My dad had the car for 2 years we live in Minnesota and he drove it all the way to Missouri, iowa, south and North Dakota and even ohio. It's a beast in the snow as well. I'm looking to get this car soon and I'm excited.
I have the 2013 2.0T Limited w/o the nav/panoramic package. 85k on it now and I have found it to be a very reliable car, fun to drive, and it looks nicer inside and out than the competition from that year. Final negotiated price was $24,700. Total bargain. Only issue was a faulty shift cable, which disconnected three times and left me stranded. Finally was fixed via recall. This car made me a Hyundai/Genesis believer.
My wife's 2013 Sonata is a dream to drive. Love the Electronic assisted steering. Great view over the dash, and hugs the road like it's on tracks. Recommend them highly. I think the 2013-14's look better than the 2015 models. I feel they made the 2015's too blocky. Does look as good as the older models.
yeah agreed on the yf looks compared to the LF.. found it to be really sexy from behind,im keen to buy one refurbished in my country.. currently it costs around $14-15k,gonna wait till it drops the resale value drops till $8k-10k😉
Just bought one with a little different color scheme and ecoboost with paddle shift. So amazing. It’s in the shop being safety checked and oil change and detailed for me for when I pick it up Monday but damn this thing is great.
The Double Dave feature on the Real World Head Room and Leg Room Test is pretty cool! I would love to see that on more sedan testing. But great review. I like your style of reviewing and think you always do a thorough and good job.
Another top notch review Dave but I'm missing our man Alex! Do you guys still plan on doing reviews together? I so enjoy the energy you both bring to your test drives.
So out of all the cars the Sonata compares to, which would be your pic and why? I'd love to hear this when you do your reviews too. Looking forward to the rest of the videos this week!!
pretty disappointing that with the GLS you have to click the body button multiple times to get the heat/AC where you want to blow. I notice in this model the body figure button is separated for you in 3 parts to quickly adjust the air flow. very lazy on Hyundai's part with the GLS in that regard. very beautiful car
If your heavy on the gas, you'll average low 20s. But if your conservative and use eco, youll get more into the mid 20s. I've owned this car for 5 years now.
@@jailenemagana2526 The car has ran great. I still have it. Only put 45k miles on it since I got it in 2015. I've had a consistent electrical issue though. I don't believe it's something the manufacturer did wrong. I believe I have a short somewhere that kill my battery. But outside of that, great car.
Very beautiful car, I like the way it looks! And not expensive for all the interior equipment. I think in europe hyundai sells this car named i40. But this one looks a bit better.
Pass on the chain smoker seats. Garbage MPG especially compared to Accord. Price is OK but it's constantly creeping up. The 2nd row has good room but the sloping roof line ruins entry and exit. You should sit in the middle seat before Double Dave shows up. Mention road noise levels. I see Sups is back.
Somewhere around the 8-minute mark it sounds like there are some shotgun blasts in the background. Any chance you were close to an active shooting range during part of the filming?

I just bought a '17 Sonata SE a few weeks ago. I'm averaging 35 mpg so far. 20/80-city/highway. I have the 2.4L of course. btw...This is my third Hyundai since 2010. I've never taken any of my Hyundai cars in for a warranty repair. However I do trade them off at around 50K miles. So they're still in almost new condition and hyper maintained. My sister was pissed that I didn't give her a chance to buy my last trade in for her daughter.
these korean made cars are junk i had one first the engine blew up the cause they have lifter sticking problem got a new engine then kept on running rough reason something making spark plugs bad this was from a hundai dealer mechanic emission problem. hundai is not worth the money they suck.

No. Very quiet. Plus on ECO mode, the car burns very little gas. One of the most comfortable cars I've even driven.

The 2 liter turbo had 276 horsepower. It was the fastest Sonata built until 2021
Did anyone see superman when he popped the hood
lol I did
i only watch these reviews bc your voice is so nice like literally please start announcing sports or commercials and put that voice to good use
AKLjanoskians luke ...
Dave used to be a TV news anchor in a major Midwest City.
I'm working toward this vehicle right now ❕❕☝🏾 Dream car !
Did you get it?
Its a good car, I bought mines from fb marketplace for $5,500 the guy that sold it to me had it in great condition. It is great on gas too.
Great review!! The detail and the voice made this really useful and entertaining
Great review Dave, very slick editing!!!

It is 2018 and I love my 2012 Sonata! It looks just as new as some new cars!
Have you had to spend much money in repairs? Thinking of getting a 2012 used one. Does the engine have enough power?
Great design, premium feel, replaced only brake pads and wiper blades everything is still working great. Mine is 2012 model.
I wonder how awkward it is for him to do the double Dave test. lol
Not awkward but it does take plenty of thought and timing :-) Dave

Your miles probably a bit high for 11.5k in 2019 but who's counting.
I just bought same car but 2012 nice fully loaded..Not a Honda but pretty close 👍
Good idea the double Dave bit, you could use it on the 3rd row of minivans, subs and cross overs
Would this be a a good first car?
Excellent! It was technically my second car, but I would've also loved it as my first. First was Elantra.
I love black cars and when I look sonata 2013 black from one one of my friend, the design and exterior of the car is just ❤️
Good and thorough review! I'm considering a used model for a family member. Can hear the rifle shots around 8:00..
the steering wheel has no problems and never tends to wander
I'm from Poland and I have Hyundai Sonata 2012 2,4L imported from USA. This is very nice car ,beautiful car :)
Just got one today hope it lasts long 😊👌🏾
everything works great, I love this car
how many miles?
124,847 right now

Any engine issues brotha ?
Long term reliability? Looking at one atm
why cant I find 2014 sonata review? is it the same as the 2013?
i have same car 2014 hundai sonata limited automatic with manual . so my question is how to use manual mode in this car? please explain by video.
I would love to see a "Detailed" review on the 2014 Sonata Se 2.0 w/ premium package. They have changed alot from the 2013 year model.
Great review! Outstanding presentation.
Was this video shot at an outdoors shooting range? In the latter part of the video it sounds like lots of shots in the background.
Does anyone know if this one has a turbo? Im looking to buy the limited one but idk if it has a turbo in it or not

How does the sonata compare to an accord or camry as far as how long it will last?
not quite there yet. Hyundai has improved tremendously. But still not quite there with Honda and Toyota
