I tried getting into Bloodborne several times throughout the year, and every time I give up. I played recklessly. “Wow look at the rally mechanic and how it insentivized me to die faster.” I wasn’t having a good time. I reset my playthroughs on multiple occasions. Then one fateful day I absolutely styled on Gascogne during one of my fits of rage, and all of a sudden the game clicked for me. That one fight with Gascoigne gave me the motivation to see the game to the end, and sure enough I beat the game a week later.
Cool tip: Transform attacks have some really great versatility as they: - have the speed of a light attack but have the stagger potential of heavy attacks (and sometimes charge attacks). Some enemies and bosses may even be knocked down using these attacks which can lead to great combo potential with the weapon switching. - can rally heal greatly, allowing one to restore their health back to full using these attacks as opposed to light and heavy attacks. - are the coolest looking attacks in the game.

Bloodborne was my first souls game and just played it because a friend convinced me to play it before elden ring, i would always compare the game to what i seen in elden ring clips mostly the graphics for example i always would make fun of the "playstation 2 moon" in the hunters dream and now i find my self there sitting looking at it listenning to the music completly lost in thoughs and nostalgia.
brutha ive been subbed since the elden ring video and i didnt even realize you had less than 1k i just assumed you were at least 15k or so especially with your audio quality and scripting and your script performance.
After watching your videos Windowledge (which btw absolutely love them) I think the way you approach games would make you enjoy Outer Wilds if you haven't played it already. You got an appreciation for art direction and enjoy that feeling of gaining knowledge through playing and persevering.
Your editing is great, your scripts are funny and clever, and I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm very interested to see if you play the rest of the souls games, but regardless of your next videos topic, I'm really glad I subscribed

Shortcuts work great for a tight, relatively speaking, of course, environment, and Bloodborne uses them masterfully. And while I agree that Elden RIng may go with fewer checkpoints, it would make exploring an open world much longer, which will make a great experience become tedious over time
The quality of your videos is seriously impressive. I wish TH-cam's algorithm wasn't doing you so dirty. It's extremely hard to find you videos without entering the exact titles as search terms. Searching "windowledge bloodborne" doesn't show this video. I had to search "windowledge bloodborne beginner's perspective" to see it
I really hope the next game from FS will be more linear again. While the open world of Elden Ring is impressive for me it destroyed what I loved so much about the older games. Since I played it blind I was always either over or under leveled making it infuriatingly hard or a complete cakewalk. Combine that with the endgame where almost all bosses hit like a truck and felt unfair to some extent. By far the worst experience I had with a Fromm title, which is sad cause I really loved all of the games prior.
