Yes, they are rated at 390 hp, but many owners have had theirs dyno'd and they end up making like 425 RWHP stock. Like in the late 60's muscle cars, they are highly under rated.
yep got single t76 and pulls great in sixth but then my buddies got the hellion TT t63's i think maybe 61's but either way he walks me all day and in 6th no chance of catchin him

No doubt, it's an inexpensive mod that will save you tons in the long run, as far as easy... I'm not a mechanic but I work on my car, and it was NOT fun to install, getting the freeze plug out was a pain in the ass to say the least.
6,500 is redline. Shifting almost a 1000 rpm late can cost ya the close races and not going to give you your best 1/4 numbers that this oh so great car can make. You have a beautiful evening sir :)
Its a good gas gear, but without a head cooling mod its risky to do high speed runs in 5th or 6th. 4th goes to 140, I don't need to go faster than that.

6th speed is for cruising on the interstate not for racing. Hence why your speedometer ends at the top of 5th gear. Your going to blow ur engine in 6th...
Wow. It's the same 4.6 buddy. Granted one is a supercharged 4 valve, and the GT is either a 2 or 3 valve depending on the year. You want to talk about less displacement? My BARELY modified Contour SVT (2.5L NA) will hit 149, and stock ones will go 143. Don't knock the Terminators. They are awesome machines.
@jujutube123 what kind of drugs are you on? the m5 is limited to 155 and with it removed 193 you would need another 400plus hp to get that 4300lbs car to 220mph
FastGT2003, the redline is absolutely not peak power lol. You've got a lot to learn, in fact, it's the peak torque that matters, the car will pull it's hardest at peak torque, not HP, and peak torque usually comes far lower than the redline. Ya shift later than that to keep the engine in it's power band at all times, but with a car like this, with such a linear power band, it really doesn't make much difference. Regardless, you dunno what you're talking about. Typical youtube know it all.

What's the point of redlining an engine when you're making your way through traffic, getting ready for a run like that? Do you purposely beat the piss out of everything you own, every opportunity you get, for the simple fact that it "can" do it? I rarely beat my 04 Termy, unless I'm having fun, and because of that my engine is cherry and will last a good long time. And I won't worry when racing.

It can happen in fifth too, its also overdriven, and since these engines lack a driver side head coolant path it's extremely risky to go past 4th WOT.

acully the cobra and gt both have 281ci engine just the cobra has the the 32 vavle DOHC while the gt has the SOHC
That's why you get nitrous for the 6th speed.
