Awesome video, this approach to sales really works. I made the switch months ago from the "a website is X" to "let's see what needs to be solved" and I could increase my prices a lot. Can't wait for the next video 😊

Awesome cheers rob, this is actually one thing I get now but didn’t initially. I saw all these people taking about technology when as you say they don’t give a crap about the “how” they just want sales. Subscribed!

That is a great video on point. It clearly explains what is our role as a web designer on the market, apart from that it's made so structured and clean, that helps me focus just on valuable information while be available taking notes. Thanks, Rob!

How do you provide the traffic to the business websites? Maybe facebook ads? I would have to learn a bit of that then =) . Good video MR Rob

    • @FoxWebSchool
      @FoxWebSchool  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Hey Ill have a full video on this as part of the challenge. Quick answer - before you get to a point where you can offer ways to increase traffic you can look for and work with businesses who don't have a traffic problem (they have just a sales problem).

Great video. It helped solidify some vague concepts. I feel like I am one step closer to being able to really have that conversation with a customer without feeling like I am making it up as I go. Looking forward to the next video in this series.

Great William, the next few videos will help a lot with seeing the WHY behind a sales pitch. It is one thing to copy someone else's pitch and another to really know how to make your own.

Hi m8, I've been watching a few of your videos and your passing on some great knowledge. I noticed some books in the background of this video and wondered what books you would recommend to someone that is bad at the business side of design? I'm not doing the same thing as you because I'm a UI/UX designer but I assume most sales knowledge you have/know will be applicable? Might be worth making a video about your favourite books or something!

Great video. It really takes a major mindset shift to STOP talking about "good-looking website", "wordpress" and so on and realize that Business owners do not care about all these things!

Good looking is a factor but way down the list after "why do we even need this" type questions. Thanks for watching Sanika.

Been following you for a month or two...great channel. great content!
U mentioned in one of ur earlier vids that u don't use WordPress or any CMS for client projects...
Should u ever have a moment, could you pls elaborate on the technology used? (static, JS templating or CMS).
Will you be putting a course together in the future?

Hey PG - for the first two years I used use HTML themes. Now I outsource so it ends up being a lot of different things - wordpress, webflow, elementor.
I go with what is best for the client and what we can use to get the best of results. I am not too attached to any one way.

@@FoxWebSchool Great content. During the project what are the tasks that you outsource? How this outsource work exactly? Since I am not that great at designing and developing a website (too much time consuming) is it ok to outsource those tasks ? Thanks

Hi Rob! I found small businesses in a google search that do not have a website. A few have Instagram and/or Facebook page and some have a link to a booking appointments page.
So how do I convince them why a website (not just the booking page ) is important to get more customers???

Hey Rob. So I was wondering if this seems like a legit side hustle...im an American. I've designed 2 websites using Wix templates and customized them for my needs. They both evolved to look very different from the original templates I chooses (each website was a different template) and for all intent and purpose, I would call them my originals.
What Im considering doing is contacting small businesses that don't have a web presence and offering to design a Wix website using a template and charging $500.
By no means am I a professional designer, but I do believe that I can offer something that is aesthetically nice and give the business that online presence that can benefit them in the long run.
In your honest opinion do you think that this is something that I can do as long as I:m forthcoming and advise my potential client im using a template?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
