    It’s May 29th 2024 , still helping someone like myself learn about CDJ 400, I still plan to buy 1 & mix with my DDJ 400 controller, I do have twin CD dual player with 5 channels & connected to my turn tables , technology certainly has come a very long way & knowing how CDJs cost , the more features the more the cost,

    I Like the light/s around the jog wheel (pink/red) looks amazing with the blue lights! Love the style!

    You can actually use it without a mixer. You can use the CDJ 400 as a Digital Controller. Which means that if you hook it up to your PC with a special cable, you can actually use the CDJ400 to control a "virtual" DJ setup, of two decks and a mixer. Do a search on DJ Controlers for more information. Another example of a Controler is the 'Numark Total Control'. Sounds confusing at first, but if you do research, you'll catch on quick :) P.S. For best results, yes, 2xCDJ400+Mixer is better!

    @HilaryB30 yes, but on the new cdj2000 & 900 they have a link feature. You just connect a cable into them & you can play music from just 1 source. USB or CD.

    so i obught myself 2 turntables and a mixer to be able to do vinyl mixing and it's suuuuper fun i love it but my collection is quite limited still, and i like doing loops too which i can't do with vinyl so im thinking of getting a CDJ to add into the mix with the TTs to expand my library and features... this seems like quite a nice option.
    i actually love that jet FX :D

    @xXVikingninjaXx If you're looking to be a scratch DJ, go 800mk2s, and if you're more into mixing, go for the 400s. The 800s' platters are great for scratching, and the 400s can scratch and have additional features. :)

    I was going to buy a CDJ 1000 mk2 (used) but seeing demo videos of the 400, I'm pretty much sold on this now. The 1000 is overkill for my needs. This is cheaper and supports more media.

  • @wcian
    @wcian 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    You CAN Use the cdj 400 as a controller for virtual DJ. I have version 5.2 so it might differ from version to version. If you go to config>controllers you will see a pic of a cdj 400. Right click on it and click activate. Done. Cdj 400 now controls your Virtual DJ

    What's the difference between a VCI-300 and a Pioneer CDJ-400? Which is more preferable in a club setting?

  • @stebok
    @stebok 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    mk3 1000's are still club standard.
    cdj400 has USB, MIBI and a few effects that 1000's dont have.
    but cdj400 doesnt have waveform view, multiple cue points, big (different) platter.

  • @djvaddy
    @djvaddy 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    very good cdj .... and it's also great for beginners , i recommend cdj 400 instead of cdj 200 , because cdj 200 does not have vinyl mode and vinyl mode is a good way to learn...
    btw, great video!

    @djuav The behringer DDM4000 is a great piece of equipment. Generally Behringer have really bad mixers but this ones a real work of art. at a quarter of the price of the djm800. Does more as well. Its about $500 australian. Compared to the $2000 the DJM800 is. And they do the exact same thing. And the ddm4000 is more customisable

    Hello i was thinking of purchasing a set of 400's.
    I have used the 1000MK3 as well as the 200's.
    I like the jog feel of the 1000's and find that the 200's are way to sensitive and suck for actual mixing unless you own a pair and are use to that sort of thing.I was just wondering in Vynal mode with the 400's if you get that same kinda over sensitivity as the 200's in CDJ mode.

    is this a club quality cdj or is the 1000 really the official club standard. Is this any less of a cdj compared to the 1000. and on the rim of the jog wheel is there a constant pitch bender as seen on the 800 and 1000

    Hey Jonathan, as someone who is wanting to transition from MIDI to CD's/USB drives, what would you recommend? I do want equipment that will last, nothing too cheaply made, but also not to heavy on the wallet. DJ'ing is currently a hobby for me as there is no work anywhere near where I live.

    but if you dont have the money go for the cdj-400!
    to be sure i have never seen anyone using frequently the LOOP FEATURES on the cdj800/850/900 but the hot cues i have SEEN A LOT man!
    and if you dont use the hot cues on your 1000mk3 go for the cdj400 and you will be more happie because you will forget about your cds and you will turn into USB sticks!

    When i put a new cd in to mix. I cue the track ready and beatmatched, but then the tempo will jump. Say i have the tempo set at 125, it will jump to 126 for a example. Then if i try to adjust it, it will do the same.
