This can destroy the mechanical balance of an engine. 100% Ethanol simply doesn't have the calorific value to power a vehicle. 2. Even if we find a way to make such engines, it is highly likely that existing vehicles will not be compatible and the product will be simple too expensive for the avg consumer.
The Future is EV or Electric Vehicle that can be plugged in. The biofuels should be a smaller percentage of the solution to help relieve stress of higher gas prices and inflation. Electric Vehicles should be the priority because they will give you cleaner energy with less pollution.
For example imagine rice farmers switching to sugarcane. Sugarcane yield can be increased and profit the farmers, but Rice yield is reduced. In turn we might face rice shortage and end up importing rice too. This whole idea is to reduce the imports.
