Most contemporary Christian music is chanting and there’s a record label or a contract tied to it. The incredible hymns of the past were written out of the heart and soul of a relationship with God.

I think some of these question and answer formats are entertainment but great teaching.
I would put them at the top or very near the top of my entertainment. The truths revealed will last far longer and have much greater effect on my life than a contemporary "worship" song.
When we talk about spiritual gifts, we are not talking about skills. I have the skill of entertainment, not the gift. God tells us to exercise our gifts, not our skills.

I went to great Sunday schools. I did scripture exams and learnt about lots of things about the times Jesus lived in. We made shoebox models of the houses ppl lived in when we learnt the story of the invalid lowered from the roof to be touched by Jesus. The Catholic Church never did Sunday Schools. One near me started a "children's liturgy," but it was awful. None of the women really understood what to do and the kids just coloured in pictures of hearts n crosses😁

Regarding the Lord’s supper, It’s not very convincing to me when hearing the reason like “we have a mega church, we need to spend 25 mins on Lord’s supper, it’s simply too long so we don’t want to do it weekly”. What concerns me is not about the frequency. Instead, it makes me feel like it’s not worth spending 25 mins for Lord’s supper (the activity itself is not important) but that’s apparently not true.

If one has God in his life, why should he be seeking him? All he has to do, is to turn to God in prayer daily. One seek that which he has lost or never had. If Christ be in me and I in him, all I will be seeking is to obey and live an acceptable life before him. Many are making the Gospel of Christ too difficult.

I have a question. Why do some pastors scream or holler. Then I think the downfall of the church is letting the world come in. Example. Let’s cancel AWANAS and have supper bowl Sunday night. With big screen and football playing at the church. But we will skip the commercials. Or Let’s have an Easter Egg hunt. 150 children show up and only two bikes are given away. Oh yes trick or Trunk! Not to mention the girl two rows up wearing something that from two rows back you may wonder does this person have any cloths on. Also the sermon always always come back to we need more workers at the church. Now what I want to say is that I really miss the church. Like it was said church should be for the believer. Church is suppose to be the house of God we we worship and learn about God and his son Jesus.

I have a diagram of the trinity triangle :it said the father, the son, & the Holy Spirit were God . But the father, the son, & the Holy sprit were not each other. So I did a research project,& here are the results : the father,& son are spirits according to John 4:24, & they are holy Lev. 11:44, 21:8, & 1st Peter 1:16. Now the Lord's prayer : the word Hallowed means holy, & consecrated ,that makes the father who art in heaven a Holy Spirit : Mat 6:9, Luke 11:2 not to mention the son who is God . Now the Holy Spirit , the 3rd person : Luke 11:13, & Acts 2:38 says it is a gift , hardly a person . 1st Peter 1:17 says this about people ;And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:. 3 people in the trinity ?

There's certainly some awful music written in the past as well, particularly around the end of the 19th century.

They say the word "exposition" too much. They need a thesaurus on stage.

I ADORE christian music. Skillet, Imagine Dragons, etc. Y'all just to old. I'm not interested in funeral music. How deep the lyrics can be depend on who & why you ARE listening.

Imagine dragons isn’t Christian music, their lead singer is Mormon.

+Mary Hawkey -- Sorry, but that TRASH is not in the least "Christian music".. NOT ONE iota.. It is worldly nonsense with Christ's Name occasionally thrown in. The Bible is clear about joining in with the world and doing the same things that they do - which is what today's "Christian" music is 200%. "Imagine Dragons"?? A name for Satan is the dragon.. yeah, that's Christian. *No discernment*.. and the ONLY way to get any is to read the Bible. Skillet also is NOT Christian music, not one bit and no, no one is "too old". Again, it is having discernment and *being in obedience* to God, which again, you are not. Read a Bible.. seems you haven't done so.

@@andy10003000 The dragon is a name for Satan. Mormon or not, no, he is not Christian, and neither is that name OR their "music".... Jesus said to NOT become one with the world.
