in this video i re-create the vocal mix for "kyoto" by phoebe bridgers! i start of with the main vocal mix in ableton live. i learned that phoebe bridgers loves to produce her songs with a heavy emphasis on the lower frequencies, so her vocals on the high have space to cut through the mix! doing this will really create a warm feeling to your vocal mix. the next thing i added for this "how to sound like phoebe bridgers" song is the doubled vocals! i re-recorded my main vocal track two more times and panned them to both ears in ableton live suite! phoebe bridger's background vocals usually have a lot of reverb on them. so when i recorded the background vocals in this indie style, i added a bunch of reverb to the vocal mix in ableton. let me know who your favorite indie rock artist is! comment an artist you want to see me cover next! ✧ ☆

so great dude amazing work. only tip i got is that you should whack ur auto tune after the low cut! cutting the low frequencies can help the auto-tune out and give better results at least through my own personal experience

haha the vocals got some slight melodyne on them and these recordings were achieved through about an hour of comping. most of the takes sounded like a screaming dog trust me
