There's been quite a few I've seen in my lifetime, Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, Nolan Ryan, Pedro Martinez, Greg Maddox, John Smoltz. I could name a few more but you get the gist.
He was just a kid and the son of friends when I first saw him play but I didn’t watch many games when he was with Detroit. I absolutely fell in love with baseball in 2017 while watching him play with the Astros and have loved the game since. Astros are a fun team to watch so I’m glad he’s back.
I really liked having this guy as a Met and was hoping to see him in Mets uniform a little longer. That said, I enjoy the guy more than I did Max Scherzer. He was always an honest, jovial guy in his interviews and very hard to dislike, even through the first couple of months when his Mets career started out less than ideal. I hope the best for him and would love to see him get another ring. Go JV.
I watched Astros highlights this week and they briefly showed the Astros dugout, and I said to myself, "Is there a guy that looks like Justin Verlander on the team?" totally blown away just coming across this video!
Well yeah when you got a stupid organization like the Mets to make that happen I would of did the same thing. I'm almost willing to bet it was part or their plan from the jump
He didnt say no to it being difficult to leave... Man won 2 WS in Houston and had been to 6 straight ALCS but thought he would have better odds to win in NY lmao... it was all about the money
Why did he leave in the first place? Why is only and always about money with these guys? He leaves a team that just won the World Series and it really was only because of getting more money from the Mets AND THAT IS A FACT!!
@@XxChuyoxX So what!! The guy has made more than 200 million dollars in his career. Why is it only and always about more and more money? He also did not even play for a full year for the Astos while getting paid so why not give something back to them instead of running away to another team? I enjoy watching JV play anywhere regardless the team but it’s great seeing him with the Astros again. I’m not sure why some teams are more fun to watch than others but there seems to be an element of fun and closeness between Astros players. There’s also a difference in fans.
