sure nuff did help me. in many ways. taking out that rubber manifold... OH MY... i see why you did show that...i wound up telling it a thing or 2... let it loose at the block n slid it up. pushed that dagum rubber tube n shoved it down n twisted it sideways... naturally the hard way. n pulled it out how it come... gigl... i done rebuilt many carbs n never like this... come to find the floats in the bowl are... Um... how to say. resonated SOLID... aint no floatin to it. there seized up solid by the resin. yet the float needle is the only part moving freely... yes. this quad has been setting years. godda go watch ur part 2. thank you for all you've taking your time to do, and continue too
I’m about to rebuild a 98 LT-F 250 2wd carb and it was nice just watching you do it first. And I love the pain of taking the carb to airbox rubber tube out.
Great job bro. If that carb is like the 250, that choke bolt is plastic. If so it’s worth mentioning that everyone should be very careful on reassemble to not cross thread.
Thank you sir, i was trying to figure out how to idle mine up, the little screw thingy on the right side that is attached to the carb is the key.... thanks again. T
Good job. These CV carbs have an emulsion tube, that’s what the main jet screws into, the slide guide needs to be remove so it can be cleaned. The top baffle needs to be tacked apart and cleaned
More than likely..try draining the old gas out..put new gas in and put some fresh gas down the carb..if you can get it to start it might clear up..if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask brother!
Yeah I took it off and rebuilt it and put it back on had a few issues to get back off adjusted it put it back on impossible to adjust from the bottom without that bent screwdriver that's been $18 for and then I found out it was easier to pay $36 and buy a brand new carburetor on Amazon
@@GoKartsorGoneFishin Will do guns nothing is my thing not working on vehicles. We think the carburetor is OK with just replacing the battery in sparkplug 1st
hey man be careful with the oil on the diaphram. Have you ever removed the bowl gasket and got oil or wd 40 on it and it will swell and be to big to fit. i would not put any oil on the diaphram's edge, if you do, do not let it sit and swell, immediately put it back in and tighten screws on the cover. once again it will swell
Is there anything that can be safely applied to the diaphram which will help keep it flexible, prevent dry-rot and extend its' life? Like you said... probably not anything oil based. Maybe pure silicone grease or something like that? Thanks
The guy that I got it from bought the kit..man I'm sorry I cant help you..its been a long time since I filmed this video and I cant remember..but I think on this model you just pull the choke out..sorry again
If you look at 907 when I pull carb out...the line that goes under the bowl with the screw end...that's the idle screw..its on a 8 inch long flex able tube..hope this helps
You don’t need to do that, the atv I own now had someone who messed with too much tacky grease for an air filter. It ended up sealing the expensive carbeurator shut and locked up the throttle at one point. I have a new OEM carb but I would’ve reused the old one if no one put any oil or anything in it.
@@arberfilms2302 Tacky grease? Air filter lube isn't tacky grease unless I'm not understanding your response. Lubing the air filter so it's not dry and will actually trap the fine particulates of dirt is what I was talking about.
@@brownfamilyracing-j4c it gets dirtier with oil in the filter element over time. Also whoever messed with my machine didn’t know wd40 should only be used a a filter oil. Anything else can get sucked into the carbeurator and cause severe damage even to the engine if it’s bad enough.
@@arberfilms2302 Wow, that is really not true, 40 years professional experience and never once have I heard something like you're saying. I totally disagree with you, of course it gets dirtier, that's what it's for!! So all the OEM companies that sell foam filter oil must be insane? Foam air filters are to have oil kneaded into them, don't listen to this guy "Arber Films2" WOW his comments are 100% false. I've owned probably 1,000 for motorcycles and I've never heard anyone say anything like "you shouldn't lube foam filters, that would mean they would catch more dirt" WOW!

My mix screw was about 2.5 turns out. Maybe a touch more than that

Great job on the video nice to have a good how to videos keep up brother
Nice Job and Great Video!!!! I know it will help more than a few people :)
Sounds like a smooth running motor. My generator won't start after sitting several months. Thinking a gummed up carb.

Go Karts or Gone Fishin , think I’ll try that first as well, cool!
nicely done, relaxed style
Thanks buddy, I just got a 1995 4x2 for $675 and the idle valve is clogged. This will help me a lot.

@@GoKartsorGoneFishin no problem thanks for responding
Where is the oil change or Part 2 at ?
Shortly after this video my computer crashed and I lost all the footage..sorry again
Where does that tiny o-ring go that is in the small zip lock bag with the spring? Does it go on the needle valve that has the spring?
Ya ...I think it is the needle outside of the bowl..should be a groove that the o-ring rest in..hope you get iy
@@GoKartsorGoneFishin ...Thanks for the reply. That's where I ended up putting it. It seems to running fine. Mine's a '96 too. Thanks again.
Nice one
That's what is in my Clymer manual
Another question is the position of the choke on the left handle ? What position is up and down on it for ?
Yes it's on the left side and you push it away from you
Pull toward you for choke and off is away from rider.
What kit did you order and from where to rebuild it ?

Ya the o ring most be bad ..you can plug it for temporary but I would definitely look for the correct o ring..
Thank You Again for your fast Response !
Anytime friend
Is there a clutch lever? Because I always switched gears without using any of the 2
No I don't think it does..semi automatic..damn good quad..thx for watching

Whats the part number for the whole carb
