Thanks, Terry. You have been a wealth of information. I am toying with the idea of making an incubator with a couple of nested totes with bubble wrap between the two. I used a seedling heat mat in a single tote for my brooder with an STC-1000 controller to keep the temperature at 95°F. It does an excellent job. It kept the temperature within +/- 0.3°F of the desired setting. 100°F should not be much different. I haven't determined how to do the rotation yet but that shouldn't be too difficult. Controlling the humidity shouldn't be too difficult either.

Thanks Terry. Our unit arrives today. Can't wait to start using it.

Great information as always. I have watched your current live shows, and am sorry to hear that you had to get tid of everything and start new ideas. I hope it all goes well.
We purchased the larger version of the same incubator. The one that can hold 300 plus eggs. I just did a hatch with eggs from Myshire Farm and got 71 out of 120 hatched. What recommendations do you have for this brand? What temperature and humidity settings do you use for each phase? Thanks

Hi, I have been looking at these for awhile now. I'm concerned about the temperature and humidity settings for the incubator. Are there any cons to using this particular incubator? All incubators have at least one drawback. I'll be using it for chickens. Thank you for any response ☺️.

How would this compare to the Borotto Real49? I just got the Borotto and did one hatch with it so far but now I’m debating whether I should’ve gotten this one.

Do quail eggs fit without the quail egg racks ?

Do you store the eggs for a week or 2 before incubation? I’m wondering if I collect eggs for a couple weeks before I incubate them if hatch rate will still be high?

I collect eggs for up to 7 - 10 days, after that fertility drops off.

I still use Pine Sol on my cages, feeders and waterers. I use the Odo ban on incubators, shop floor and manure trays.
