    Have the 900 Ace in my Skandic. These great motors. Quiet, torquey, efficient, little oil use, nice ergos. Turbo oh yeah!

    I had a 2018 850 XRS last year and a 2019 900 turbo XRS this year and love it. The turbo holds its own against the 850 Doo and Polaris.

      @@ebsell I am thinking the same thing. I ride with about 20 doos. I bought a 19 rush , thing is sick but I think I want to go to something a little more comfy. 2020 gade 850 is prolly what I will settle with. I have one on order. But it is a toss up for the 600r. Don't need an 850 for trails we ride.

    the 900turbo has been benchmarked in Sweden at mcx. did produce 160hp stock.

      Rotax does that with all of their engines, they underestimate them so they always reach standards. The 850 runs 173+ on the Dyno consistently.

    It seems to me you guys strike a hard line between what's worth reviewing off-trail and on-trail, but the 137 skid is still billed as cross-over. Skidoo even markets Gades as such. I would have liked to hear how this things feels off-trail for those that love off-trail, but spend more time on trail or value the on-trail ride. The fact that you can get 1.6 lug tracks on these things indicates they are meant for occassional off-trail.

      Vlad Matejka not this model tho. Way way too heavy being a 4 stroke

  • @VonSpud
    @VonSpud 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    On the fence between 2 & 4 stroke...only negative I see, if you can call it that, is the added weight and the additional cost of the Turbo setup.
    Great review thanks!

    Doo sold as many Turbos as Yamaha and Cat put together, so I’d say it was a sales success.

      So its about false advertising on doo then. We sold more??? Then reality kicked in when yammie blue smoked you. So if its just about sales I see why now when I go by the bars all the doo owners run around and look when they hear my yammie coming. Wish I had a dallor every time that has happened. Makes me smile you don't want any of this. Want to know something she has 7200 miles on her and she was made in in 2014 and still stomps..

    • @nsa6790
      @nsa6790 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jana Barber Except you know that doo does sell the most sleds every year, they have for the last 20. Of course it’s going to stick together longer it’s a 4 stroke. Now the 4 stroke doo just like the 600 is bulletproof

    • @ebsell

    How do these new trail sleds compare to the FX Nytro?

    • @marcsieja7205
      @marcsieja7205 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Riding them back to back. the nytro rtx vs 900t xrs the 900 feels much lighter and is not as tied down and is way more playful on the 900. pulls harder all the way through in a drag too.

    ACE..... Always Chattering Everywhere! 600/900/1200’s “Brake Chatter” Since 2015! When will BRP address this issue? I know so many owners who have sold their sleds because of “ Brake Chatter” between 38-42 MPH, .....I’ll take a Yamaha or Cat 4 stroke ANYTIME, before I invest in another BRP 4 stroke again, TURBO or NON-TURBO❗️

    Whether you love them or hate them, 4-strokes are the future. Once they are made lighter, there will be no reason to run an unreliable 2-stroke motor anymore.

    • @440x
      @440x 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matthew Humenansky have u looked at sales numbers ?? 4 strokes are a niche market at best

    • @snoogboonin
      @snoogboonin 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      440x because they are heavy. Once they make a 4-stroke motor that is as light as a 2 stroke, why would you want all of the hassle of riding a 2 stroke? Some riders don’t want to worry about rebuilding the engine every couple years.

    • @snoogboonin

      Matthew Humenansky very few riders Yamaha already has engines that are almost as light make huge power but they almost can’t give them away the 4 stroke market is a utility / touring market sales numbers show that the direct injected 2 stroke killed any chance the 4 stroke had in the performance market

    • @VladMatejka
      @VladMatejka 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I somewhat agree. Ever-tightening environmental standards will change things before anything else. Initially, I see the 4 stroke as the future, but if companys can satisfy enviro regulations and durability concerns on their 2strokes, then 2strokes won't go away.

    You ended this clip by saying 600 riders might want to move to the 900, as if it were in the same general category. Apparently money is no object to you, $3,000+ to me makes it a totally different category. Jeez

    • @KCinvesting
      @KCinvesting 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@calebm.5698 But it was cheaper, more reliable, and probably better on belts and maintenance. There are markets for people who want NA 4-strokes and Turbo 4-strokes. The 900ace docent fit the NA bill.
