I just bought one of these Suzuki Quadrunner 250 4x4's. I love it! There was also a 300cc model called the KING-QUAD back in the day when a 250/300 was good enough for the woods, remember the Honda BIG RED 250 atc? These Suzuki's are simple, cheap, reliable quads with 4x4 and IRS, I just wish they still made them. But, everything is bigger, "better" and more $expensive$ nowdays. Perfect for rockcrawling and deep mudding, mine came with a plow all for $1500 and it'll run forever. Great videos, I'm subscribed!
Love it! These are a work horse. Great machine. Have you watched our other videos on this machine? Check out: th-cam.com/video/kkLLi1h6kL4/w-d-xo.html . Thanks for watching and the comment!

This quad is just one rear drivetrain better than a Honda. It's my winter snowplow, no maintenance required. Will not start outside in the cold any more, probably the replacement Chinese carb. Thanks for the video.
I just came across one of these quads yesterday, I was buying a early 90s Polaris 250 4x4 parts quad and the guy had one of these Suzuki’s, it’s been sitting for the last few years under cover, looks like a carb cleaning and it should run, it also comes with almost a complete parts quad minus a frame, he wants $600, I think I’m going to buy it 👍 thanks for posting!
Thanks for posting! looks like a good old quad 👍 I like how simple these older machines are, my Honda TRX 300 is just basic, I do wish it had disc brakes rather then the drums, I need to take apart the front brakes and check them out, the are really firm, the lever barely pull in. Take care 🙂
I have a 1997 Suzuki Quad runner LT-F250. Is there somewhere I can get a carburetor from, I ordered one off line and it said it was suppose to fit but the Gas cable did not work?
Good info. I have a 1990 quad. When I turn the key to the on position the green neutral light should turn on, this one worked when I put it the garage, now it doesn't. I checked that it in fact in neutral, which it is. Can you help me with this problem.
I greatly appreciate the videos, well done and very informative. Have you done any videos or do you have any suggestions on fixing the range selector? Mine will not go into high range, both low and super low are super low, and then high range is regular low. The mechanism appears to be intact and nothing is damaged. Just older with 2400 miles in decent shape. It runs like a top and I would love to be able to use the high range.
Here is an off-brand from amazon: amzn.to/3IiAEru . Otherwise I'd suggest ebay for a better quality set. I can get you a direct link for ebay if you don't like the cheap amazon ones. Thanks for watching. Have you watched: th-cam.com/video/LvmzVZzqqqw/w-d-xo.html ?
Ive watched a lot of your videos and I love them. Maybe you can help me with a suggestion on a part PLEASE! I need a stator for a 1987 Quadrunner 250 4x4 and it is extremely difficult to find. I have ordered 4 now from 4 different vendors and and every single one has been the wrong part. Do you know where I can find a stator for the one I described above? Here is the problem: The last one I got had the correct three wire connectors(one wire connector is round) but, the stator was the wrong size. I measured the width of the stator with a fractional tool(I think they are also known as a calibration tool) and the width is 102.79 I then measured the width between 2 bolt holes(where the bolts secure to the housing) and that measurement is 46.78. Can you please tell me if you have this exact stator or where I can find one? I am of course wary of ordering yet another wrong stator since the last one had the correct 3 wire connectors but was the wrong size stator and each vendor SWORE it was the correct one! Please help! Thank you!
Hi i have a 1989 quadrunner 250 4×4 i was told i need a new carburetor..but i can't find one for 1989. Does the one for 1990 fit the 1989? I would appreciate your input.
Barely anything mechanically, having owned both. The newer model 250s had a different carb and different body panels. I prefer the newer model, the mudflaps and fenders stop a lot more mud than the old ones. Good machines. They're tough, long lived, lightweight for having 4wd, and with those oddly wide tires it has awesome floatation.
Can you show me how your going to fix the muffler problem ? I have a 1989 LT 250 4WD so it's basically the same one your showing us. Thanks and good video.

Having just stripped and assembled one of these, it's a pain. Gotta remove the motor top end before removing the fuel tank. I removed the engine completely (left the top end on) before taking out the tank though. This engine is also a prick to remove/install. I fixed up a kawasaki bayou (early 90's model like the suzuki i got), and that was far easier. This quadrunner engine is big, heavy, and a really tight bloody fit. That said probably be a lot easier doing it with the top end removed :P But in fairness, I did the kawasaski with the top end on too.
You got tired of paying the dead battery game with my 2000 so I put a tractor battery and a cart on the back and a milk carton and it goes about 3 years for I have to change it and they're only 20 bucks
We can agree to disagree. Thanks for watching and the comment. While not necessary, I like to spend the extra $2.95 to insure we aren't going to have any issues before the next service. If $3 is going to break the bank, you probably don't need to replace it!

Mine runs great until it gets hot then it is hard to get cranked up, will run the battery down running the starter
My 96 once it gets warmed up it wants to quit running, like it running out of gas.
