    I am Amanda from Hong Kong. I make easy and practical cantonese learning videos for complete beginners to intermediate level.
    My full time job is a flight attendant. I enjoy studying foreign languages. My job allows me to visit many places and meet many people. So that I have more chances to practice what I have learned.
    Due to the covid, I haven't fly regularly for over a year. I find TH-cam is extremely helpful for maintaining my language proficiency. One day, out of curiosity, I looked for cantonese learning channels. I was so surprised that there are so little and most of the good one are even from overseas. That's why I started "5 minute cantonese" on 2020.

    Hi Amanda! Thank you for the amazing lessons. I have a question when to start learning writing? I have been learning speaking and listening for 2 weeks so is there any parameter for practice speaking before learning written cantonese? Would be very helpful if you answer it :)

    • @5minutecantonese
      @5minutecantonese  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think there's no black and write answer. You can start anytime. But of course, really depends on how much time you have. If you are currently available or you are a full-time student. Definitely the earlier the better.
      Otherwise, I would suggest you to finish the basic of the romanization (e.g. jyutping) first. Then you can start to learn to read and write.

    Hola ana! estaba revisando las lecciones de cantones.Me fui ala leccion 15 que esta en italiano.En la leccion de ingles no tienes la misma ensen'ansa.Me refiero alas palabras arriba, abajo, enfrente, atras etc.etc.
    Hello Ana I was reviewing the cantonese lessons. So I went to lesson 15,it is in Italian. It does not have the same teaching.I am refering to words such as : up,down,in front, back etc.etc.
    Any way great teaching.Even though I am not fluent in Italian, but we (Spanish speakers) do understand Italian somewhat.
    I am not critizing your teaching by the way.I am just making a point.Like I told you before I was learning Cantonese in NY by an ABC.
    Hey why not pick up Spanish while your at it? Yes I know they are two different languages but we share many things and have many things in common.
    Ok enough writing,Last but not least.Did you know that Koreans like Cantonese as well??
    Take care!

      Thank you for your comment! These are 2 lessons of "Direction" are going to release in the coming weeks.
      Stay tuned!
      yes, since italian and spanish are pretty similar. I could understand a bit as well. Seriously, i tried to learn before. Just couldn't manage with limited time.
      Yes, I find some Korean words are very close to Cantonese, especially when I watch the Korean drama with Chinese subtitle. But once i switch it off, I understand nothing. hahaha
      Have a nice day!
