I picked this RG up and I have to say just "wow" it really did impress how solid the build was. *sorry for the poor choice of words* Completely agree with the downsides too but for a transforming kit its very solid. I wish the RG Zeta was as solid as this kit. Very cool review and keep up the awesome vids Zack!!
One minor difference I've noticed between Unicorn and Banshee were their collar armor. The Banshee's spikey collar gets in the way of the head turning when in destroy mode.
The collar was supposed to represent a lion's mane, but it did originally have the same collar as the Unicorn before it was damaged and replaced.

This actually is on my get-list. Though I don't like the sheen this kit gives off, especially if the stickers are applied. I'd flatcoat the navy blue colors first before building this kit.
The sheen or shiny effect the plastic gives is prominent with dark colored kits from what I understand. It’s only really a problem with this kits cause it’s one of the few kits where a majority of the colors are dark (I know this was posted 4 years ago but in case you wanted this bit of info)
OK can I say I'm so happy that he got a new rotating stand! This one works so much better! The Owen Wilson WOW's threw me off, at first I thought it was Zach, then I thought something was open on my computer, then I LOL'd when I realized it was the video :D
I wish bandai would give us waterslides more often, stickers are easy but dont look good.

Loving the sound effects. And the kit is very nice, regardless of the sticker situation. Probably will hold out for the eventual P-Bandai first form (ova) and maybe even the Phenex.

With the Banshee being so dark in color, would it be wasted effort on my part to panel line all the armor like I already have on the RG Full Armor Unicorn? It was kind of pointless for Bandai to use "injection gold" pieces for the vent details in the lower portion of the side skirts.
Yes, you won’t see it unless you want to panel line in gold, which may be cool
Bandai water-slide decals would be appreciated. I’m sure they’ll release them for this kit since the original RG Unicorn had them release.

My favorite is still the PG. As great as the RG is, the shoulders are just too bulky and it really screws up the proportions for me. It's pretty close, though, what with the general sturdiness and poseability.

I’m currently building the regular unicorn. It’s my first RG and I’m enjoying the process. I plan to pick up the banshee next
Awesome video. I am new to the hobby. This was my first kit. I feel like the skirt on mine keeps popping off. Is that how it really is? I heard great reviews on the regular RG Unicorn. Is the RG Unicorn more stable and less flimsy? Keep up the great work!

looking forward to that comparison video, been wanting to pick up a unicorn and while the RG looks like it might be the best I really like to keep my UC gundams in 1/100 scale, but after sloging through the 2.0 zeta i'm pretty iffy about older MGs
I would say all the Wows was getting on my nerves, but the comments makes it worth the watch.

According to the wiki that giant shield has a big beam cannon in it too. Maybe a little added selling point.

This was the first RG I ever had break on me. Build the Unicorn and the Banne Dessinee no issue, build this bad boy and the little peg that holds the elbow into the bicep broke off. I also broke the legs on my pilot figure. I guess I just went bull in the china shop on this guy.

I really hope they do something, either an add on or separate kit for the regular banshee. I love the Norn but I kinda like having the regular more, solely because the Norn looks exactly like the Unicorn save for a few details and of course the colors. With the regular Banshee it has fist/claw and a sweet looking, I don't know railgun? Is that what that thing is? Anyway it really makes the Banshee feel like a separate Gundam from the Unicorn. Plus it's piloted by Merida.

Pull up on the mid torso a bit you get a tiny bit of a crunch. Tiny movement but a pretty big difference.

I have disassembled and re-assembled my RG unicorn so much (my intricacy-loving brain compels me to) I could probably blind build this kit at this point lol. Visiting Florida soon, and seeing as they have a brick-and-mortar store there I may pick this up and test my theory.

The orange inner frame on this kit really makes me want some marmalade...
I'm planning doing an RG Banshee born build soon, and I have a few questions about painting it.
1) Are there any specific spots I really need to worry about not over-painting so I don't make it too thick?
2) How difficult is it to paint the non pyscho frame parts of the inner frame, particularly the part that are molded with parts of the psycho frame already attached? Am I able to take those parts apart at all, or will it be all masking?
3) Is this kit overly difficult to disassemble? Meaning, would I be very likely to break something or not get something apart if I planned on the building the kit normal and then painting it?
Im going to buy either the rg unicorn or banshee...which one would you prefer?
What kind of turn table did you use here? It’s very stable!

Fortunately the phyco frame is fully coverd unlike the original unicorn which in unicorn mode looks like it is always going to transform
