Most people will never understand how much work that is that you just did 💪 And I got a kick out of watching a yard guy do demo work😂 A rock digging rod and loopers for demo and electrical 👍 YOU GOT MY THUMBS UP FOR THE VIDEO!
Ha ha ha thank you so much! The right tools for the job. Most of the tools that we use we have found at customers. We went to that job without seeing any pictures. We budgeted 2 1/2 hours for start to finish and we ended up being there five hours.
@@jtphx4916 What it should cost to make money at it is about $800 for standard hot tubs that can be removed the standard way Plus dump fees. Then you should be tacking on for extra work like having to cut it up working in tight locations taking extra time. In general with the right equipment a hot tub should be able to be removed and loaded up and strapped down within 2 hours or less usually should take about 1 hour. Figuring on the low side for this video that you just watched, Plus dumb fees: 200 an hr * 3.5 = 700 (business and equipment) 150 an hr * 3.5 = 525 (first worker) 75 an hr * 3.5 = 262.50 (second worker) Total $ 1487.50 Now that's what it should cost or probably more in order to make a real business out of it to be able to pay for everything involved and possibly have some savings to replace equipment. However in this industry somebody would come in and do that job for $500 😭 or maybe even less. - The crazy part is just for the smallest roll-off dumpster it would cost you $500 and they're just dropping it off and picking it up. So why people include the free labor (breaking down and loading the hot tub) is beyond me 🤷♂️
That hot tub had the makings of a bomb shelter , lol . Might as well relax while the apocalypse hits eh ? 😂 Just kidding . At least you didn’t have to demo the rock around it . Great job , especially in the heat . Glad we don’t have rats in Alberta .
Thanks for watching and your comments. Yes it was intense getting it out. We have another similar one tomorrow morning. We’re starting at 6:30 to try and get it done before it’s too crazy hot. Hard start to the week lol. The customer wanted us to quote demo of the wall surrounding the tub and we told her we could do it once it gets cooler this fall. I think she’ll end up filling it in with soil instead. She talked about putting a fountain or some sculpture there.
Thank you! The tarp on the flagstone was just to keep the stone clean. The tarp of the brush removal was incredibly helpful. We do that burrito technique for many small green waste jobs. Anything larger like branches and we just carry them. Big green Bagster bags work great too!

Every single hot tub or swim spa I've done rodents. But we've never attempted one as tough as that one. Great work!
Thank you Andrew! We appreciate you watching and commenting. It’s nasty to see what rodents accumulate inside of these things.

Great work, guys! Was using the tarp helpful?
