Brilliant rig!! I made this set up and took my girlfriend fishing, she’s only ever caught 2 carp and this caught her a PB of 20.6lb common and caught me 21.7lb common 🎉 🎣
Mechanism wise, the length of the hook is seriously important. Lost a lot of fish using shorter shanks means the hook doesn't hook them far enough back in the mouth and thus loosing fish. This is why stiff hinge rigs are more effective 🙌
@Korda Have tested these at my local canal. Overall good but there is one big negative thing about the d rig kickers. The d itself is very weak and tends to break wen doing hard casts or fishing on gravel, rocks. So its possible you cast and have no more bait on your rig. Thats a big no for canal fishing when you leave the rods 24h minimum soaking…
How do I get the boilie onto the swivel? I'm fairly new and have been using standard hair rigs or quickstops. Now looking into going after the bigger fish so have changed the setup and ordered a new set of hooks. Just confused as to how I get the bait on the hook due to it only being a swivel
They’re using micro ring swivels, you need to use baiting floss to put the boilie on and then you burn the end and it stops it coming of. Really simple mate just watch Tom doves “ how to make a spinner rig” he shows you on there. It’s around 3:40 into toms video.
@@MojoJojo292 You are right but if you use a coated hooklink with a stripped back section how can you know that doesn't happen with that?? Tie some rigs fill up a sink and drop them in?A rigs efficiency tested on a dining room table work nothing like the same in water!!!! Only pop ups on semi stiff/stiff booms kick away from the lead!!! You would be amazed how many straight bottom bait rigs look like a bag of spanners on the bottom because they just don't kick away from the lead because of the weight of the hookbait!!!!
Whipping knot D is one of the best rigs out there,
You’re from Essex Danny, it’s pronounced “wofter” northerners say “ wafter”

Disclaimer : No t shirts where harmed in the making of this video !!!
In The clips of the rig entering the water I’m sure it shows the hook laying back on it self?
Why does that matter???
@@darrylclarkson1799hook has the chance to catch the hooklink…
