I can understand why you opted for the truck and the camper to go onto the truck so that you could unhook and use the truck and then come back again to basically your home. I don’t know what AAA is like in America, but in England, if you have a campervan, we have the AA (automobile Association) or we have the RAC, and no matter where you are in the UK, they will be with you within a maximum of 30 minutes. If they can’t fix your vehicle by the roadside, the AA or the RAC will then tow your vehicle to their workshop and included in the package is they will put you up in a hotel for however many days it takes to fix your vehicle. Awesome video as always. Please keep them coming and take care of yourself.
To help with your water hose being kinked and leaking you might get an adapter of hose that has a spring on it. That will take the pressure of the longer hose off your connection.
I had a line painted on the center of my truck camper between my bumpers. I also had a line painted down the center of my bed mat. That way I could tell if I was cock-eyed and not straight, while backing. My back up camera focused on those. I put the line on the camper on the line of the truck bed. No deviation = camper centered and straight. You do what works for you. This may help it be easier.
Another great idea! The tape didn't work for me because I was too short to see it but I get out often to check my placement. I think your idea could work!
I had a truck camper and the jacks didn’t have marks so I extended my jacks fully, high as it could go ( no wind day ). I took a tape measure and marked each inch with a permanent marker. If your OCD which you might be! LOL! You can mark to the half inch or smaller. May have to redo a couple times a year.
You are a badass! I have watched you load and unload your camper and it makes me a nervous wreck 😂 I liked what you said about it’s learning a new skill. ❤
Once again, another great video. Thanks so much for what you do. I really look forward to watching your videos. Take care and blessings to you from across the pond.
Not a problem at all. I really enjoy the videos and unfortunately I had quite a long day so when it started it was already 1 o’clock in the morning here so I was pretty tired. I wished I could’ve spent more time on there chatting to everybody, but my eyes were shutting down slower and slower till finally I had to say good night everybody and get some sleep. LOL. I’m an old man and I need my beauty sleep. LOL. Take care of yourself and blessings to you from England.
@@KimannChessa the honour was all mine. I think you did a brilliant job as well because I know you were worried about that, but it turned out great. Like I said it’s just a pity I couldn’t stay longer. Take care.
Very true! I do have one on the Note app on my phone, but most of the time, I don't look at it, but I need to! I forgot to move the license plate to the truck a few times, and I forgot to disconnect the DC-DC charger before. Thanks for the reminder to always use it!
When your camper is offloaded, what’s to stop someone with another pickup coming by, and stealing your rig? Is this a concern? Is there additional security you can take to prevent this?
I have a small GPS unit I keep for my motorcycle when I'm on the road ... The device will send an alert if it's moved letting me know that someone's attempting to steal it. I'd do the same for a truck-camper, I would not want to take a chance and have it stolen and not have a way to track it down. 👊🏻 The battery on the GPS device lasts months without having to recharge... 🌵
@@bontheroad8511 There are many devices out there now a days so, you have options. The brand I have is called Invoxia ... There are some on eBay for under $50 dollars, there is also an app and a not very expensive monthly fee that I activate while traveling, so I activate the device and I'll pay for a month or so to cover the trip then let it lapse, I do the same with my inReach 👊 A little insurance policy doesn't hurt 👍
@toranzeisig4874 I only take it off at campgrounds that have other campers. It is just like leaving your travel trailer at the campsite. I heard of some people taking their jack controller as an added security measure. It is not easy loading the truck camper on a whim. You need the right size truck and frame-mounted tie-downs. It is not impossible, but it would take a lot of planning.
Hi Dan, Thank you for your kind words and for watching my videos! I don't share my personal information here. I will be starting a community soon, though.
Aaah man we gotta meet someday 🫤. Don't get a dually. I can't put tape down the middle of my truck bed to line it up because i have a Northern lite which requires a soft bed liner, which is like placing down a door mat, u can move it around, n so much for the tape lined up cause it will move once camper is off 🙄. (So ill see if this other vid u linked is any help). Also they say to never totally recline your jack legs up inside, leave 1-2" out to prevent the jack from jamming up inside, mine r happijacks system...Just in case it applies to all brands. Lastly, they make snap pads for truck camper legs now too, but they will rub on my tie downs so no good for me. I went to walmart rv section n bought 4x little hard rectangular like rubber pads i use for the feet. Good video.🍻
The tape didn't work because I was short and couldn't see it when backing up. You are right. My jack manufacturer, Rieco, says not to retract them for that reason. I always leave an inch. I didn't realize that it came across that way in the video. I should put a note about that in the description. Snap pads are a great idea! I got the Camco pads for free, which I have been using. I thought about a dually but then decided against it. I'm not too fond of the width, and I hear that they aren't good off-road because rocks can get stuck. Thank you for the comment! I love to hear from fellow truck camper friends!
😮 never thought about rocks jamming, good god i hope i don't run into that. I'm shopping for the magnetic hook n long dog leash right now, lol i think that article of broom n leash might help me a lot, so thx for linking it, i hope it helps anyway, but it's a good start Lol 🍻

AAA has a similar service in the States, but 30 minutes is not guaranteed! You can be waiting for a while. There are different levels of service.
One of your best videos yet 👍🏼 I have more confidence already 😹
Ahhh! Thank you so much! Very kind of you!! I appreciate it so much! 🙏😊🤗
@@KimannChessa My pleasure... Looking forward to our next adventure 👍👊👍

Wow, thanks!

Glad you liked it! Thank you!

I've always wondered how the loading and unloading was done. Thank you!
You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
You're amazing!
It is 7 point plug not 6 point at 7:30 Great video!
Ok. Thank you for letting me know.
I might recommend a laminated departure checklist. Pilots use them before every take-off. Of course they're only as good if they are used. 😏

Thank you! 😊
Very good video. Hopefully we can bump into each other on the road. Be safe and God Bless
I hope so too!
I want to get a dually and either a Northern Lite 10-2 or a 2500 series Bigfoot truck camper.
Very nice! Those are beautiful campers!
Yea nice thanks much 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great Information!
Glad it was helpful!

What a pain, especially in bad weather but im a wuss lol
