@FlabbergastedFish88 I put in for a 4 day weekend just for this game. Working 10 hour shifts so hopefully it flies by. What sucks is that I have to work the 4th and the 5th. Those days are gonna drag. lol
When i found out they have a similar rdr2 mechanic of the greet/insult system i got very excited. This game is looking to be amazing! First one was good and this one just looks like nothing but amazing improvements!
I hope this one has a mechanic where you can highlight all the loot in the vicinity. Also when you loot a corpse or pick a plant there should be a pinball machine or cash register sound. Another thing they should have is big damage numbers that appear over your targets when you strike them that like tripple in size on a critical hit, and there should be a stealth vision where you can tag enemies and highlight their routes so you can leave tripwire bombs and see them behind walls. There should be towers that you can climb that unfog big portions of the map and show where all the loot is. The loot should be color coded by rarity like in diablo and you shouldnt have to go to a merchant to sell it you should just get the gold if u mark it as junk in ur inventory. There should also be a zombie mode with pvp where you can team kill and talk smack to other players. It also needs more vehicles like tanks and attack helicopters.
12:30, there was actually an auto brew skill in the first game that you could unlock for alchemy, so I'd be surprised if there wasn't an option for it in the second game.
Hi...great, even-handed preview, I thought. As a FYI, as you practice potion making and invest perk points, you'll begin brewing multiples of potions at a time so, say by 40% into the game let's say (maybe sooner, who knows), instead of 1 Saviour Snaps per cycle you'll be getting three/four/five per cycle. It will all depend on how much you invest to improving that particular skill. Let's be honest, if you are going to want to do a lot of saving on the spot getting good at making the save potion might be an aspect worth investing in...which is exactly how I approached it in the first game and it worked pretty well for me. Still, each to his/her own, of course. Anyway, enjoyed your preview and look forward to more. Cheers bud.

I don’t want to spoil anything here, but this game is doing it how it should be done. No pandering, no modern bs. Just purely showing the customs of some people and their history. And you’re absolutely free to befriend or antagonize them as much as you want. Edit. Also from Romania here. They nailed the Romani representation down to the language and mannerisms.

It depends on how you look at it. A lot of RPG games will be released, but not all of them will have massive marketing or be obvious choices in players' minds. Every year, RPGs are released that rank among the best of the year, but they’re not high-profile titles-sometimes they only gain recognition after launch. For example, you don’t have to look far: *Sea of Stars* or *Chained Echoes* were such titles in recent years, but they lack the recognition of major franchises.
lol what.... the first game is great story wise and it sounds like you had a skill issue tbh cause the combat mechanics are not horrible you just don't understand how they work and the fact that you are not the "chosen one" but a peasant with literally no skills whatsoever. Play the game further and you understand these aspects.
It has that "euro jank" but it's really good. Story, characters, historical events/figures and open world are really well made. It gives me the same vibes I had the first time I jumped into skyrim back in the days
Ah man you have no idea how good the first game was. You started off as an illiterate invalid, couldn't brew potions until you learned to read. Couldn't shoot a bow for first few levels without wearing bracers or long gloves or you'd flay your arm and get a debuff for a time. And your aim is atrocious. Swordplay was all about just trying to survive. But then you gain a few levels and your feeling bad ass. It's like the euro souls like of rpgs. Also i don't know if they kept the mechanic in the sequel but in the first game you could only save your game by drinking "savoir schnapps" which was alcoholic. So if you "saved" to much you could actually black out and wake up in the next village naked (Not exaggerating). Of course the schnapps wasn't the only alcohol in the game and certainly not the only one that could make you black out. Likewise there was one other method of saving, sleeping in a bed. But out in the world, during a mission, you had to chug an expensive drink. Which is why alchemy was really good to learn, cuz you could make those on top of so many other things. Also alchemy was really fun. You had to actually apply proper method and learn recipes. If you added the wrong ingredient at the wrong time or didn't bring the Calderon to a hard boil you could fail, make a different potion, accidentally make a poison etc.. or maybe you needed to let it simmer and not bring it to a boil at all. The first game was really in depth. And it's a survival game. You need to drink, eat, sleep. You need to sharpen your swords regularly. Repair armor. Wear armor properly. Best of all, you get a buff called "alpha male" for visiting the local bathhouse and doing more than just having the ladies wash your clothes. Lol seriously that's a thing but really, you want to keep your clothes and armor clean or your charisma stat will be nullified. Unless you get a specific perk. Seriously dude. First one was amazing. This is just that game polished to a shine and with all the bells and whistles the devs didn't get to put in the first one. Don't skip this one bro. It'll be fun as hell
