    Great video as always. I was considering a Bobil system but think we will go down the Truma diesel route as space is an issue in our MWB. Looking forward to the shower video update

    Commissioned my Bobil couple of weeks ago and very happy with it although mine was bought just before the upgrade kit came out which I was slightly frustrated with but all works great

      Yep I think they are sending out a new valve because I just found the drain down valve squirts water everywhere.

    Off topic and you may have a video coming up on it but with regards to your engine pre-heater can I ask a) where did they fit it b) does it run from the starter or leisure battery & c) how much did it cost? Thanks and Happy Christmas!

      Hi Mike. No video on it although I may put it in an arctic prep video. It was £700 plus fitting direct from Autoterm. They have put it in front of the passenger wheel arch on the engine bay. Very neat and tidy. It’s pink the the leisure battery because we felt the van battery may have reduced power with extreme cold. Where as the leisure batteries are heated. Heat up the engine in about half an hour. I think next year I am going to bring another heater into the cab from it and maybe link in with water system.

    Lilie Pump with 2.3 bar -no pressure problems, Water tank can take up to 3 bar. and the lilie soft does not need the pressure tank either.

    Interesting, The Bobil seems overly complicated and I would go for a Truma D4e three connections Diesel, cold and hot out. Also a pipe in the top of the water tank rather than on the outside bottom = no leaks. Good idea to insulate the tank as well.
    The kitchen tap may have a flow restrictor in it somewhere.

    • @abucklife
      @abucklife  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yep I agree with you the only positive of the bobil over the truma is it has 12v heating and the size. They are big the truma ones. You live and learn.

      @@abucklife The Truma is all 12v but the 'e' version has a 240v element if you're on hookups for hot water.

      @abucklife 240v only heats the water, 12v + diesel either hot air or water or both. There's also a Chinese clone of it I think. Still orangehex answered with the wrong account 😅

    Looks like too much of a workup wirh all thise pipes , valves diverters. Where to stick the hot air in summer if you need to use your heater to heat the water .unfortunately not for me. A lot more room for water problems in my opinion. Going for the D6e truma . Compact all in one system makes it a better install with space saving. Looks good though 👌

    Wait… What…? It went to Bobil themselves for two days and even they didn’t diagnose you had no hot water and a bunch of pipes backwards? What madness is this!

    • @Marctickner
      @Marctickner 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      He said it went to autoterm so there just the diesel heaters not anything to do with Bobil
      Bobil designed there water heater to work with an autoterm or simular diesel heaters

      I can see how it looks like that. But for clarity. I stripped out some of it so they could access the heater. They were only looking at the heater not the bobil system. If that makes sense. 👍 it has been a load of faff. Spent ages on it.
