As part of my biannual maintenance, I clean and lubricate the truck camper jacks. Atwood, Happijac or Reico, you’ll need to keep them working properly. I use wd40 silicon spray for a lot of this.
Fleetwood RV, Lance, Arctic Fox and many others use these jacks. You can do it yourself.

You can never fit rid of the green crusties. It will always come back. Deoxit is the best hands down to get you going but it will return. Thanks for the videos man!

Thank you for yet another great session, the crazy thing is I thought that screw cap was for the city water inlet and im very glad I didn't go nuts and opened it up and tried to put water in there.

Going to be at a loss when you switch to a travel trailer. Have learned quite a bit about our truck camper (TC) from your videos. Dont get me wrong. Understand the travel trailer (TT) has more living space. We actually have both. TC is easier to get off the beaten path, where our TT is basically a studio apartment on wheels. We are about 3.5 years from retiremet so definitely appreciate the transparency of how you are preparing for yours. As always, thank you posting these video.

@@covetthecamper2289 - we have thought about doing the same, Truck camper towing a small trailer. Know a couple that does it with a casita. They mostly boondock. Where as we stay in a far amount of campground and are concerned about restrictions of one unit per site &/or being double charged. Still like the idea of it. Our current truck is only capable of carrying the truck camper or towing the trailer, but not both.

Thinking you should skip the grease on the legs. The place that needs it is the screw inside of the leg. That’s where grease is needed. Outside the leg will just collect dust and dirt and then suck it up into your jack screw… causing it to fail faster.

On my truck camper jacks, I prefer PB Blaster instead of silicon spray because it is a penetrating oil based lubricant.

Sure, that works too. I use the dry lubricant because it does not collect dirt/grime.

i noticed ur lance looks like maybe an 11.3 on that ford, dose it handle well on the mt. roads like here in n. ca. well? I have an 29' class c on a super duty f450 that sways and leans on long turns on like 101n. My question is do you think pickups give better handling than a class C ? and T Y.
