Thank you. I am from Central Oregon. Grew up in Prineville, daughter lives in Metolius. I currently live in Northern California. So I go right past where you are 3 or 4 times a year. Never have taken the road in. Next time I will. Thank you for showing this great place
We haven't mentioned it, but your videos have definitely gotten better and better, and they were already great! You guys are making us miss the PNW with that campfire cookout. That crack looks like lots of fun! Charlie is really digging your music selection.
That fissure was amazing! The video of the hike was impressive. Just as you said the rocks look like they could fall, you came upon one that appears to have fallen, and caused you to crawl through. Roodle had a great time, too. ✌️❤️🥾🥾
Hola 👋 from New Mexico🌶️🌵.... Ive been a subscriber for awhile now and Carrie and Dave your videos and content is absolutely fantastic. Im in my 70's and cant do the things I use to. Thanks for sharing and angels all around you and lots of love sent. 💖🤗🙏
We've been into Crack in the Ground from the north and the south. The Green Mountain Road gets graded once every 34.2 years while the Crack in the Ground Road is graded once a century wheter it needs it or not. Seriously, while easily navigable, one of the worst jaring, tear your rig apart roads we've ever been on.
"Good zombie hideout...Not that I'm into that or anything.” 😂 you almost had me worried there for a second, Dave. I thought road life was getting to you. I hope you guys are doing well tonight and was able to enjoy the northern light show we had. Thank y'all and God bless.
Food always tastes better outside, especially in the cold weather! Thanks for this video… I live in Bend and still haven’t seen Crack in the Ground or so many of the great sights around Central Oregon yet. This video inspires me to “Get Crackin’”! 😉
Crack In The Ground is amazing!! Glad you all got to hike it together. I never heard of "snirt" before. That's a good one 😄👍. See you next time!! Safe travels!! 🥰🌿♥️
We live in central Oregon and an interesting fact: Juniper trees are not native to this area, and are considered invasive. They use a ton of water and discourage other tree types. (I grew up in western Oregon and hate Junipers, but that's just me.) Thanks for the video!
Zombies 😂 The Kraken 😂 I see a theme today. Nice hike for the easy trail, I’d hate to see the others 😮 Nice campground too, especially free. Wish the tower was open for visitors to view. I bet it’s a great view up there.
That was such a surprise and a cool hike! Roodle looked like he was having a lot of fun with Mom and Dad exploring the Crack. I really enjoy your vlog work Dave and Carrie. SNIRT! I LOL and will use that term in the future!
Oregon gets a bad rap because of Portland even though with a daughter there and having been there several times i find it no problems and have never had any trouble there in the least...Oregon is one of my favorite states to RV to simply because its so RV friendly...Love the state parks along the coast...We have relatives in Portland, Tillamook, and Cresent City so have done the ride between those places and the Bay Area (Home) several times...I know you folks are not into it much but if your traveling to and from some place in Oregon and need a ""Free Spot""to spend a nite, Oregon is great in the casino camping area , there are many options up and down the state for that...Have not spent much time at all in the eastern part of the state...Thanks for sharing your camping find here...Would love to spend more time around the Bend area and along the Columbia river also....If your ever in the Crater Lake area to visit, Check out Annie Creek sno park....Free spot while your there.....Travel safe, all stay well...
There is a lot of BS about Portland mostly promoted by media click baiters and right wingers. Bridge Town is a great small city abounding in culture and nature.
When you said hole in the ground I thought you were going to show us the pit toilet. Thankfully its a real hole. I guess we'll find out what it is next week. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give Roodle a pat on the head and a treat for me.
Great scenery! Thanks for the adventure in the “crack”, and happy for Roodle that it was a dog friendly trail. Safe travels as you adventure north and hopefully the wildfires in Canada won’t be an issue.
Very nice video...but that's what you guys do! Always enjoyable! That "fissure" was really impressive...when I saw some of those overhead rocks, I wondered "How often do they break off and fall down?"....you were brave souls to go in there...and the way the water apparently shaped the rocks was amazing. There were some tight spaces in there! Here's something you might like: phone app that identifies mountains! One is called "Peak Visor"...there are others. Open up app; app downloads GPS data (could be as much as 250 MB data or more); point your cell phone camera at the mountainous terrain; you can photograph the mountain(s) in question; app will display names of every mountain viewed by camera (via vertically-oriented text balloons). App also can send picture to phone photo file. Caveat: in poor reception areas (two bars or less) it could take many minutes to download GPS data for mountain identification.
Crack in the Wall looks to be a collapsed Lava tube, but likely a pressure ridge that has opened up. There are more around the NW, Northern Cali, Nevada, to Idaho.

Yall always find the best campsite away from the crowds. Crack in the ground was like another planet...great video!! Happy Trails 🐕
That was fun. Learned about something new in Oregon.
OH NO ! You guys are brave & so is Roodle going into the Crack ground. Thanks for taking us alone the trail.

Never heard of this place before...and I lived in OR for 14 years. Wow! Wonder what the history is there.
Great to see this
Thank you both so much for all the work you do. I felt like I was right there with you 😎❤️

❤ it when you hike together, the commentary is fun as you trod on down the trail! The Crack was cool!

One of the most fascinating things I've seen in ages.
My dog Charley loved the music thru the canyon!
Wow! What an awesome area! I had no idea! Great job!

What a nice dog!
“A lot easier when I was younger.” I’ve been saying that a lot these days. Great video! On my list.
It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you for the effort and care you take with each video presented. ❤️
Wow! You have inspired our next trip destination!
I soooo loved this video. Thank you for sharing this beautiful landscape. Best to the three of you 🏕
Wow what an amazing video. Can't wait to see next week's video.

Thanks for taking my old ass along to places I wouldn't be able to do.
You two make the best videos
Enjoyed that hike with u guys.
Great scenery! Thanks for the adventure in the “crack”, and happy for Roodle that it was a dog friendly trail.
Safe travels as you adventure north and hopefully the wildfires in Canada won’t be an issue.
Roodle sunrise color is the best. Your camera work so gorgeous.
Very cool! Sorry I missed this last summer after boondocking two weeks on the Winter Rim high above Summer Lake. Maybe next time.
Thanks!

Delightful!
You two see the Northern Lights last night? (Updated your "map site" just now with this new location, BTW.)
Yay, love your videos!! Appreciate your hard work.
Great video guys 👏🏼
Really impressive! Thank you for this very great video. Interesting to see “another” America! Enjoy 2025 and safe travels!
I like the music you put on here.
Thank You
awesome spot!!!!
I’m glad you all aren’t into Zombie hideouts!!!😅😅😅😂😂😂
very cool spots!
You needed to have a Roodle cam for the slot canyon.

I'm just starting my adventures in July. I'm heading to Alaska. Where do you find these most exciting interesting places?
If you have time, don’t forget about the head of the Metolius river.
I used to live in Christmas Valley Oregon.. if u walk threw the crack in the ground Watch Out For Rattle Snakes
No snakes in April.
I like all your free campsite scouting for the adventure, sorry, adVANturous nomads.
