Reading it was way more work. I’m glad I found this tutorial. I’m a visual learner so watching this video made it much easier. Thanks! I hope my incubator will have a high hatch rate for my eggs!
Your hatch rate should be amazing! Be sure to let us know!
Just got mine today and already fired it up with eggs inside. The only thing I wish it had is a day counter.
Can you do different eggs at the same time? Like duck, chicken, and turkey at the same time?
You can combine different eggs to incubate at the same time. Just be sure to check the temperature and humidity requirements to make sure they are all within the same range.
Great explanation. How do you know which eggs are fertil and which eggs are not fertil? It's my first time trying to encubate eggs
Eggs can be candled around 7-10 days to check for fertility and signs of a developing chick. At that time, eggs that are not viable can be discarded. Non fertile eggs will be light inside and can have a visible yolk. There are very good candling charts on line for comparison. You can candle again just before hatch lock down to make sure all of the eggs have developed as to not risk a bad egg breaking and contaminating the rest of the hatch.
We are very interested in upgrading our styrofoam incubators with a CT120. Can you incubate and hatch during the same cycle as we would want to load the trays on a weekly basis? - Mainly for Turkey eggs.
The CT120 does have the option to set and hatch at the same time. Eggs are loaded weekly and move from the turners to the hatch baskets. The manual will give guidlines on setting temperature and humidity levels. If you have larger Turkey eggs, you may want to add the Goose/Peacock egg racks.
Have you had any problem with the thermometer/humidity needing to run a second thermometer or no need for second thermometer?
Some customers like to use a second thermometer as a back up source of information. However the digital sensor readings are very accurate and alternate thermometers aren't needed and will likely be slightly off from the incubator sensor readings .
How do you go about setting the external room temperature and humidity parameters?
The room sensors work from set values based on the inside levels. The alarm will notify when the goes below 65 degrees and above 83 Humidity would be below 10% and above 85% Let us know if you need any additional information
Is the black tray filled with water that goes down on the floor?
During hatch the black water tray needs to be filled to provide additional humidity as the chick hatch. Until hatch, it can have water in it as a back up to the humidity system.
Why is mine beeper going on humidity right? The temperature is right. The reservoir is good. Why is this beeping?
The alarm indicates one of functions need attention. Please contact our Customer Support Team directly 800-511-1369 or support@hatchingtime.com to provide more details. Thank you.
Why is there no timer on the machine.
The digital settings are very easy to change on the screen. Manually changing the values between setting and hatch lockdown, helps prevent mistakes that could happen when setting a timer.
Does anyone have trouble putting normal chicken eggs in the turner? They don't fit well at all
