I can tell you, that video will be 2 years old next month….i changed the FRONT arms 2 mos ago. I am still running the rears. So, I am a fan. Now, I read and heard that RC’ers dislike them for certain model cars. I know for 6s Arrma Kraton, many would rather the Arrma EXB arms. So, possibly the Rustler version sucks. Hard to say. For me, I will initially replace with RPM , then form my own opinion. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the video! Will be doing this mod tonight! As people have said, the RPM ones are prone to bending, in the future, can I replace the arms with arrma Typhon 3s original ones?

i have a brushed granite that i have upgraded to a brushless granite and the brushed granite does not have turn buckles in the first place, could i just get arms that already are the proper distance or do i have to buy the granite ones and then get the bigger ones? Keep a eye on those rpm arms they flex alot and can cause broken or bent shock shafts. Over time they stay bent out of shape un unevenly. And cause your rear shocks to rip out from the arm when landing because they flex so bad.

Looks a lot better 👍
Looks cool right?! We ll how it runs! Thx for watchin’ bro!
Good stuff! Got my aluminum A-Arms coming tomorrow to do this, and wing mount should get here soon. Very helpful!
where did you find the wing mount?
Aluminum? Wow. Who makes those?
@@donblake329 Are you in Canada? I ordered it from Big Boys with Cool toys, near Toronto
Oh really?! Cool! I order from them. How much were they there? Thanx for watching!
Cool! Yes, I am in Canada. I order from there occasionally.
Do you know if this wider stance mod can be done on the Senton 3s as well? I know the a-arms are the same for the Granite and Senton so am I correct in assuming this would work on my Senton as well? Great video and it makes it look much tougher!
Yes! Totally do-able!! I think i widened Senton would look insane! Not sure how the body would fit..Thanx for watching
@@phillybrc thanks so much for responding. I love how you respond to your viewers. Thats one of the reasons I watch your channel. I love my Senton as is, but I agree, I think it would look SICK with a wider stance and provide it much more stability. I've already trimmed the body to accommodate larger wheels and tires and have ordered ZD Racing shock which should raise the stance just a bit, so I think it would work. Keep you updated. Thanks for the idea! 👍👍
@@bigdeal5394 Right on brother, ya I d love to know how you make out. Email a pic sometime. Philborrelli@hotmail.com. Thanx for watchin!
cool video and great info
Thanx brother, appreciate you.
Thanks for the video! Might be doing this. Too bad I bought a ton of stock arms already ;-D
Always works out that way. Lol. You won t regret it, I’m tellin you! Thanx for watchin.
@@phillybrc Thanks for the reply! I got all paranoid and bought a ton of stock spares because my last RC went obsolete due do discontinued broken A arms ;-D Now I feel dumb as parts I didn't stock up on break and I don't have them and the parts I did buy I want different ones....
Hey do u have to buy new drives hats also for the extra lengtg
No you dont, since the the Granite and Typhon use same length driveshafts. Best mod! Thanx
Does it help with the handling at all?
Yes it does, honestly I really like how the truck feels. Less rollovers, very planted and a cheap mod! Thanx for watching.
Ime wondering if the Rpm stronger than a arrma set . Was out bashing cartwheels like crazy bad jumps still learning my big rock been doing this for 2 months no breaks big air. Went to bash spot . This guy breaks out a russler in 5 jumps smaller than mine broken rpm arm it was new he told me. Hmm looking at your video the Rpm much thinner . His twisted . Let us know if they hold up. So far stock arrma doesn't seem bad to me . On my slash there a must have. There way better than stock but have broken a few.Bash on bro.👍
Parts just came in should I adjust camber n toe after the upgrades or one by one as I go along?
I recommend doing all 4 at once, after the fact on a flat service.
Thanks for the video! Will be doing this mod tonight! As people have said, the RPM ones are prone to bending, in the future, can I replace the arms with arrma Typhon 3s original ones?
I like the RPM ones bcause if they bend, it s easy to just flip them and install on the oppesite side. No big deal. Yes, you can use stock Typhon and Big Rock arms. Thanks for watching
@@phillybrc thanks for the info bud! Good vid, do I do camber and toe adjustment according to typhon spec?
@@truongyboi1989 yes, but you buy the fixed plastic links that come on the Mega brushed version. They flex and don t bend, many are going this route!
@@phillybrc thankyou, I'll take a look!
i have a brushed granite that i have upgraded to a brushless granite and the brushed granite does not have turn buckles in the first place, could i just get arms that already are the proper distance or do i have to buy the granite ones and then get the bigger ones? (im asking if there are ones are big enough that i dont have to buy multiple and put it all together)
You can buy the AR330541. Composite links for the Typhon. Should be perfect length. You ll need 4
Great job!
Thanx sooo much!!
Thanx on the sub! I subbed back! Look forward to checkin it out!
@@phillybrc I seen that. Thank you. I appreciate that. We should have some good videos soon. Some interesting stuff, I hope
Nice 🙌🏼
Thank you
Do you need to buy the different turnbuckles what’s the difference from the stock ones
You do, as stated in the video. You need more length since you re widening the the stance. That help?
Can you add a link to buy everything we need in the description please
It s in the video and in the description. Thanx for watching!
What’s the measurements on your arms after you fine tuned? Like top and steering arms
www.arrma-rc.com/en/product/composite-link-set/ARA330541.html. I used the length of these arms from the Typhon Mega. I don t have the measurements, sorry
do you know if you can use the typhon 6s turnbuckles? that's all I can find
Not offhand. The exploded view on the Arrma website will be able to show you. I m guessing not though
I'm confused by the use of stock turnbuckles. I seem to only have a few threads left after adjustment. Doesn't feel strong.
Is there an alternative or the turnbuckles?
Stock Typhonturnbuckles, not stock Granite turnbuckles.
Wonder I own the typhon 3s as well should just be able to swap yeah? Lol already have the 17mm hr hexes that gave it a wider stance as well with this should be killer lol
Yes! Not should be, will be!! It s an awesome mod for sure. You ll love it. Thanx for watching Kyle.
@@phillybrc anytime man always looking for new things to do with the granite although I have changed it so much haha you wouldn't even know it was unless you look at the chassis lol
@@kylefletcher1002 Right on, have fun with it!
@@phillybrc yo Philly I used my parts from the typhon which was already set to the typhons needs I wonder if I even have to mess with the camber and toe I never researched that stuff but isn't that just set because of the arms length or is it more in depth than that lol
@@kylefletcher1002 if it was good on your typhon, chances are good that you should be fine. Not too precise for bashing but it is if you re racing.
How the stock axle are holding with this mod ?? they seems to be stretched to the limit???
They aren t though, same driveshafts thst typhon uses!
Kinda worried about the driveshafts popping out lol Any issues with that yet?
No not at all! No issues.
Do the drive shafts not pop out? Do you not need to change them?
You do not need to change the driveshafts, the Typhon and Granite use the same driveshafts actually. Good to go!
Can I do the same even though I have a brushed motor on mine?I don't see how I can use turnbuckle or am I missing something?
You can but you would need to buy turnbuckles and rod ends listed in the video or you can buy ARA330541 for composite links. Does that make sense. Hope this helps.
Thank you
you used stock drive shafts? no issues?
Nope. No issues at all! Still ruunnin this Granite! Thx
Awesome video. Does this work on a Granite Mega v3?
Yes it does! Thanx for watching.
@@phillybrc thanks alot bro. Just subscribed great content keep it up!!
@@razo8812 Thanx for that!! Appreciated
How much more width does it have now I measured mine at 13.5 and I’m trying to figure out how much wider it would be
You gain 1/2" each side, a noticeable difference in handling and looks. Thankx!
Ok can u ask u this... when u put down the turnbuckle part number then x6. They come in 2s. So order 3 of them correct???
Correct! 4 for the front end, 2 for the rear.
@@phillybrc ok cool, just making sure I didn't order way to many lol
Did u reuse the tie rods ends? Just recived my turnbuckles today, waiting on a arms now
@@bluesteel355 Yes, same ends. Just twist them on!
@@phillybrc ok. I bent the ones on there now. So hopefully they ain't worn out
I’m doing the same on my senton what are the length of the turnbuckles

You know if this widens the vorteks, or is it just as wide as the Typhon?
Yes it widens the Vorteks

Hi, iv been offered one of these nearly new for £240..would you recommend it at all? Cheers
This truck is absolutely awesome! I m not sure how much money that is but I know you will enjoy!!
@@phillybrc About $300ish. Ok sounds good.
How much wider does this make it? It doesn’t look like more 1/4 of an inch per side
It s like 1/2” each side. It does alot for stability! Try it and let me know how it goes.
You can use outcast 4s arms to make it much wider
I heard about that, havn t seen much about it though. Did you do it?
question what electric screwdriver do you have? I am looking for one and not sure what i should get
DEWALT 8V MAX Cordless Screwdriver Kit, Gyroscopic, 2 Batteries, Electric (DCF680N2) a.co/d/7MVJ0zm. This is what i m using now and I love it. It gyroscopic. 👍🏻
OK thx man looks good I'll grab that
@@m.g.5477 Good move!
Where did you get the arms from ??? I would like to do the upgrade to my truck ??
The arms were just bought from my local hobby shop. They are a common part, google them and someone should be able to ship to you. Thanx for watchin’ bro!
Is the same width as a big rock.
The newest version, yes. Also, same as Typhon. Version 2 BigRock is narrower
Keep a eye on those rpm arms they flex alot and can cause broken or bent shock shafts. Over time they stay bent out of shape un unevenly. And cause your rear shocks to rip out from the arm when landing because they flex so bad.
Thanx man. You are absolutely right on that lol. Now I just flip them iver and switch side. They ve been great since. Thans alot!
@@phillybrc don't let them bend too much before you swap. They can crack and snap. You can try boiling and put right in freezer for 5 minutes to help stiffen a little.
@@phillybrc went through 2 sets of rpm arms on my kraton 4s. After bending and breaking 6+ front and rear shock shafts. I'm back to stock until I order aluminum arms.
Have you though of switching the Granite Chassis with a Big Rock Chassis?

Gonna do that is it the same width as the Big rock now??
Yes it is! Sorry I missed your comment somehow>

Would it be wider if I used the bigrock arms?
No. Just as wide. Typhon and bigrock use same arms!
What tool do you use for getting the pin out?
One pin gets pushed out with a real small screwdriver and one gets pulled out with pliers. Thanx for watching. Good luck.
