s almost everything had custom Hardware and arcades had better graphics than PCs and consoles But as the arcade market shrunk and PC graphics improved, everyone switched to PC as it was cheaper.
Hi, as someone who repairs arcade games for a living, I want to build on what you and @tristan6509 stated. Almost all arcade games that have visual graphics (So excluding most claw machines and coin pushers) use personal computers that are comprised of consumer hardware. Most are actually pre-built systems from manufactures like HP or dell and small mini pc's like the intel nuc. The software will verify that its in the game by using usb keys and other custom usb boards that also control functions such as buttons and cabinet lights. If you can get ahold of a tower from an arcade game from the last 5ish years. You can reinstall windows 10 or 11 from a usb and have a very competent gaming machine with a 60-80 level Nvidia card from varying generations. I think the most interesting development in arcade computers is the company UNIS is starting to launch games using custom android boards. I don't know why, but its interesting.
The screws were probably JIS screws and not Philips. They look mostly indistinguishable, but if you try to use a Philips bit on a JIS screw, you’ll almost always ruin the screw.
its actually rly cool this pc debuted in project diva, tho i am also very biased towards miku and that game LOL. but considering the vague rhythm game/vocaloid theming to this channel sometimes, i don't think its weird at all to see it. also surprises me seeing how it runs other games considering its running diva :P but ig diva runs p well on pc when its made to be used on it (also rly cool to see arcade version running on it)
I find that those game stutters are more a result of loading shaders and assets. Once the shaders and assets are in memory, the games run just fine. This is also what the shader pre-caching is for, it pre-loads it to reduce temporary stuttering.
The bitlocker on those drives is probably tpm based. Meaning chip responsible for keys is in that pc. I believe since you have access to that machine you can use it to generate the tpm keys and remove the bitlocker. Pretty sure only vulnerable versions of bitlocker are user selected pin based encryption and tpm with hardware access. I would definitely image the drives before you do anything to them so you can always restore.

Next time, plug in the janky charger thingy, that white plug thingymajigy, inside the back first, and then you take the wall cord, and plug it in, this white thingymajigy might have some exposed contacts, and if you touch those with live mains running through it, it might give you a shocking, hopefully not finalé? You get what i am saying ;)
Where and how do you download individual games like that? I thought the only way to install game to PC was through steam. I know very little about pc gaming and I don't have steam.
I seriously need to get a drum for Taiko, so I can experience it how it’s meant to be played. (I’ve been playing it on my phone lol) I should also try the Project Diva games again, at least on PC this time. I can’t get into it due to how I used to play it on console (PSVITA, PS3/4) and me just getting overwhelmed with the controller inputs due to key spam. (I don’t mind key spam on 4K Osu! Mania and Quaver, but this is just nuts on roller.)
Ok... So not gonna lie here, in the back of my mind I was thinking "what if taiko ran on this thing?" And the dude proceeds to play the exact title I was thinking of and proceeded to get really excited As a chronically addicted taiko player I must thank you kindly lad for reading a random viewer's mind XD
when you connected power to the adapter first and then connected the adapter to the computer it hurt a bit. also pd-loader should be adding a pause menu, when I press start on my controller it pauses the game. and there is a english ui patch? i gotta install that.
Now how do you get the coin op features back in the computer along with rebuilding the arcade cabinet. Any computer can run games but making a computer that can run games while talking money from people... priceless.
Those drives you removed near the beginning of the video should still work just fine if you put them back in the way they were seated. Not that it would matter since you were missing that key chip. Would it be possible to find a replacement key chip to truly experience the original config? The world may never know.
Pretty sure all the storage media from that computer got absolutely FRIED due to the Bitlocker encryption. If it isn’t straight up gone, it’s just useless junk data now.
