Another reason to get actual mechanic and not stealership or other craphole. I do all the work myself, but always used to try to give information. The front desk worker would always write "blows cold air" or something mostly useless like that. Then, undurprisingly, have to comeback not long after as problem not solved, they write the same bullcrap, try to charge me again, et cetera. I used to like my local Valvoline, workers were competent and did improper/improvised fix to my AC without me leaving vehicle and didn't charge me. Then after recently being charged $200+ for them to do literally nothing, not listening to me, not letting me watch, and takinf a while I was done with them. I try my best to do everything myself. Last things I paid for was a flexplate replacement as just foo much for me and a tire change on junky vehicles because didn't want ro potentially deal with cheetah again doing it myself.
Sort of. It got rod knock, motor eventually seized, and killed the starter. When he dropped it off, he didn't mention any noises until after I replaced the starter
Bet it’s that crappy oil pick up. It’s a EJ these are notorious for that crap. Mine failed at 81k. Get that killer b pick up and save thousands. Also I doubt it’s heavily modified. That’s just some simple engine dress up parts.
@@krmotorsportskilleen please do, I’m interested to see what the issue is. Mine had rod knock a buddy of mine said “it’s just a lifter” seized on the way home 😒

That car looks heavily modified. No wonder the owner has problems with it.
It may look it, but it's definitely not heavily modified.
@@krmotorsportskilleen he mentioned that a tune was done and something else which they had to undo.
So he threw a rod and thought a starter would fix it?
