We really like this place in Itaewon, and it's run by really cool people. Check it out for some delicious vegan desserts. YUM!

If you watch the video very carefully, you will see a sign in English that indicates an item is Gluten free. I would check their facebook though as their menu probably changes seasonally and with customer demand. Incidentally, unless you have an actual gluten intolerance such as with Celiac Disease it is generally better NOT to avoid it specifically. I'm NOT talking about this bakery, but for products in general, avoiding gluten often leads to higher calorie content or the inclusion of another troublesome component to replace it.

I go to Plant regularly now...great stuff. But I didn’t know it was around back then. I first heard about Plant in the summer of 2015.

Hello there Simon and Martina! After hearing Martina mention "vegan and gluten free", it made me wonder (as a person with coeliac disease) how common are gluten free foods in Korea? Are there gluten free alternatives to things like flour and bread like there are over here in the UK? :O

i loved the Alien's Day Out blog so much i actually went back and started reading it from the beginning ages ago - reading a few posts at a time. i'm vegetarian and into many things Korean and found it interesting and insightful in many ways.

I'm so happy that you guys reviewed Plant! I've been following Alien's Day Out for about 3 years now and have always wanted to try Mipa's stuff! I was visiting Seoul for a couple weeks last year and during that time I think she had announced the shop's opening, I was so sad that I missed it by a couple weeks! Seeing everything she posts on facebook and instagram is like torture sometimes T^T Can't wait to try it someday. Thank you for this video! :)

I love that you guys cover vegan food - enough of my family and friends are on alternate diets out of necessity that hearing that these options are out there are very cheering.

mashed up tofu can simulate vegan eggs very well!
I use ripe mashed bananas or applesauce when baking--or ground flax seed with water works great in stuff like homemade breads c:

Stephanie Blake If you cook the flax seeds and use the remaining slimey goop, you can whisk that and it'll have the same consistency as fluffy egg-white.
Then there's products like the vegg which is basically just vegan egg yolk, haven't tried it yet though.

Have you used ener-g brand? They're the ones who make the vegan gluten free breads but anyway, they have a powdered egg replacer that's awesome too(:

Simon I found a recipe for you to use the HIdden Valley Ranch packets
1/2 cup softened butter
1 packet(1 ounce) HIdden Valley Original Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning MIx
2 loaves of french bread of Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise
Directions:
spread the butter and then sprinkle the dressing mix evenly on the bread halves. place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, until golden and the butter begins to seep and bubble. serve hot

I've met a lot of people who think I'd eat any kind of dessert even though I'm vegan.
Sure, I can technically eat it, but I don't really want to. I mean I could technically eat arsenic as well, but that doesn't mean that I want to.

Whenever someone says that vegan food is disgusting, I will send them this video(but then they'll all complain that this is in Korea)
Should be even more prove, since Korea and Japan hardly even understand the concept of vegetarianism, let alone veganism.
There's so-called "temple food" in South Korea, which is vegan. And many traditional Korean foods are vegan anyway, though not intentionally.
