Hi there, I just discovered your fabulous channel yesterday. I do believe I've watched at least 32 of your older videos. I'm so happy I discovered your channel. Long story short. I am now a subscriber to your fantastic channel. Tfs your creativity with us. 😊
Love your new colorful logo sign! It looks great. I enjoyed watching your process of how you make belly bands. Yes, the US is also having wet weather. We have 25 states that have major flooding. Crazy! In Arizona the glue dries quickly especially glue sticks. You have to be fast once you get your glue down. 😊 TFS❤
Thanks so much! I love that you tell us what you do and Why you do it that way! Learned a lot and now I feel more secure about using belly bands in my journals.
Hi Ceri. So happy to see you doing some junk journal projects. All your videos are awesome but JJ's are my thing. TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞 (the new logo is looking fantastic. 😊)
Really enjoyed all the tips on making belly bands. You share with us all the details that make a good idea a great one. I love ❤️ the new logo. Have to pause video to enjoy the fantastic colors and design.
I like belly bands! They are one thing on the page, quick and easy. I think it's interesting that when i heard "belly band," i assumed it went horizontally. If you band a belly, it's like a belt in my mind so definitely horizontal. And then i saw folks putting them vertical! 😳 That shows how much i have to learn about junk journals! 😊 Book pages are the perfect beginning for my belly bands. I have a "gazillion" book pages! Great video. TFS ❤❤❤
Hello Ceri, love the idea with the rice paper I made afew. The way you made the bellybands are a lot easy too, thank you for always sharing. Your aways appreciated with your weath of knowledge.
Ditto to everything said, great video.. ps found a Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden in a charity shop, £1.99 ! beautiful book...too lovely to cut in to...will have to search for a second one!😊
Love how you stamp a frame around book page images. Doing ephemera the same is also a way to create cohesion through a journal & it expresses your style too. It’s ok if there’s more than one that’s similar 😊
Hello Ceri, I am one of your new subscribers and I'm also very new to paper crafting, journaling and junk journals. You get the picture. I did not know what a belly band was so this tutorial was so informative. I got a wealth of information and I thank you sincerely. So much appreciated. You are a ton of fun to watch and I can't wait to see you in another video. I think all
Do ever just decorate a beautiful cake just for you? I got one of those cake tools at The Dollar Tree. The tool came in a set of three. The Dollar Tree has a small section now for cake decorating. The belly bands came out great.
Occasionally I’ll decorate a cake for a special birthday or event but it’s rare nowadays as there’s always so many other things that have to be done first.
Hi Ceri! I love belly bands! And doing them vintage style oh yes! You have created beauty! You are so smart to add glue to washi with it upside down! Genius, lol why have I never thought of that?! I’m always full of glue. 😊. Thank you so much for always being so inspiring! Have a blessed weekend, hugs to you 🙏💙
Love these Ceri. I agree with Stefani006 below. Your patience and great attention to defining and reminders are for processes are so helpful. I don't feel rushed at all when watching you. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I did the 23 and Me and discovered I am part Welsh. 😊
Ceri you give so much inspiration in one video❤ I was stuck after doing for the first time a coffee dye journal because didn’t know what to do next, you un-stuck me with your ideas, thank you
Absolutely lovely ! I am thrilled that you are using your Washi tape too! You created such a pretty and soft look to your Belly Bands. I appreciate this video very much. ❤ 🤔 Now I need to make 10 belly bands. 😊
Oh Ceri I love your style and I so enjoy your videos. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us! Definitely going to give these bellybands a go Hugs,GinaB💕😍💖🥰
Hi Ceri from across the pond 😂, hope your doing well. I just love your videos. Your belly bands are beautiful. I always pick up great ideas from you. You truly are gifted in your craft. 🌻
Hi Ceri - love the new logo. I appreciate the belly band placement tip. I would have lined it even; thanks to you, I will leave a smidge. Looking forward to making my belly bands.
I had no idea what belly bands were lol but glad I clicked on this video. As soon as I saw them I thought... bookmark. Those would make beautiful bookmarks, as you said at the end of the video. I recently subbed and am in the process of harvesting my saved card collection still, as that was the very first video I saw of yours. There's just something so satisfying about chopping with my guillotine, muahaha. So that's just great, Ceri, cause now I'm going to be making bookmarks too. With all the itty bitty pieces needed for that. Thanks alot. (Sarcasm) Lol. However, this is where I enlist the help of my 2 granddaughters. I'm afraid to watch another video, hahaha.
Ceri, thanks so much for this video. You gave me a great idea I immediately when to my craft room and found my clear label stamps, used them on my “flora encyclopedia..awesome results.
Ceri, love the new insignia!!! It really pops! I liked it ss you made it, but today when you put it out at the beginning, having been away from the old, it really caught my eye! Lovely belly bands!
I just thought I would put this out there in case anyone doesn't have ink and the brush thing. You can achieve, essentially, the same effect by running the edge of your paper, at an angle, over the edge of of a marker, sharpie, etc.. Or run the pen, along the edge of the paper, on the side of the nib. Idk if that is clear or not. Maybe one day I'll make a video or TikTok showing how to do so, myself... but if you were to try it and figure out what I am actually trying to say, feel free to show it yourself, if you'd like.
Thankyou for the inspiration. I'm very new to Junk journals and am finding all the info and videos overwhelming... there are so many of them. I have a book that has been removed of half its pages and those remaining have been glued together. I am now stuck, what do i decorate it with? will the pages look good together? what if i make a mistake? After watching this video i will start making these bands with the leftover pages and decorate with some old magazines i have. I can then maybe make a journal with loads of belly bands and other embellishments, tags, journal cards etc. (None of which are made yet. ) Thanks again for sharing, you now have a new subscriber. Have a fab day, xx
If I have any advice at all it will be to not worry about messing it up, there are no rules and you’re just starting out. If you mess something up you will learn valuable lessons from that experience. Good luck.
Thanks for the connection for the butterflies! They are perfect for so many things! New logo is great! Could you talk about junk journals and the thickness of the paper used for pages? I'm struggling with copy paper being too thin but cardstock being too thick and warping so what do I use?
Here in the UK there’s a paper thats a bit heavier than copier paper and it’s called presentation paper, it’s what I use for printing digitalis and also for coffee dying. I normally use it for my signatures. If you watch about the first five minutes of this video I show the paper in its packaging. th-cam.com/video/OSe6XB8dCNA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mcY-atUvGhtl0Xgp
Genius idea using illustrations in books with label stamps. Love the look. Look away if you are squeamish, lol. What is the black but faded looking ink you use for your numbers? It's kind of dark grey looking?
@@CeriGriffiths ahh, that makes sense. I played around and found I could stamp it once on scrap then stamp on the paper and I then got the faded look. Have a lovely crafty day!

I like the size of your belly bands. Sometimes I see them made so wide the you don’t see the journal card behind. These are perfect.
Hello , Ceri love to watch your videos

Yes, Arizona is dry, except during monsoon season. We’re snowbirds and are in AZ until April. 😎 Love everything you do, Ceri!!
Awesome! Thank you!

Thank you Ceri, I made my first belly band today. Ive just started junk journaling and am loving the process
Wonderful!
I love these and it's so much fun to make a bunch of them. But mine never seem to go with anything when it comes down to it.
Maybe part decorate them and only add the focal point when you’ve decided which journal they are going in.
Thank you Ceri, love these

I totally understand as that is how I colour the edges of my Artist Trading Cards, I run a coloured Posca pen against the edges.

Got it! Heavier copy paper! @@CeriGriffiths
Curious as to why you covered up the “aged” edge of the book page with the washi and not the other edge.
To be honest I was just decorating quickly and didn’t notice I’d done it.
Genius idea using illustrations in books with label stamps. Love the look. Look away if you are squeamish, lol. What is the black but faded looking ink you use for your numbers? It's kind of dark grey looking?
Actually it’s Archival black ink by Ranger, sometimes it looks paler depending on the absorption rate of the paper I’m stamping upon.
