Hi from CA SoCal 4th week of February build out of Flint. The rims are 15s, not available in 65. The steering wheel was also replaced. 65 was the first year for the Gran Sport option on the Skylark.

@loucostabile Oh, I do. lol, I'm a Buick guy. I was looking at the reply about the dirty floor. I said maybe you could offer to wash it for him. Some things people post, I'm like, get a clue the car is over 50 years old lol.

Just beutiful all there original in touch..reminds me more of the Malibu 65 or 66 body style..also from this 65 model you can see the SKYLARK has transformed it self from 65 to the 1972 model..When the stage 1 came around boy did they take it another level..Get that INTIERIOR cleaned to original it will be so nice. The horse shoe type shifter was not in this model but they where in the Riviera of that year. That nail head engine is so nice..could hear a valve or lifter noise as if oil doesnt as if oil is not reaching the top . but once is warmed up they will quite down..worth opening get new oil pump with a bit more modern parts..

Buick + convertible means from the dealer at the time it had to be super expensive when it came out.

I've never seen a GM console blanking out the tachometer. Perhaps, Buick didn't want their customers overrevving their old Nailheads, through visual overconfidence.
Those Nailheads were actually heavier than the newer thin-casted 400-430-455 blocks

I absolutely love the 65 Gran Sport but you still think he could have cleaned it up a little more. I'm all about all original but the interior looked a little dirty. Mats not laying correctly, dust and dirt in all crevices and the hood chrome strip going down the center of the hood missing. If you look close in the video you can see the holes where the pins holding the chrome strip would go. And painting a bad red line on the actual rim was in my opinion very cheap. Great car, poor presentation
