I did similar temp test on torp tm25 motor. uphill with 1040meter elevation during 11km at 80-100kmh I never got at 80ºC meawhile with stock motor it overheated 3 times on same track Great video mate
I'm all stock except for supermoto wheels/sprocket kit from luna. At 5k miles now and been running into over temperature control error code on the motor. All street riding close to 40mph for about 15 min before error comes up and motor gets hot to the touch. Drilled a bunch of holes in the bash guard to get some air flow on the motor but that did not help. Was gonna give up and get a new motor but I think I'll try this first , thanks for sharing
hey. great tip. wouldnt removing or putting alot of holes in the skidplate provide more airflow and cooling on the motor? i just installed ebmx 9000 controller and 81v battery so temperatur issues is a new thing for me.
@@Supermoto.surron I've now seen all ur videos and I am fairly new to the surron scene. I was wondering what cells and such to choose from Amorge but I'm not sure the differences, do you have any advice/knowledge that can help me build my battery?
No I'm 170lbs w a 10-15lb book bag. Not sure why it started overheating but it happens pretty consistently now. I tried turning the Regen to low and tested it yesterday but still goes into temperature protection in about 15-20 mins of street riding on my way to work. ATF in the motor is my next step I guess 🤷
Wouldn't mineral oil work better pro racers add ATF oil because that's what they have on hand people use mineral oil for submerging electronics while atf oil may have additives that can damage your motor. also, i recommend taking off your bashguard makes a huge difference i don't recommend it if you drive offroad.
I heard you can use liquid metal, which is 1000 times more efficient than you don't run the risk. That would be associated with pouring motor oil. into your motor. Second, our second I would also be kind of. worrisome. that the oil inside the motor doesn't catch fire from overheating it.
@@Supermoto.surron You never know. Either it could be a fire, or you can heat the magnets in the motors. to such a high temperature that they demagnetize and then the motor is ruined. unless you buy some liquid nitrogen and then place the magnets. into the liquid nitrogen for a little while. So I can regain its magnetic field.
@@Supermoto.surron Also, the Sir on motor definitely gets hot enough to start a fire. because of the copper coils. that accepts electricity. in order to get the magnetic field to start rotating the motor. Wish at that point. for the copper. It is extremely hot. Hi, bro. If you're pushing 7 to 12,000 watts. That's a lot of energy. And IDK what the smoke point of that oil is. But it might be wise. just to check into it for reassurance Not saying that it's going to happen, but logically thinking about it. the chances of it happening significantly increased.

Did u try it yet @leonardoyepez

Won't do shit my guy, needs more then a few extra holes in the bash plate unfortunately
@@Supermoto.surron so remove it completely? i dont mean as the only cooling mod, but it would help?
What exact oil did u use and how often would you have to change it
Any ATF fluid - changing once a year!
@@Supermoto.surron why change once a year ? I changed after 5000km to see, still red
im in aus to bro same set up as u but ebmx 72/42ah just dirt riding and been cooking lately in sandy conditions
Niceeeee bro
this could potentially eliminate the stock motor rust issues too.
Absolutely agree
After 3 months, question is : ¿ is still running?
Still running amazing and has not ever overheated
@Supermoto.surron okay!! Gonna do the same then thank you!!
Will this make the stock motor a little quieter as mines just randomly become ridiculously loud
I hear it the same
How long have you been running the atf in the motor ? Any negative effects?
A few weeks now and absolutely no negative effects , just positive!
@@Supermoto.surron amazing, you rock 🤙
Hi , did you notice any acceleration down grade ? As it add resistance for motor to rev up ?
Absolutely none
what is the top speed you've been able to crank out of that amorge battery?
Hey bro! Check out my first YT video, managed to get 117kmph at 14kw (could have gone more)
@@Supermoto.surron sweet thanks, ur vids are dope

@aasr7756 yes Lishen 2170LA cells most affordable, Mlicel P42A highest peak discharge, Samsung 50S highest ampere hours
Hello, I have never heard of this over heating on a stock Surron. Is it because of your size or what?

Upgraded controllor and 72 volt battery
Can you drive without the temperature sensor on the motor? My friend has been driving without it for 2 years without problems.
Yes you can! That option is built in the torp app
How would u change the oil tho
Undo the plate and tilt your bike to drain !
Will this work for a QS motor?
Only recommending for surron light bee x
does it already work? :D
Yesssss

I dont think the surron motor will get that hot my friend

Not on this type of motor
What exact oil did u use and how often would you have to change it
ATF oil , why do you want to change it ? There is no wear, I changed it to check after 5000 km, was just a bit darker but still red.
