For the people who only played Nier Automata short history: Nier series is a spin-off from Drakengard series, it was created from ending E. Such an original and unique video game series.

Also Drakengard 3 is the prequel for Drakengard. In my personal opinion I think A2 from Nier Automata was designed after Zero from D3. A lot of similarity’s between this two specially on the combat.

I got into Nier when I won tickets to the orchestral concert in January this year. I had never played it or listened to the music and I only tried to win the tickets for my best friend who was moving away to go to school. The concert was so beautiful and moving that I immediately downloaded the game and played through it's entirety. All endings and now I'm finally working on the 26th ending to the game. It's insane how that one concert changed my life and now I've pre-ordered the white edition that comes out days before my birthday. Nier is a masterpiece and I will never forget the experience.
It truly was a masterpiece of a game, and above all else poor 9s for all that he had to go through

I remember seeing gameplay randomly on Facebook of Automata and thought that looks cool. My wife bought it me for my birthday and at that point I had no idea it would become one of my top 5 favourites of all time. Can't wait to play Replicant.
it's kinda sad that this game is gonna get exposed for the masterpiece it is soon, having it be a cult classic made it an almost personal experience; that being said I'm really happy to finally find people to talk to about this game for once.
I'm excited because this games success entails that the NieR series still has a future and won't just be the holy grail of gaming passing into the shadows and dirt of the industry and time. This games success means the success of the series and its continuation
That's kinda selfish imo, because this release is important, if it does well (and i'm sure it'll do thanks to Automata), it could bring a new future for the franchise, introduce it to more people and in the end, turn this into one of the best jrpg franchises out there.

For those who don't know: this is not a sequel to NieR: Automata. This is the original NieR game that came out in 2010 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Instead in this version you are a brother trying to protect his little sister. This was only exclusively to Japan for the PS3. The one that came out in the west was called NieR: Gestalt. The reason why Sqaure Enix didn't release it in the west because they thought it wouldn't sell. But because of the years from fans begging for Replicant to be released worldwide and the success from NeiR: Automata Sqaure Enix finally gave the OK.
This kind of idiotic localization should be punished like war crimes.
I played patched version of Japanese Replicant with fixed English subs on my hacked PS3, with original voices of course.

@@Chrysalis__ There is no "what if" because this is literally the HD remaster of the Japanese version of the original NieR game. Automata happens in the year 11945 while Replicant's prologue starts at 2053 and the actual game at 3465.
