      Are you in the FB group Brother Dream Machine & Baby Lock Destiny? I think I posted a picture or two of the New Year and February flags. I wish I knew how to post a picture in a reply here, but as yet I have no idea if I can.

    Hi Cindi, I like the tutorial, can you show us how it looks in your garden because we don't have that here in Australia.

    • @Cindicrafter
      @Cindicrafter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have a garden mine are in my front bed which has shrubs pretty much. We have no grass in our yard the front is all concrete with what we call flower beds, but have shrubs and trees and our backyard is the fake grass. Where I live is a desert area we have severe droughts so we chose to not have anything that requires much water. We have dogs so the "fake" grass is for them. We still have sprinkler system so once or twice weekly we can wash the grass.

      @@Cindicrafter good Idea with the grass , we had regions of drought here and others had floods the weather is crazy at moment here in Australia [ and Fire] all the best keep on posting. Regards IRMA

    I like the way the wave stitch looks on the edges. I wonder if I turned the edges under and did a satin stitch with varigated thread it might give it a similar look.

    • @Cindicrafter
      @Cindicrafter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it would. I would use a variegated that is two color then it would be very similar.

    • @Cindicrafter
      @Cindicrafter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another idea would be a large scallop satin stitch even if the fabric stays if you use the correct color it will show.

    Cindi I want to make the square storage baskets out of the squares and embroider sewing motifs in the floor of the basket for my sewing catchall.

    I love the colors of the sports nylon at Joann's but this sports nylon fabric is not available to order online and not available in any of the stores within 100 miles of where I live. This is distressing. Do you know of any other fabric store to buy this nylon???? I am looking on Amazon as well as ebay. I really want to try this fabric as I have used waterproof canvas and it holds up well but is difficult to work with and limited in color.

    • @Cindicrafter

      I buy mine from Allstitch. I usually buy 15", but I did buy the 20" wide roll for the new Luminaire hoop.

    Do you use the nylon spandex or no spandex?

    • @Cindicrafter
      @Cindicrafter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The material I have is a poly which in the Joann store is with rip stop nylon. I have used rip stop nylon at times too.

    How do you do the wave stitch, I have the Husqvarna 936.?

    • @Cindicrafter
      @Cindicrafter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Baby Lock has sergers that do the wave stitch. As far as I know they are the only brand with this option. With any other serger I would use a rolled hem stitch and probably use variegated thread.

    • @Cindicrafter
      @Cindicrafter  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lou DeMott it is from Joann Fabric. I believe they call it sports nylon. It isn’t a thin as rip stop.
