    The springs were too stiff or long for my hyper 7 buggy, i put on rc8 springs to give me proper ride height. Really good shocks for the money, 16mm bore,4mm shaft, bleed cap, bladders, nice fit and finish. Only complaint is no hardware for the top. I made mine on a 3d printer.

    I tried these on my Typhon 3s after I shortened them considerably. One shaft bent and another one is leaking. I suppose they hold up about as well as the stock ones. But I've replaced three shocks in 1 1/2 years using them.

    For someone who really doesn't jump the truck much,is there any benefit to the shocks as far as steering?,I honestly love the truck it has metal pivot pins throughout but the steering just lacks imo.everything I've read about servos doesn't seem to aide in the steering...I would like it a lot tighter and more responsive

    • @phillybrc
      @phillybrc  ปีที่แล้ว

      In terms of steering, I d say your stock shocks would work fine, but to say a better servo does not make a difference…I disagree. I servo with more torque will be able to turn wheels more sharply. This will help muscle through higher-traction, higher-resistance surfaces(like tall grass etc). Does that make sense? Try the Animos or Zoskay blue 25 or 35kg Amazon servo. It does a good job.

    • @alscompleteoutdoor9091
      @alscompleteoutdoor9091 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phillybrc you think as far as the torque in the servo?, everything I've read says there is no real quicker response on the steering with the servo.i honestly think it's just the design...when you look at the steering linkage the travel is really short...with another even 16th of inch of travel it seems like it wouldn't need such a long distance to turn....I have big parking lot I rip around in and at higher speeds it just under steers horrible.this is just all my years of being a fleet mechanic,I'm not a engineer by any means

Those are the absolute worst design imo , China junk on the Rlaarlo Omni has the e clips and they break all the time . Anyways for $30 some OGRC shocks are legit , big bore whatever they’re called . Totally fit the bill for my granite . The only other thing I’m adding is a center brace for the top and a globact alum steering thingy if I gets bad .
