      Where’s the evidence of this and why do loads of people who test their blood glucose still see spikes after consuming ?

      @@nawzadmi8330 Cooked rice that has been cooled is higher in resistant starch than rice that was cooked and not cooled. Try cooking rice, potatoes, beans, and pasta a day in advance and cool in the refrigerator overnight. It's ok to reheat the starch before eating. Reheating doesn't decrease the amount of resistant starch. Googled it and learned it from a GI doctor

    Dr. Gundry... after cooking, and then placing potatoes, pasta, bread, corn and beans into the frig for over 24 hrs. Are they then indigestable and become a resistant starch that will not raise glucose or insulin?

    Hi Dr. Gundry,
    What is your position on eating resistant starches and protein, like meat, chicken, cheese, eggs, together in a meal? One expert advisor on social media recommends not to combine them.

    What happens with resistant starch for people who don’t have a colon (ie they have an ileostomy), since there is no colon to ferment the resistant starch? Does that mean that the calories also don’t get absorbed?

      Fantastic question! Ripe, yellow bananas contain lectins and they're also high in sugar. We recommend swapping for green bananas instead! You can learn more about why bananas are on the "No" list here: gundrymd.com/bananas-lectins/. Thank you!

    OK suppose you do this but also cook your rice and coconut milk rather than water? Recently had coconut rice in a restaurant, and I just thought it was so delicious and cook my rice like this from now on.. coconut milk healthy fat. So I figure it’s better for you.. if you put in the refrigerator like you said… what are your thoughts?

    • @GundryMDYT
      @GundryMDYT  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello there, thank you for your question! Unfortunately, cooking rice in coconut milk would not change the fact that rice is very high in lectins, which is why Dr. Gundry recommends avoiding rice in the first place. 🙏

      @emptydog1109 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GundryMDYT yes, I understand that. And I appreciate your response.. I was adding the coconut milk to the rice that I’m gonna put into the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours like he recommends. And if you have any thoughts on that.

    What full of lectins.. didn’t you say stay away from lectins

    • @GundryMDYT
      @GundryMDYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Dr. Gundry believes that as much as 99% of Americans may be experiencing leaky gut symptoms... not just from foods that contain lectins but also from processed foods, added sugars, and various other parts of the standard American diet that are harmful to our GI tracts and microbiome. That's why it is so important for all of us to take care of our gut health, both through nutrition and proper supplementation.

    I make a curry sauce and thicken it with Kuzu (Kudzu). I get it at the local oriental store and also pick up Glass Noodles that are made up of resistant starch. I also will use Arrowroot starch for thickening.gravies. is also a resistant starch. The Kuzu starch actually lowers blood sugar
