Edie more than likely killed herself because on her door there’s a date for the year she died and she was the only one left in the house. Edith died childbirth.
I sometimes hate how vague it is regarding the cause of death, but that means you can also imagine several ways. For instance, the theory is that Molly died of food poisoning from eating the berries, but you could also imagine a scenario where she pretended to be a cat, fell from the tree she promised not to climb, "heard nothing but wind in her ears" and then things moving in the grass as an owl, "choked on the rabbits" as she struggled for air, tasted blood in her mouth as a shark, and heard people screaming as a monster, before she finally "went to sleep."

I know they give you the option to skip it, but it's SUCH a big part of the narrative, that it changes so much of the feel of the ending. I don't know why they thought Lewis's room didn't have a story in it, when they just left it, but I was SCREAMING inside when they walked passed his memorial.

The stupidest cute part of this was Amelia wanting to be a bee and Bryan immediately learning that facts were not gonna win the "What animal does this human want to turn into" game.
You know, I kind of feel like the devs should have made it impossible to progress from a room without having seen the story for it yet. I get that it’s a mystery game and you’re supposed to discover it, but I feel like it could lose some of its emotional impact depending on who you miss your first play through. I missed Odin my first time, which didn’t affect my feelings a whole lot, but I nearly missed Calvin, which is one that hit me really hard, and that would have sucked. Edit: btw, I know they went back and played Lewis’ story. This isn’t meant to be a critique of Bryan and Amelia’s playthrough, I really loved it. Gus' story though... The journal says he died in 1982, but it says Sam died in 1981, before Gus. I'm wondering how much of that poem was made up--because obviously their dad couldn't have had a wedding on the same day Gus died. And why did Dawn make it up?
I almost cried watching Calvin(the baby???) and Lewis' story... his kinda got to me a bit. Cause I daydream and 'lose myself' quite a bit though not to that extent. And when I had a job, I would do it too, if I was in the middle of something super monotonous and 'repeating'(?). Sometimes my coworkers would catch me and I maybe had some expression on my face and they'd be like 'oh what's wrong' or something like that, and I never would tell them 'oh yeah I'm just watching this whole (fanfic)story in my head and its sad, or this part made me angry' cause it was embarrassing but. I played this for the first time just before New Years and I loved it. Im happy to see more people experiencing it.
Watching this while knitting for a few hours was so relaxing
I love the Finch family, it's full of people who are creative, unique, different and full of mystery! But that can also be called madness! It's really sad!
19:55 Amelia's laugh is the best so far! 😂
It’s honestly funny seeing him ram into everything expecting for a cut scene to happen when you know, we have hands and this game bases a lot of physics off of real life like the movement and stuff
Please play "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter" and "The Magic Circle". Both are very interesting games with unique gameplay mechanics.
Amanda A Is Ethan Carter similar to this one?
I played this I think over a year or 2 ago. And it's so good. This game has a very nice story.
Hey guys ! I have never played to this game before, but i watched the full game play of a french TH-camr ("Sora" ) one or two years ago
Bye and Hugs from France !
(If i made some mistakes with the ortograph, please let me know😊)
Saaaaalut ami français xD j'ai vue le let's play de superbrioche666 moi :3 Et tu t' en sort bien en anglais t'inquiète :3
@@chantalramboz8629 merci c'est cool 😂
"Well, we didn't miss any."
JESUS CHRIST, DUDE.
You two should really play Cuphead, it's two player and I would LOVE to see Bryan and Amelia rage off of it.
The music in this game is incredible
is it just me or did they miss the whole scene of the guy who ended up day dreaming so hard he killed himself?
We play it at the end of the stream because, yes, apparently we skipped that segment somehow
Never played it😭 It's always great to see the two of you doing well❤
Calvin’s story got me sad (read: depressed af) too
Man, i feel so bad, I just figured about your channel, and I just recently just knew about Detroit Become Human, wish I knew you earlier.
I'm so excited for this play through! I LOVED this game!
I honestly HATED that they just walked on passed Lewis's story on the first run. I know they give you the option to skip it, but it's SUCH a big part of the narrative, that it changes so much of the feel of the ending.
I don't know why they thought Lewis's room didn't have a story in it, when they just left it, but I was SCREAMING inside when they walked passed his memorial.
We play it at the end of the stream, it was an accident and our first time playing this game.
@@DechartGames I know you eventually played it, but it's just that the impression of the ending is affected by what you saw before it, including the final death before you left the house.
I'm glad you eventually saw it, I just wish you checked his room more, as it's pretty obvious that every room has a story to check.
2:32:41 Alexander Bruce was a playtester too? WOW I didn't notice that when I played, is that the same guy who developed Antichamber? Which is a game I totally reomment, btw. Awesome LP guys, it was nice finding your channel on christma's eve!
That game is incredible, I loved it. Massive like!
Guys raid Jenna julien on twitch. THIS COLLAB NEEDS TO HAPPEN
This game is masterpiece, glad that you guys play it 😘
Fun fact this game is based in Washington state where i am from...in fact this is all based around an island that is about a 2hr car ride and 2 hr ferry ride away from me ^_^
Great one! You should play Gone Home as well.
@sREUDIAN fLIP Yeah no doubt Gone Home is way below but it is still worth its 2/2,5 hours of gameplay. The 90 vibes of the game make it enjoyable. One I wouldn't recommend at all is Fire Watch.
Reality N Nooooo Firewatch is so good.
@@ilovesparky13 That ending made me hate the game! 😂
Im so glad you played this!! This is such a great game and I played it a while ago when it was a playstation plus game. 😊❤
I'm watching them after Gregory's story like, "... Is this channel gonna do a hard switch from Wholesome Wednesday or whatever to Doki Doki Literature Club?" 'Cause I legit don't wanna torture these two 😭
I mean, I'll totally watch it, but I'm gonna feel awful.
Amelia reminds me of a Disney princess
I saw a lot of gamer girl on TH-cam but she is the cutest ! I can look at her for two hours straight without feeling tired of her :3
The stupidest cute part of this was Amelia wanting to be a bee and Bryan immediately learning that facts were not gonna win the "What animal does this human want to turn into" game.
Omg this is such an amazing game 😍
I'm gonna watch it for the 3rd time, now in English))
Amelia singing Gus the Theatre Cat is sooo cute!
How did you skip Lewis' story? It's the best one!! You need to play it
They did, in the end
Lewis is experiencing Maladaptive Daydreaming. It really interferes with life I get it a lot too
Aww Lewis' story is the best one!
I just played this for the first time a few weeks ago, a nice game for gamers interested in storytelling.
I just would have preferred if you weren’t able to miss important parts of the story.
this is one of my favourite short games. i love it 🥰
I can't stop laughing at the comment around 35:57 gameplay "Well they didn't know we were cat right now" exactly Bryan!! Awesome! thanks for great gaming @Dechart Games , big fan
this...This hit differently
Did they edit out Barbra’s part? A lot of it was missing
Copyrighted music from the movie Halloween had to be removed.
My grandma's old house had a secret room behind the fireplace
You should put on your survey "I've only seen it"
You guys should play death stranding with Norman Reedus and one of you should try Life of Alyx I think the name is maybe
Also, gameplay starts: 7:19 spoiler after reading more
So Molly either ate something she shouldn't have or starved, Calvin Drowned, Odin idk old age, Barbara was murdered by her boyfriend or a crazed fan, Walter hit by a train, Sam fell to his death because of a deer, Gregory was left alone in the bath, died in a hurricane, Milton went missing, Lewis took his own life, dawn died of a sickness, I think Edith died from child birth
one of my favorite games ever! 💕
I like how people in the chat are just casually spoiling the story
Gus' story though...
The journal says he died in 1982, but it says Sam died in 1981, before Gus. I'm wondering how much of that poem was made up--because obviously their dad couldn't have had a wedding on the same day Gus died. And why did Dawn make it up?
Gus didn't necessarily die straight away; it's possible he was seriously injured and then died later
This game hits hard
I get bored quite easily and my mind is very imaginative so, that's what happens. Same if I'm on long car rides, etc; and I don't have anything to 'do'.
Just like ugh. @.@ Lewis. :(
@@roseinskyrim you're imagining a story and get sad.. Or you're thinking about a fan fiction you read somewhere, that makes you sad or angry?? . Just asking by curiosity.
@@RenaissanceMotoko972 Basically watching movies/books/games/tv shows in my head, with a twist, so kinda like mental fanfic tv/movie, and I'd get super emotional about them lol and my coworkers would be like 'you ok? what's wrong?' and such sometimes.
@@roseinskyrim Omg i have that too. It might be something called Maladaptive Daydreaming. I have always been a chronic daydreamer since i was a child. I still do it now, and I literally don't know how to stop cause It's suuperr easy for me to get lost in my daydreams. When I'm walking, brushing teeth, or even doing nothing I unintentionally daydream.
@@roseinskyrim Calvin was the twin on the swing, Gregory was the baby.
I recommend Amnesia if you haven't played it
god no
@@ibuprofriends god yes
Omg I love those horror games
OMG HE IS CONNOR
you totally missed a story when you rushed into ediths room
They played it at the end.
I’d love to see these guys give the beginners guide a shot.
