      I been having nothing but E46s since 2012, and this inline 6 has been pretty easy to work on and, realistically, very reliable.

      @@KrisO1976Okay but what were the symptoms, how did you know they did to be replaced, does it throw a code when the injectors are bad ?

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There was no problems, codes, or symptoms. I changed my injectors, just because it's a 20 year old car. I really like my car. Sometimes I just do maintenance. I didn't have to change them. I could have cleaned them just as easy. But why not just replace 20 year old parts. I haven't had an E46 break down on me in about 12 years.

      @@KrisO1976hey can you please tell me these fuel injectors have treated you since installing them specifically? I ask because I’m in the process of buying some to get my E46 back up and running and I saw these at a good price on A premium website but want to know if they are just crap that’s gonna go back two months later. Hope to hear from you soon before I have to speculate and pull the trigger on some. Thanks man

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @King_DTA A premium mislabeled their injectors. The 325 and 330 don't use the same injectors, so before you buy check the past numbers. If you have a 330, the fuel injector part number is 13537546245 the Siemens injector is part number 1439800. If you have a 325, the part number is 13537546244. Siemens part number 1427240.. Other than that, I haven't even thought about them since I changed them.

    Note: The carbon buildup around the injector extensions is normal due to the EGR system. Clogged injectors would be either at the tip or internal to the injector.

    Please get a tripod so we can see the ‘in between’ bits

      I'm getting a little better. Also, finding out the Sony camera I bought isn't best for this kinda stuff. But I'm going to try to get the camera a little deeper in the engine bay next time.

    If you buy new injectors...make sure they are OEM level parts. Buy from FCP Euro for example. Changing working injectors with Chinese knock-offs is a sure way to open a new can of worms. I just bought a fuel injector test/cleaning machine since I have quite a few cars that are having some service work done to them that requires the intake manifold off, so it's a perfect time to service the injectors. I'll wait for a convenient time to service my E46's injectors.

    Hi, I have a 2004 330Ci. It is leaking fuel from the injectors only at below freezing temperatures. It always starts/runs perfect and doesn’t leak at normal temps. Is it worth replacing o rings? Or are ‘04 injectors known to leak from the injector body when freezing?
    If I have to replace injectors do you have to calibrate? Thank you for any recommendations/advice

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I live in a mild climate that rarely ever gets below freezing, so I don't have that experience. I suppose the o rings can harden in cold weather. The car is 20 years old and is likely to have the original o rings. You can buy just new o rings and give that a try. Won't hurt.

      Hey bro only way to solve this issue with the M54 engines specifically in the E46 is to upgrade them to the Gen 3 Bosch injectors. Pricey AF but it will solve the weather weakness issues for those of us like myself who live in changing climate conditions each season. It’s the only way if you wanna do it once and be solid for the life span of the car, or otherwise your options replacing seals and/or injectors every year

    Having an issue putting gas in the tank keeps clicking off if you try to put it in to fast. Have changed fuel filter and the purge valve with no luck. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance. Oh love the videos

      Do a Evap smoke test to find the leak that’s causing it. I had the same issue i changed everything. It turned out to be a cracked fuel pipe under the that leads to the charcoal canister

    Nice video. Where did you go for the injectors

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought them from Amazon, but if you check out the description, I give the correct part numbers. After I changed my injectors, I did a little more research and found out they had the wrong part numbers listed. I had to change them to the correct injectors a few days later.

    What’s up brother, my e46 are throwing these codes, P1343, P0313, P0300, P0171, P1346 and P0444. On cold starts if I don’t give it a little revs it’ll go into limp mode also. Been trying to figure out the problem for a while now and don’t even know where to start, nothing on google is really clear and doesn’t seem to be alot of help. Any help would be much appreciated man, thank you!

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's tough. Those are all misfire codes. Could be bad coils. Could just be the intake boots are brittle and cracked.. could be a bad MAF. Could just be something wasn't put on properly during maintenance. I'd change the intake boots, clean the MAF, clear the codes, and go from there.

    If you dont put the injector retaining clips back on will you get a fuel leak

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I doubt it. Even without the clips, the fuel rail itself will hold everything in place when it is screwed down

    • @King_DTA
      @King_DTA หลายเดือนก่อน

      Short answer is No. they are there for two reasons, for the manufacturing process and two keep the injectors connected to the rail in the case you want to pull it all out together and not deal with fuel everywhere

      I have red high performance BAVauto coils on my '03 E46. For over 10 years. You can get them from ECStuning.

    did you feel any sort of difference in drive after changing them?

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, no. The car just hit 150,000 miles. The factory injectors were all fine. I'm glad I did it for my own piece of mind, but it was really a waste of time and money. I'm not going to do it to my daily, unless they break

  • @rudyt1582
    @rudyt1582 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Nope I won't be prying everything especially with a pry bar when you can undo clips and fasteners....it's old and plastic might break ....jeez

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Everything is unclipped. The injectors are pressed into place after being there for almost 20 years. You aren't going to just pull them out by hand.

  • @TheStianKH
    @TheStianKH 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    No need for coding the injectors?😎

    • @KrisO1976
      @KrisO1976  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not on the M54 engines. That's for the newer cars. I didn't have to tune anything either because I didn't use bigger injectors or anything. Just replaced them with new ones. I could have just cleaned the old injectors, but I felt like brand new was the way to go for me.

      How much cc for each injector?
