📺 VIDEO DESCRIPTION- In this video I find a quick overnight spot to ride out a wind storm. We have a cozy relaxing evening in the camper frying up some beef liver and talking about how depression and anxiety are actually a good thing!! The following day we take a day trip and go off roading in the 1992 Geo Tracker 4x4. We take it up into the mountains and find an old abandoned mine shaft!! When we reach the peak I get ready to take some drone shots but end up crashing the drone into the back of the Tracker and distroying the gimbal and two of the propellers.
It cracks me up every time when you blur out Mason doing his business.😂

I can tell you this much. Going off meds is the best thing I’ve ever done.
When you do the research, you learn they’re no good. Period.
Thanks! Yeah I feel like the meds are a good tool at times but ultimately not a good life time fix. It I’m not a doctor so I can only go off my own experiences
It's definitely better off of my meds.
Once the dust of the desert settles on your soul, your heart will never be content in other lands.
At 14 I became an adult--seriously! At 19 I tried to get away from all the chaos that was happening in our family, but couldn't. From what I can tell and have learned, if I'd moved out, joined the military, or went back packing in Europe, I think my brain would have repaired itself. As things went further downhill the overwhelming feeling that I was assuming too much responsibility in my life--and anxiety--gave way to depression. It wasn't until I was 35 and my doctor, quite by accident, prescribed the drug Paxil. It was very good for me. At 56 I tried getting off Paxil, and the old depression, slowly, came back. I realized that if I wanted to stay healthy, I was going to try and new medication--Wellbutrin. I'm now 62 and very grateful to be alive.
Wellbutrin is what I was on and it worked great when I needed it!! Even helped me to quit cigarettes!! Thanks for sharing!
They did that with effexxor with me in 2005. I weened myself off, learned to understand life, and found God in my own way.

So glad you are open about your anxiety and depression alot of people aren't. The mountain area is really beautiful!! The off road trail looked good with a few rough areas! We lost our big boy (yellow lab) in November and swore I didn't want to get another dog because he is greatly missed but dang Mason is making it where we would love a little buddy around. Enjoy your videos.

It’s hard losing one but feel like it does help the pain when you bring in another pup and give them a good home. Pups are the icing on the cake of life 😆

Liver and onions were my regular meal when I was pregnant for my 1st child. My dad loved liver and onions until then. Said I ate too much too often and he was sick of it.

I love Mason. He is just darling and seems to be so gentle. I have a long haired chihuahua to and she has the same coloring as Mason. I had to really work on the stain around her eyes and I noticed Mason has staining to. I bathe my Bella in a whitening shampoo that I get at Petco. You can also use some little pads called angel eyes. It will take awhile to remove but we'll worth it. Now that Bella is stain free I just use a washcloth and wipe around her eyes. I'm sure Mason helps you with your depression and anxiety.

That’s a different kind of anxiety when you feel pressured but chronic anxiety with insomnia and loss of appetite is worse. I have that and chronic depression. I take meds and wouldn’t want to stop. I was hospitalized for over 2 weeks so don’t want to go back there.
I had to stop half way through your video to comment on what you said about getting off depression meds. I got off of mine about 5 years ago and realized how dull I had felt on them. I was really never very happy or very sad. They dulled my emotions so much and I didn't even realize it. Shortly after that, I had congestive heart failure and they put me on maint. meds for that. Again, I took them for a while and then, with no more episodes of CHF, I got off of them. The world reopened again! I'm happy, I'm sad, but not depressed. I can feel again! I think some of these meds only suppress our emotions so we don't think about them. I'm not against meds, I think they should be used more judiciously. My DIL is a pharmacy tech. She told me that one of the 3 meds I was on after CHF was only to counteract the side effects of the other 2! Anyway, glad to hear your explanation of anxiety . It makes sense.
My brother has mental health issues. I wish he would come boondocking with me. The peace of the desert and simple living I think he would be heal. He is finally on medication to stabilize his moods. Pray he continues upward. He threatened suicide last year. Coincidentally, I was camping in Quartzsite. During one of our daily calls, coyotes could be heard in mountains. Alarmed, he said I was the crazy one to be in the desert outside at night. Told him I had better reception outside camp. He said, you would do that for me? I just cried and said " nothing would stop me to help you". ❤
Glad you are camping in beautiful Arizona. I lived in Sedona for 5 years. Explored the area. This looks like Mingus Mountain or Cocnino Forest meadows.
Your liver dinnner reminded me of my mom's attempts to make us siblings have a cheap meat meal. We all smothered the liver in onions, bacon and ketchup. The liver would still be on the plate after the "one bite" rule.

I microwave it in plastic all the time too, but I always get a few people telling me I’m poisoning myself 😂
Yeah me too, glass is a pain in the ass. Made for microwave, i don't see a problem, n don't care to hear otherwise, if it was that bad, it would be no longer sold. 🍻

Dude next time. Take out a lil bit of each veggie you want and leave in bowl on counter while your out walking or what ever. And at dinner time it will take 2 mins to boil water to cook them in making it easier on the power

Thanks Larry I love little dogs! I have a Maltipoo she’s all white and when she looks at me she has some of the very same expressions as Mason. My friend and I laugh at those looks Mason gives you because we see them in Leah😂that’s my dogs name.
Love the vids man!! Had anxiety my whole life, starting taking natures made magnesium glycinate from target. Pretty much completely gone now, and sleep is so much better. Most people are significantly deficient in magnesium, it’s been life changing. Glycinate version only, others did nothing for me.

We’re still watching but wanted to pop in and comment so I wouldn’t forget. I got off all psych meds 10 years ago and for me personally, it was an amazing life change for the positive. I agree, everyone has to do what is right for them. Sometimes for some of us (meaning more towards myself), my mental health issues are not from a chemical imbalance therefore meds just did more damage than good. I had to learn coping, new mindsets, new ways of adjusting and approaching. Anyway, thanks as always for sharing your experiences and journey. ~ Kristina

Sorry about your drone. I crashed mine last year but was able to fix it. But I have been to nervous to fly it. I have a saying that fits this well. "It cost a lot to live this cheap." I seen the fast guns! Make sure to get the locks, you'll thank me later. Thanks for sharing my friend.

I really love liver!!! And w it, mashed potatoes are the best. Within the next 3 years i am joining the nomad life. I never would have considered AZ because i like cold, but allof your videos it looks like its cold based on how many layers you wear. I subscribed a couple of months ago. Wow that’s so exciting to hear that you’ll be joining the nomad life!! I bet you are so excited?!?. AZ can definitely get hot in certain areas during certain parts of the year but there are plenty of spots that stay cool and very very cold depending on your elevation.

After my daughter passed I got on a antidepressant. After months of other medical problems I figured out I was allergic to the antidepressant. 😖 it just goes to show you need to listen to your body and be your own advocate. I’m sure I’ll be ok without them now hat it is almost camping season and my grandson, Huckleberry, will be with me for the summer. Can’t wait to camp! You’re luck to be able to camp all year. Not so much in Montana. Be blessed!

Larry, don’t be too hard on yourself cuz every You tuber has lost or crashed their drone and dropped the camera/phone in water so I think it comes with the job. But I hope you can fix it. I ❤ avocados too! They make my belly feel satisfied and full. Do you know as we get older, and also some of our meds, cause hardening of the arteries?...Avocados are like eating a "good cholestrol" if there is such a thing, they soften our arteries. On keto, I would bring them to work with a packet of taco bell sauce and be so satisfied. Now I am bad and eat them with ranch doritis.
I hope your doing your test strips for keto.
I’m currently doing keto so I make sure to eat plenty of them! Mostly because they taste so good tho 😂
Haven’t done test strips yet but I am planning to go get some blood work done to make sure I’m on track
That tire trash can is an awesome way to manage camp trash. I always figured those were for storage, but using it for trash makes even more sense.

Hello we are new to your videos. We camp a lot, the less people the better. We are retired, what I like to do is make poor boy dinners. Then freeze them. Put. your meat on butter foil. cut up veggies tater, onion on your foil. Season it all. Seal it up, bake for 20minutes or on a grill. From Rhonda...

I did some horse trading for a Phantom 4 Pro.... I don't intend to do cool videography with it, more like use it for trail/camp recon stuff... and maybe to enhance my outdoor experience a bit... I've never flown one so IDK exactly where to start, but rest assured I'll approach piloting with caution...

I recognized your love for the desert and the outdoors, the sense of adventure, freedom and excitement within you, I'd say you're hooked. Now you're taking care of and ensuring reliability of your Tracker. It's all investments that'll pay dividends in memories, for sure.

Haha I would love to name it but I haven’t figured out the perfect name yet! I do plan on sanding and clear coating the tracker hopefully this summer so it hopefully won’t look pink for long 😂

Haha I am bummed about the drone but I’m a firm believer in “everything happens for a reason” so I’m curious to see what comes out of it 🤷 maybe nothing except learning a lesson to not me dumb and take off the safety censors but hey maybe that will prevent me from losing the drone completely next time! At least now I might be able to fix my mistake 😂
