yes pleease i just got my licensr and im driving a 2009 honda odyssey and my family didddd not take care of the car like clean wise and alll i want to dooo is clean it but idek where to start all ive done so far is take the trash out😣
@@ranaakhogyani2351 what i often do is to start off with removing every object in the car that i can easily remove without tools (papers, trash, floor mats etc.). Then i start vacuuming the floor and scrubbing the dirt that's stuck in the carpet with a vacuum and a brush. Really take your time with it. I do the exact same for the seats. Allthough i wouldnt scrub leather seats. Instead i use leather wipes that moisturize the leather. If u have stains in your seats or floor i would suggest using a steam cleaner but there are many ways to remove stains easily, just check on youtube. For the dashboard, door panels and center console i would use APC and some microfibre towels and a small brush. If there are scratches on the textured plastic parts, you can remove them using a heatgun (there are videos on youtube about them). Finally for the windows, i recommend using a waffle weave window towel and window cleaner. Most of these tools are rather easy to find and you can find them for cheap as well. To be honest, if you regularly clean your car inside and out and take goof care of it. You will never have to see a detailer like this in your life.

Davy Arthurs seriously, me and my friend bought the same exact model car from 2018 and I got mine a month before he got his and mine looks brand new still and his looks like a homeless person has moved in. I’ve been getting him to be better about cleaning up his car but he has a long ways to go, he just simply doesn’t care. I’m like how the fuck do you get any girls to get in your car when your seats have crumbs and trash everywhere and sticky shit all over the center console. I’ll never understand why people let their cars get this bad. The worst my car ever got was between the last 6 months, I had like 7 cups in my car the blender bottle ones with just water, some mail a shirt, towel and gloves. My dash was a bit dusty but that’s the worse state my cars have ever gotten. Plus it feels so amazing when your cars clean inside and out and feels brand new again. That’s probably one of my favorite things is getting in my car for a drive after cleaning her up again. Feels like the day I got her and that makes me happy.
Davy Arthurs I opted for cleaning my “new” car once a week to prevent that. Seats really need cleaning as well as the seat belts but I don’t have an extractor yet.

As far as the $900+ dollars for a full detail, that's pretty reasonable for the Columbus area. Especially if you're in the Dublin or Upper Arlington area. They've got more money than they know what to do with. My grandma lived in Upper Arlington for 40+ years until she died a couple months ago. I live in Athens County and the full details around here are around $150. So it just depends on where you live really
Just out of curiosity: how long does your drill last on a detail like this? Is one charge enough or do you go through multiple batteries during the detail?
I've always wondered how much your details cost and how long they take. The price was a sticker shock, but to be honest most people are not gonna to take the time, have the knowledge, or the tools do to the level of detailed cleaning that you do. Getting a truly dirty car clean is a huge task that most folks can't or won't tackle so I feel like your services would be money well spent. But, I really appreciate how you give tips, tricks, and information for those of us who want to try to detail our own cars! Great video and great information as usual.
That 900 bucks checks happened when you missed that 15 bucks cleaning one too many time. Regular cleaning is so much cheaper than one major detailing job
Kevin Eaton if he charged less than that he’s not making any money for the amount of work done, people gotta stop bitching and learn to clean their own shit if they don’t wanna pay simple as that
$15 for an automatic car wash is a little steep, though. In texas ours is like $9 for a basic wash, and that’s all you need. $975 for a full detail is honestly reasonable because, I mean just look at what the guy has to deal with. He could easily get sick from anything lurking in that mess. Taking into account supplies AND labor, $975 may look crazy to some, but for the quality of work, it makes perfect sense.
I work as a detailer at a Hyundai Dealer. It’s amazing how many of these elantras come in looking like this. So many of them have this light beige or light grey cloth interior. I’ve had some so bad that it doesn’t matter how many passes with the extractor I did, I still ended up having to dye the seats after. Part of me now wants a black light at work, the other part of me doesn’t even wanna know.
Probably the first time I've regretted my Saturday ritual of "Stauffer and Breakfast...." Genuinely disgusted by the state of the rear seats. It's not often when kids AREN'T the primary rear seat mess-makers.
Best detail video I've seen today (the 4th one so far) you have the most tools and expensive setup. By far the most professional and by far the most EXPENSIVE service lol. Almost 1000?? I might stay detailing
Whenever I purchase a used car or I'm detailing a car, I always hit it with Lysol where safe to do so. With all the action cars get you never know what's in there. Sad to see your not wearing protective gear but otherwise another great everyday driver cleansing.
When you soak the rear bench seat on the table it looks like the water goes right through the seat. Does it? Always wondered about wetting the seats too much.
I was hoping you were more towards Cleveland. I make a trip a couple times out there to go to cedar point and would love to have my car detailed by you 😭
My father is a mechanic. We had a few former customer cars that he personally bought and fixed over the years. And universally, every one had to be vacuumed immediately. Often, they come with four-year-old receipts for McDonalds and $1.50 in change. One was so bad that we had to replace the carpet (there was a hole in the footwell). It's amazing how many people drive rolling dumpsters.
@@tomsmith9048 why would the type of car matter? It's all about time and supplies used. This guy is pretty damn expensive, if that's what a job like this costs. I mean he's making a week's pay in a day. It's kind of stupid for anyone to come to him.
@@clintstathis I dont know what hes charging I was just having the craic 😝 but something tells me a detailer would charge more for Bugatti chiron than a Honda civic 🙄
Clint Stathis the type of car would matter because of the type of seating/paneling is in the car. if you have a rolls royce the leather is going to be higher quality then a cheaper car
Some of you are ridiculous lol. As a business owner myself the complaining about pricing infuriates me. Between the cost of products, manual labor and time - no one has the right to say whether or not it’s worth it or not. You don’t like the price? Great. Do it yourself. th-cam.com/video/lnQi1VBGUVQ/w-d-xo.html auto shine cars is one of my favorite detail channels
Detail geek is best
Theyre both good.
@@ali_a1805 Detail Duel. I like that idea
i never watch this channel really and i'm very loyal to detail geek so
As far as the $900+ dollars for a full detail, that's pretty reasonable for the Columbus area. Especially if you're in the Dublin or Upper Arlington area. They've got more money than they know what to do with. My grandma lived in Upper Arlington for 40+ years until she died a couple months ago. I live in Athens County and the full details around here are around $150. So it just depends on where you live really
Am I the only one who was confused because at 1st glance I thought the seats were leather?
Same!
No way would leather ever stain as bad as that. Definitely cloth from the outset.
Me: sees this car
My OCD: let’s get cleaning 🧼
Hey Stauffer Garage, I love your videos, but I would like to know if you will do another video of a budget based detail?
He actually did a while back
Look for the detail products under $50 bucks
I know he did, I just want to see an updated version or a version with new products and also using cheap tools but gets the job done
Can you also do a segment to see what is a good pressure washer attachment for a regular garden hose?
Corona sucks but let's fight it off together
Just out of curiosity: how long does your drill last on a detail like this?
Is one charge enough or do you go through multiple batteries during the detail?
It’s a 3 hour drive for me but I’d definitely like to bring my car this summer. It’s not bad just I know you’ll get it perfect.
$975 for a detail? There’s no way anyone would pay that where I live. People around here bitch about a $15 wash at the automatic car wash
Kevin Eaton ik what a ripoff
That 900 bucks checks happened when you missed that 15 bucks cleaning one too many time.
Regular cleaning is so much cheaper than one major detailing job
Kevin Eaton that’s exactly what I thought when I saw the estimate and I’m in Pittsburgh, PA not that far from him.
Gotta say, stumbled upon detailing, and think it is my new most satisfying videos type now. Thanks, man, great job.
James: the backseat is where the magic happened
Me: 🤨😏
Best detail video I've seen today (the 4th one so far) you have the most tools and expensive setup. By far the most professional and by far the most EXPENSIVE service lol. Almost 1000?? I might stay detailing
Another great video Jimmy! Love the new black light feature you’ve got going on
Its going to be the new standard of clean I think for these disasters!
Natty Louise really! Way Better than detail geek
Whenever I purchase a used car or I'm detailing a car, I always hit it with Lysol where safe to do so. With all the action cars get you never know what's in there. Sad to see your not wearing protective gear but otherwise another great everyday driver cleansing.
So satisfying love the black light idea so cool and different!
Thanks!
Is there a list for the tools u use to clean somewhere??

Whenever I see that Columbus location tag all I can think about is Zombieland 😂
You’re the only person I watch that takes out the seats!! Awesome
When you soak the rear bench seat on the table it looks like the water goes right through the seat. Does it? Always wondered about wetting the seats too much.
Best me yet! That transformation was incredible!! 👍
I was hoping you were more towards Cleveland. I make a trip a couple times out there to go to cedar point and would love to have my car detailed by you 😭
You can always make a side trip to Columbus and have your car detailed by James.
Cleveland is only 2 hours away
I have OCD, and finding your channel made my HEART HAPPY!!!🤢😬🧹🚿😇😇😇
$975 for a detail? thats insane
stoms right!!! Maybe for one of his other details where the car is just completely horrible but this visually wasn’t too bad I couldn’t
This would havr been a $500 max for me
Love watching your videos, it takes my mind off the conrona virus mess on the t.v..... have a great weekend
I do auction cars and i do these everyday, you could really tell how a person is just by looking at their car smh lol
The process from dirty to clean was so satisfying. You took his car to the cleanest dimension
2000 dollar 🚘 and a 900 dollar detail 🤦♂️😝
Even at $100/hr that didn't seem like a 9 hour job. Guess I know what business I gotta get into.
@@RagnarokCo yeah I imagine it's for a rolls Royce or something of that caliber otherwise I'll be doing the same as you 😝
@@tomsmith9048 why would the type of car matter?
Thanks for always posting great content and if I was closer, I’d love to support 💗 for now, I’ll keep showing love on your videos.
appreciate that!! thank you
I can only imagine what sort of “bio” was in those backseats lol
I live in Pittsburgh but I finally got a carpet cleaner for my seats and I'm so excited by the results!
Nice video Bro! Keep up the good work!👍🏼
Thank you so much!
This video came up on my feed randomly. No regrets. So satisfying to watch 🥰
