    This is the most in-depth and honest review I’ve ever seen, and I love it. I’m looking for a first car and my aunt owns a used car lot and just got one in with legit 40 miles on it, so I wanted to see what they were like. This has helped SO much! Thank you for your review 😁

      @@emendedndnnd5250 i wound up not buying it as there were 40 miles on only the new engine- everything else was well over 200k miles, and I didn’t (still don’t) have the money nor time for the potential repairs 😅

    I bought 1 myself 3 months ago.Speaking as a retired auto mechanic and vehicle assembler (firetrucks) this car has it all! This is my 4th Hyundai. My 1st was an '89 Excell. I drove it 10 years until it was hit. In "99 I bought an Accent which I'm still driving with 154000k.In 2010 I bought an Accent for my wife which she loves. These cars are durable,fun,and super simple to work on(for me anyway).Treat it right and it'll treat you right.Unlike US cars these give you more for less!

    Just bought my first Sonata tonight. Used 2013 with 58k miles. Gray metallic and it's gorgeous! Just a little unhappy that the financial manager told me the lender required me to have GAP, when I found out that that is illegal. WARNING!!!! The 2011-2014? Optimas have had a massive recall for engine failure due to metal shavings left behind in the engine after manufacturing, so if you have a Kia Optima (also a very sporty looking vehicle) make sure you get a new engine for FREE.

    • @dawnwhite7505

    I fell in love with this model almost instantly. I was contemplating the newer gen 2015 model but found it to be not nearly as curvy and stylish as this model. The 2018 and 2019 are fantastic but the 2020.......on a new level and I cannot wait to save for the 2020 Sonata after a year or two. Hyundai depreciation is fantastic.
    Until then I will keep my beautiful 2013 grey sonata GLS with only 71k miles! I will probably keep it until it's only worth about $4k trade in which will be a few years yet. It's one of the sexier cars of this generation of mid size cars. Curvy is good :)

    My mom had a silver 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS with grey leather interior. She bought it at Lance Cunningham Ford in Knoxville, Tennessee. I miss that car. It was a beautiful automobile. I drove it down to the end of my street and back when I lived in Powell, Tennessee. I did good backing out of the driveway but pulling in the driveway was difficult because of how small it is. I'd give anything to have that car back. I also miss the legroom in the backseat.

    Dear Wanderer 001,
    enjoyed your review as I have a new sonata very like yours except for color. I did compare with a Kia but quickly rejected it because clock lighting was red and difficult for one who is colorblind to see in varying light conditions. I did put "cheater" mirrors on and they will stay. My previous car was a 2006 sonata and they stayed on for years. I think I noticed a chevy symbol on the floor mat under the glove box. I purchased Husky brand fitted floor mats for year round use. In the back seat, I have two sons who are 6' 3" and 6' 7" - they can ride acceptably.
    Thanks for good review from one who owns.

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for letting me know about the cheater mirrors. Also you have a very sharp eye. Those Chevy mats have gone through a few cars. I got them with my first car a S10 Blazer, then then lived in my wifes Saturn and now are in her Sonata. How much did the husky fitted floor mats set you back if you don't mind me asking. I thought about weather tech. but was a little more then I wanted to spend.

    Thanks for the great review. For anyone that is interested in any Hyundai vehicle, I will say Hyundai and Kia have the best and coldest A/C systems. As a vehicle Sales Consultant, I work at a dealership that carries almost all the makes and models, and when a customer is on a budget and still wants the reliability, features, and looks of a higher end make, I always recommend the Hyundai brand. They are reliable, awesome on fuel, they have cool features, great look and feel, decent size for a family, and an a great power train warranty.

      I bought my used 2013 Sonata in great condition in 2017 and I have NO regrets. 2 years later it runs like a champ with 71k miles. I HIGHLY recommend this vehicle. It is very quiet and the air conditioning/heater thing is negligible. The double center console is just amazing too, as are the DUAL heated seats. This is a very comfortable and quiet vehicle and beautiful to boot.
      The only issue I have had on the interior is the vent clips breaking off and the heated seat LED indicators going out, and the plastic coating material on the buttons on the steering wheel worn off. Other then that it's in tip top shape.

      We did look at an altima the same time we were lookin at this. We ended up going with the sonata because the altima was a CVT and my my did not want one. Both would make a good car for a college aged kid. But think the sonata looks a little more sporty.

    Great video! I was wondering, do you still own the car today? If you do, was there any major problems that occurred throughout your ownership. I'm looking at a Hyundai Sonata 2013 used for a great price from a family friend and I plan on purchasing it in the next couple of days. But I've been doing some research on the car and there was a decent amount of reviews online saying, the engine is bad which is huge red flag for me. I want to know if you had that problem or any problem with your car. It will help me tremendously on the decision making process. Thank you and god bless!

      Just make sure that the way you pick up has had the "tiktok challange" recall. There should be a sticker on the drives side window. If it has not make sure they do it before taking possession of the car. My wife's car just got this done last week. Before that I had to get a club for the wheel just to be safe.

    Hi there, I just purchased a used Sonata. This is my 1st ever car 😁. Sorry for my maybe stupid question - how to charge the battery?
    Another one is related to the gas. When I went for a test drive, it seemed so sensitive 🥺. Would an option ECO help to have a little resistance?
    What about this option, ECO - how fuel efficient is it comparing with a regular non-Eco option?
    Thanks for your answers.

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Changing the battery I would just do a TH-cam search for that it's pretty simple to do. It's not like other cars where you have to take Parts out just to replace the battery. Eco mode will help my car feel a little less punchy. As for a fuel economy comparison can't really say for sure as my wife normally just drives it in eco mode all the time.

      Thank you. I am not sure what you are looking for in regards to steering actually being like. The best I can say is that it preforms as you would expect a front wheel drive car to. It might be a little lighter then some cars I have driven needing only a little nudge to move the car in a given direction. As for how to connect to the Bluetooth, rather then writing it out for you I found a video that shows how to. I purchased the 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS in September of this year and so far I am happy. For me that is a lot to say because I never liked Hyundai's I was a Honda & Chevy woman and would not move from those models. I do agree with your comments on and about the car @Wanderer001. I do love the quietness of the car when driving.Oh and I Loooove the turbo boost it has as well, that could get me in trouble with me having a heavy foot. I do love the sound system as well, it is not like the Bose in the Chevy nevertheless it pumps. I am however trying to understand the symbols beside the D (Drive); this is an option to go from automatic to stick shift? Am I correct in my understanding of this (I am not car expert and this is the newest model and car I have had) feature? I thought it was to help drive in snow nevertheless I think I am wrong there to. Would you suggest the skidding/traction button be on when driving in snow?
    Thank you for doing this video, it really helped me and now maybe I can go to my husband a little smarter about the car lol.

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Corinne Colvin The things beside the D are a pseudo manual shift. It really does not work that great. Best bet would be just to use it for down shifting in snow.
      As for traction button unless you need to spin the tires a bit or rock the car leave this option on.
