I have a KO and I love it. I have only had the Stock motor and the KO, So my opinion is not that of someone who has rode many aftermarket controllers. With that said, I have mine in a tune that fits my needs and love that I can take more time to fine tune a wheelie mode and more. The ability to make Trail Modes, Park Modes, Eco Modes, Race Modes and more is beyond words and is a Life changing in the Best of ways. I recently met someone whom I consider a friend. they rode my KO and was kinda suprized in the best way. They are a Master at wheelies on there Dirt Bike but could not handle the Tune I had set. This is why I love the Ability to create Modes and think with the Right Tuning He would be wheeling to his hearts content! I also Just Got that Fork, waiting on bearings for it then its ready to rock again! Love this review and glad to hear some honest feedback on the KO and this fork! Its not a Bad Motor or Controller imho, and as far as stock it just puts stock to shame. With that said I love Surron/Segway/etc for allowing us to customize these bikes and give them new life on trails, street etc. So I cant fully hate the Stock Bike but I think anyone who has a stock surron for long enough will be looking to upgrade. Very happy with my setup so far and love the setup you have, Looks awesome!
Nice riding, are you really narrating while riding? I would have been breathing much more and I would think the bumps would screw up my voice. Seems smooth. Always loved my Rekluse and wished for no gears. My Tesla confirms the lack of need for gears, clutches etc ;-)
How much does a full setup like that end up costing just out of curiosity? I’ve been waiting for the right time to replace my dirt bike with an electric one but always feel like we are not there yet.
You should look into a Stark Varg (not released yet, super long waiting list) or one of the more powerful Surrons like the Ultra Bee or Storm Bee. Depending on your needs it might make more sense to start with something built to be stronger from the ground up.
Yeah I guess I could sell the 20kw surron and bye a starg Varg, however I ride mine on the street legally with a pedal kit and a set of pegals. Plus no bike co. manufacturers a 140 lb bike with 800 NM at 20 kw. Weight to power.
@@jerkychew899 yep it's been on my radar since last year! I'm in no rush so wanted to see how the final product turns out before fully committing. Looks very promising though.
Love the EXT Ferro and not just because I spent the money. I'm running same PSI you are and 11 clicks out on the rebound. Absolutely love it. My plan is to go with the longer swingarm in order to get it more planted.
Incredible.....simply incredible. The KO controversy is politics maybe? I'm thinking of getting a KO Fspec. motor for my talaria mx4 supermoto to match my warp9 custom SM wheel set.
Very surprised you don’t put that much pressure in it. I’m way lighter than you and ++ chamber needs at the very minimum 200psi with the + one around 100 to keep this plus feeling we both like.
@MTO_Brothers Thanks for the note. My spec suggestions came directly from the test riders who work at EXT. Our specs aren't far off. We are both running the same PSI in the main chamber, you're just running 50PSI more in your ramp chamber, which is likely not going to make much difference on these trails. How much do you weigh? What type of terrain are you riding? Where are your clickers set to? Could all make a difference. Just so this doesn't go unnoticed, as a starting point, EXT suggests 65PSI in the main chamber (+) and 100PSI in the ramp chamber (++).
@@ElectricCycleRider EXT's suggestions are completely off. I'm 50kg (110lbs) so clearly on the lighter side and with their recommended baseline I was bottoming out playing in my garden (not really riding). But yeah, many factors can influence this you're totally right.
I'd empty both chambers and refill. It's important to start with the correct chamber and it needs to always have more pressure than the upper. Otherwise top chamber having more psi will force the bike to bottom out. Hopefully you haven't done any damage.@@electric_things_
Few questions… How tall are you and what’s your weight? For single track riding, money no object, would you prefer an ultra bee at stock power but any other upgrade you want or a light bee with 12.5kw and any upgrades you want? Trying to narrow down my purchase and am totally lost. Just sold my talaria mx3 to upgrade.
You are always better off with the bigger ultra bee. However, for my purposes I need to keep my smaller and like the better turning radius for riding through the city and running from police. It also doesn't look so much like a dirt bike. But if you want the best offroad and onroad performance, than the ultra bee is the way to go.
Hey guys I have a similar build except running the KO race spec motor, so a little more kv. I set my controller for 20 kw. My question is I can't run the 60 sprocket, front end just lift up on anything above Eco wich is 1 out of 5. I want to try a 40 tooth sprocket so I can actually use sport wich would 5 out of 1 - 5. Yes I know I can turn the power down to 18 kw or lower. But I want max top speed and lower end in sport setting. Kind of crazy putting over 15k into an ebike. Just looking for your input. Thanks
I ride a 300 2 stroke now. We ride rocky, tight single track here in PA forest. Lots of clutch work, and average speeds in the technical sections, which is where the guys I ride with like to go, might be 5-15mph. So with that in mind, how would this be in that kind of riding with no clutch? Also, we sometimes loop out, bikes slide down rocky hills, I’ve had rocks punch through my engine cases. Are there enough after market guards to protect it in that kind of stuff ? Thanks
These aren't good for that kind of riding. They spin the tire too easily with no clutch. Ultra be may be better once you put on the 18/21" wheels but for now, can't beat the 2 stroke with a clutch. By the time you do all the mods, you are at Erzberg prices which makes zero sense.
although I agree with you I've had amazing results riding with the X9K with the proper throttle calibrations, ramping and deadband inputs. I've been riding uphill small rocks (doll head size rocks) and just using the throttle for feathering@@midgetmoney1 tires are important as well because as you surmised it can break with the ground easily. I've been using a 58t sprocket and the results have been very respectable.
@@surronzak8154They actually changed that. Since ± a month ago they use a different version of the swingarm with a new 'unbreakable' knob fastened with two screws instead of one. And everyone who has the 'V1' version swingarm can get a new upgraded/improved knob for free.

Always shocked how many surron folks use the fox40s as comparisons. The fox40 is one of the worst fork choices a guy could make for a light bee. These are NOT mtbs.
