Nice looking watch. By coincidence i built a similar one for my best mate. Did you had the same difficulty finding the right lume for the hands? I had to get 5 different sets to match the colour of the markers.

Thank you very much! I've been pretty lucky with the stainless steel hands from Namoki matching up to the lume on the dials. I am having difficulty finding yellow gold and rose gold hand sets lumed with BGW9 though. I may purchase a lume kit and attempt to lume some on my own in the future. Thank you again for your support.

I guess you do not post parts that we can source the parts?

Hey thank you for checking out the video. The parts for these builds are sourced from a variety of websites including Lucius Atelier, Namokimods, Crystal times, Esslinger as well as ebay and Aliexpress. There are a multitude of reasons as to why I don't post the links however the main one being oftentimes the item is removed or changed from the vendors landing for one reason or another causing the link to throw what is essentially a 404 code. If there is a particular component you are after please let me know and I'm happy to share. If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you for your support.

If you want us to see the timegrapher, maybe having it in focus might help. And try to zoom in a bit when you're manipulating the movement. At range like it was shot, it's impossible to see what is going on.

Thank you for checking out the video. I apologize for the angle and focus during the timegrapher portion on the video. I'm still rather new to videography and was looking to capture the timegrapher set up as a whole and unfortunately had to leave it slightly out of focus. I will definitely look to improve my video set up for future videos and possibly include a picture in picture shot for the timegrapher related sections.

Great video! Question for you- when you make a watch like this that is expected to get wet, how comfortable are you with telling the person that he/she may swim with it without doing a water pressure test? I’m just now getting into building watches and wonder about what to tell friends that I build watches for whether or not they can swim with it. Cases that I purchase claim to have their 5/10/20 ATM rating, but would hate for them to swim with a watch that I build (or me for that matter) only to ruin the movement due to a water leak. Thoughts?

Thank you very much! To answer your question about water resistance, the majority of the cases I use in these videos and have used in the past come with a manufacture stated water resistance of 100m. I feel they may be exaggerating that number a bit. However, I have taken several cases to a local watch repair shop to have them tested and they have passed at that depth. In my personal experience I've worn several of my watches into different bodies of water to relatively "safe" depths and haven't had any resistance issues. As long as the crown tightens completely, there is a good gasket in the case, and the caseback is nice and tight the case should have decent water resistance. I typically tell friends and customers that these watches are okay to get wet and swim with but I make it known that its imperative to have the crown screwed down completely before entering the water. I would strongly advise against anyone wanting to use one of my watches as the sole timekeeping method for scuba diving or free diving. One for redundancies sake, and two because there is more suitable digital technology available in the market. I hope this offered some insight. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your support and enjoy the hobby.
