But keep in mind, if this is what someone wnated in the "hood" or "transition" areas to 1-off the home, this for a fact is something you won't see. This is immediately $30,000 in personal home value. The reason for the seperation issue is fire safety. Since the patio is attached to the house they probaly conisdering an extension hence it couldnt be close to the rear setback. BUt because you made it freestanding and its open structure you could theory enchroach. That gap counts as fire seperation between teh two structures.

    • @everythingresidential
      @everythingresidential  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree but a 1” air gap won’t stop a fire from spreading, typically your fire gap between buildings is 5’-10’

    Oh my God, that was poured at like an 8in slump. Did you get any grief from the homeowner on the color adding all that water probably made it two 2shades lighter. lol Sorry just had to say something about that. I really wanted to say great work looks amazing I can't wait until mine is finished I'm doing 14x14 gazebo with tung and groove celling with a 8x8 sectional seating that drops down 1ft from main grade then wrapping concrete countertops around two walls and rounding the end to a 4x4 rounded table for games and what not then doing Allen block walls for the concrete counter supports and cabinets with fire place and another section to the side for outside sink BBQ concrete countertops as well with block in the back and cedar cabinets and so much more I been designing this thing in my head for two years now I'm finally starting the gazebo build tomorrow. You do very good work and I'll definitely be doings that entertainment center wall how you did I was just going to inset TV and call it good until I seen this project thanks videos and contributing to my project

      Thank you so much! It’s definitely a one of a kind patio cover. Materials are around 10-15k but you can save around 3k if you didn’t have to anchor the posts 6’ into the earth, and if you don’t use a clear span beam where a wall will go.
