Since your bed is so uncomfortable and you don't turn it into a another seating area have you considered a mattress topper they can turn an awful night's sleep into a very good night sleep
So glad you finally could get together. Regarding your question - I would prefer the van because it is less cumbersome and probably easier on the upkeep.
I loved this video! I hope y’all can do this again later on or even connect with other vaners! (Probably not a word lol). Always love Monday mornings and a new Travel Bean video!!♥️
I have just finished watching and liking each and every video you have, in order! While doing so, I've seen the channel go from 247k to 265k. How exciting! Thanks for being you and I can't wait to see where you go next 💗
We had a trailer with a truck and can really see the advantages of that when visiting an area of the country with kids or friends in tow.... But for your situation, the van is the way to go. Being part time US travelers, its much simpler to have a van. And when the wind blows you somewhere else, you can sell it and move on. Can't wait to see you in the Northeast, maybe next year as it's starting to get cold.
I have always been too afraid to tow anything, but watching you go ‘round the parking lot gave ME confidence. You made it look so easy. When you were in their trailer talking about the fly colony in the van and then noticed one fly in the trailer, I was like, “Shut the screen door! You’re letting the flies in.” It was like hearing my dad’s voice from childhood. Based on that, I’d say the trailer beats the van; but get a screen door (maybe a Velcro one from Home Depot you adhere on the inside) and maybe a tiny tow vehicle, bikes or a moped for two and you’re set.
A fun adventure for sure. I would keep the van, as you can park it anywhere. The trailer takes so much more space and having to back it into spaces can be a hastle. Where are you doing next? Would love to meet you in person.....We're Oregonians....come for a visit. We too have a Campervan. Coachmen Beyond.
Huge fan of both channels. I was hoping you guys would catch up to each other. This just makes it better: van and trailer swap... Home swap: Travel edition.
I think a Van or Trailer depends on what your needs are, at a certain time in your life. My wife and I have a small Class C and we love more Van Life style now, because we love to travel to multiple locations and not camp at one place anymore. When we used to camp with our kids we had a larger "Trailer" to stay at one place for a week or two with a lot of setup and takedown. Now that it's just the 2 of us (the kids grew up), the swiftness of a 5 minute tear down and back on the road is awesome.
Awesome video escape from reality. I got 2018 Chevy express passenger van. Took the seats out for mother in law who past for Dr visits. I think I'm keeping thanks to the travel beans. Have fun in life Awesome video.
Due to my income (retired) per month, the answer is the Van/RV. Reason said is the insurance, trailer is extra set of tires to worry about, and luxury is something I may not want. My luxury is how the RV carries, such as... 1. Solar panels with converter charge. 2. Wi-fi boost 3. Best dashcam/security cams for the RV (prefer 4 cams, 1 on front, 1 on back (also reverse cam) and 2 on sides 4. change fridge out and put in all electric fridge only. 5. change gas stove out and make it a full counter top. there are portable electric stove to get. same with the portable heaters when needing them.
Thanks for sharing guys 👍👍 Glad the four of us your all had a few day together. I like the Endless Adventure's trailer for comfort and 🦟🦟the Beans" Campervan 🦟🦟for cost and the flies. 🦟🦟Love your channel Cheers 🍺🍺🧔
I'm glad y'all got back together to visit. I was a bit miffed that they were banging on Phoenix with the insect electrocuter. Y'all are amazing. Looking forward to seeing see where you go next! Love from SC, Jane ❤️ 🙏 Emma, you are brave!
Just found your channel from the endless adventure channel. Glad we did. If you are ever in the NW part of the US reach out, we’d be happy to help with recommendations on places to stay and things to see.
So much fun! I’d stick with the van. There’s so much MORE stuff to do with a trailer, and the gas mileage is a huge factor as well. The whole point of “vanning” is that it’s NOT a sticks and bricks, so many of the comforts will naturally not be there but it’s an adventure! Great video thanks for sharing this with us all!
Different advantages to both the camper and the caravan. Personally I'd rather the camper (adding a mattress topper), but I'm sure my husband would choose the caravan, he likes luxury 😁
You guys just have so much fun. Flies are just bad this time of year , You may consider adding a magnetic fly door screen to the van . That way you can open the doors without visitors. Best insect repellent is either Bens in the orange bottle or Deep woods off.
100% recommend Costco memory foam topper. I cut mine to fit my rooftop tent and it’s luxury! You can use the cut off pieces for stopping squeaks and putting on driving seat etc
Well you both had to deal with 🪰 🪰 But nothing broke down an Endless Adventure specialty and nothing blew up.... too soon 🤷♂️ I say a totally successful switch. Nothing but love to all 4 of you ❤️
I love you two, such a experience to be able to trade people vehicles for the night to see who's got the better life I think you guys got the better life your comfort you're exploring different places they also have different vehicles and exploring different places but you guys I love the four of you anyways I watch both channels much love, from me
Great video. Are you still in Michigan? I see that Eric & Allison were also in Michigan's UP. Too bad they couldn't join you on Isle Royale. For convenience, I prefer a camper trailer. That way you have to unhook everything at the campsite if you want to drive off to go site-seeing or into town to shop. Plus you will not have the costs of owning another motor vehicle.
Flies are definitely because of the dead mouse mates . I will clear itself up. Ps the flies in their place definitely flew over from yours. This is hilarious.
I would love for ya'll to link up with Tread The Globe. They are also from the UK, but they shipped their van Trudy over to the U.S. They recently did Alaska and parts of Western Canada.
You guys do a great job at what you do. You have a very supportive TH-cam community of Patreons, Subscribers and Commenters. Show them a little love with a simple click of a❤❤ It goes a long way. It's great to see those red hearts. Whether it's one or 100 👍 We love you Guys ! From the Love Beans.
Awesome video guys! I giggled most of the way through it. So natural.......heading to the Adventurers now. One video a week is never enough. Safe travels
I have been waiting for a long time for you guys to meet up again! Two channels that I subscribe to joining together! I enjoyed this vlog but am gutted that the epic road trip you guys were going to do together is not happening. I was looking forward to seeing 2 perspectives from every stop. Oh well. Hopefully another opportunity will come about. Those guys need to visit you in the UK!
Thanks for a great video guys... what a great match up for a collaboration! That outdoor kitchen is amazing and the automatic awning looks so luxurious to use.
Love the Van Life the best. Simple. No over stuffing with unnecessary items and so much easier and faster to clean. Our daughter has a RV Trailer and they say they will be stepping down after taking our Van on a road trip. They realized how much simpler life is with no worries of having to pull the Trailer. Only draw back is that if we are in a place for a few days we have to try to rent a small car to sight see because we find that easier than tearing everything down and then putting it all back out when we get back to our sight. Otherwise we get what we need before we get to our sight and ride electric bikes to see and explore near our area. AND we douse our seat except for a bed and we invested in a comfortable mattress and leave it permanently in place. Made tge world of difference for a great night's sleep.
LOVED when Emma joined in on the, “beans out!” I think that should be a consistent thing now! Adore you both and your channel - if you ever feel like coming out to Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 (filled with wildlife & PLENTY Moose), just know my hubby and I would host with open arms. Safe adventuring you two! 💜 xox
Take the seats out. If you don't use them, they are in the way to a comfortable night's sleep. Super easy to do too! Go for it!! If you need tools and a place to do the conversion, AND you are in Oregon, DM me! 🙂
When you visit Zion Nat'l Park, try to enter the park from the east. And for Yosemite, you'll probably enter from the Sacramento way, I'd suggest drive slowly through and enjoy, then turn back to see the new angles of the views. Basically, the direction you enter a park and those views make a first impression which stays with you.
Personally I find both super vans. I understand the trailer camper. Both have Fors and against. You can unhitch and go to the grocery store and just tramp around seeing the sites. However the layout is amazing. Phoenix on the other hand you need to take almost everywhere. except a walk in the woods. I like the thought of Phoenix being quiet and smooth. So I guess for me it has to be Phoenix. Although it would need to be fly free. Horrible little buggers. In my home my brother say the come in and don't even get time to land. Enjoy the journey. Stay safe, drive safe and hell to the friends.
It could be the flies have come from the varmint hidden in your panels. Maggots on dead animal become flies! You assumed it was a mouse what if it was something bigger or longer...hisssssss.
Especially here in Europe I like the idea of a trailer, which you can put somewhere, and with your car you can go all those little village or mountain streets. That's why I bought a trailer. On the other hand you can camp where you want with a camper, not necessarily on a camping site. But a big trailer is just not practical. You also need a big car, which makes the advantage on small streets obsolete. Also petrol is here much more expensive than in the USA. In that case I would prefer your camper, here in Europe. In the USA it's a different story.
I'd take the trailer and pick-up. Big diesel is a plus for me, and the major advantage that you can leave the trailer on the campsite and use the pick-up like an everyday vehicle. Nevertheless, for what it is, your RV is great. Superb condition and it's obviously been cherished so you're in good shape to tour the country.
Omg good for you pulling that trailer. I have a 25 foot trailer and I am very scared to pull it so my husband does it all. I know I would never be able to back it in. I loved this episode.
OMG Emma !! What a beautiful spirit ... love at first sight ....Alex you’re a lovely bloke but that girl... subscribed!!! (The content is pretty good too!!) Hugs for you both from Vancouver Island
Fantastic video Beans. I also follow Endless so will get there perspective on the swap. Do you think they heard the mouse? I like both set-ups equally because I love the TH-camrs in each. Happy trails 👣
What a fun time! Just for the ease of driving, I like your van but I would get like a 4" memory foam mattress or something to put on top of your couch to make the bed comfier. ❤😃
Definitely a trailer. We're a bit too "well rounded" for the minivan. You're still young and don't mind "dancing cheek to cheek". Your Endless Adventure friends need to get a weight-distributing hitch for their truck/trailer rig. The trailer will ride level and tow much easier. Used to live in an isolated white-washed cottage and had thousands of them!

Exactly what my wife did with ours, big difference
So did we..best £35 ever…
I was gonna mention that also. They can roll it up in morning.
Yep we did this to our beds at home and its like having a new bed
Love it guys! So nice to see you together 🥰♥️
So glad that you guys got to meet up, even briefly! Just great to see you all together again.
7:20 they are outside opening up all the doors to try and get rid of the flies lol
I would take the Van without question. Simplicity !! Too much things to deal with pulling a trailer.
Me too!

It was fun seeing both sets of travelers in the same video again, and no fires! Well none that weren't contained anyway. Safe travels!

That conversation about your sarcasm sounded like and argument and I’m on her side. Love y’all
Great fun video. You all are so cute and funny. I love how generous you are to each other. Hopefully there will be more adventures ahead.
Awesome video escape from reality. I got 2018 Chevy express passenger van. Took the seats out for mother in law who past for Dr visits. I think I'm keeping thanks to the travel beans. Have fun in life Awesome video.

Another great video, thank you for sharing Emma and Alex. We are now new subscribers to The Endless Adventure
Loved the video so good to see you all together again! Happy your mouse left you! ~Cara 💖
Now on to The Endless version!
Holy crap, ya’ll are homies. I watch both shows. Congrats on you guys addition to the family
That was fun. I hope Endless Adventures have a safe trip. You too of course 😊
Thank you!!
Lovely vlog! It is so interesting to see how people do van life. I'm glad you got to hang out with the Endless Adventure.
This the reason for buying my RV, making new friends and having fun.
Lovely you got to meet up. Even if short.
Love seeing you team up with Eric and Alison again. This is a very fun video. That outdoor grill is tremendous.
I like your van better because it seems so much cozier.
"You could swing a cat in here"... is that like the official spatial measuring technique in the UK?
All the fancy stuff makes no difference ...You guys are doing it right ...stick with your plan and van ..🇦🇺
Alex is a man after my own heart, just loves to play wind up his other half. Very funny.
Great video 📹. Hopefully you all can meet up again in the near future when they return from Asia 🌏.
Gm Alex and Emma that was amazing

I love that; you get prosecco and chocolate and they get a fly swat - brilliant

Well you both had to deal with 🪰 🪰 But nothing broke down an Endless Adventure specialty and nothing blew up.... too soon 🤷♂️ I say a totally successful switch.
Nothing but love to all 4 of you ❤️
❤I love that Alex and his bag of sausages has made the intro!!!😂
Yous finally meet up at last brilliant 👏👏👏
Finally!! So glad we got to see these guys!
So fun to see the swap! And too funny that neither of you have the same rigs from when you planned the original trip.
I love you two, such a experience to be able to trade people vehicles for the night to see who's got the better life I think you guys got the better life your comfort you're exploring different places they also have different vehicles and exploring different places but you guys I love the four of you anyways I watch both channels much love, from me

LOL. My wife HATES the word moist. I didn't even know that was a thing, just figured it was her. That travel trailer is awesome.

Super nice HQ19 TT...Very expensive! Great video!
Love seeing the four of you together 🥰
Wow trailer was so spacious. But I do love your van. Just a preference for being much more nimble to access further out there, boon docking.
LOVED when Emma joined in on the, “beans out!” I think that should be a consistent thing now! You hair has stood up to the Van-Camping life style. What do you use for wash and conditioner?
that was really fin to watch you guys together again. man , I waiting until next year but your making wanna hit the road now
I'm definitely a trailer rather than camper van person. The extra space just allows for so much more comfort in my opinion.
Take the seats out. If you don't use them, they are in the way to a comfortable night's sleep. Super easy to do too! Go for it!! If you need tools and a place to do the conversion, AND you are in Oregon, DM me! 🙂

I haven’t even seen the whole video but I’m already looking forward to this and fingers crossed for shenanigans.
Indeed.
We all love shenanigans! 😄
interesting to watch the mirrored videos. You four shold find a way to do a longer collab sometime in the future- you play off well

another fun Vlog thanks guys

OMG Emma !! What a beautiful spirit ... love at first sight ....Alex you’re a lovely bloke but that girl... subscribed!!! (The content is pretty good too!!)
Hugs for you both from Vancouver Island
Both of you all were so fun to watch!!!🤗
Fantastic video Beans. I also follow Endless so will get there perspective on the swap. Do you think they heard the mouse? I like both set-ups equally because I love the TH-camrs in each. Happy trails 👣
Thanks Ian! The mouse isn’t there anymore (thank goodness!)
I would stay in Eric's rig given the choice.....but travel in Phoenix......easier to drive and quieter!
So Phoenix wins.
Each rig definitely has its pros and cons! 😊
What a fun time!
Just for the ease of driving, I like your van but I would get like a 4" memory foam mattress or something to put on top of your couch to make the bed comfier. ❤😃
UP Michigan is a wonderful spot to camp during the summer and you are correct about the no see-ums. Those little black flies will eat you alive.
I know the flies are annoying. It’s that time of year here in Michigan. They come out of the woodwork in the fall.
So happy you guys were able to meet up at last! And omg what is up with flies this year!? It’s been crazy all over it seems 😱
Definitely a trailer. We're a bit too "well rounded" for the minivan. You're still young and don't mind "dancing cheek to cheek". Your Endless Adventure friends need to get a weight-distributing hitch for their truck/trailer rig. The trailer will ride level and tow much easier. Driving towing a trailer isn't difficult as long as you remember to turn wider than usual, and that you are a lot longer than you are used to.
Safe travels, y'all!
Bob and Dottie
This so cool. You guys are so awesome I love it!!
That was a great episode since we watch both. I/we would prefer the trailer. Enjoy your time
"Cluster Flys" - we have them in the UK as well. When the temperature drops they try to find warm places to hibernate and "cluster" in to small hidden places. When they warm up they come out in their masses. They are particualrly attracted to white buildings, and I guess motorhomes/trailers. Used to live in an isolated white-washed cottage and had thousands of them!
OMG Travel Beanz get one of those trailers
The Beans beat Endless posting by about 5 mins so it's Beans First!
We hope you enjoy your helping of beans!!
THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN, HONESTLY, I LOVED BOTH EVENLY, FOR DIFFERANT REASONS. REALLY🌻🌻🌻🌻
Comon beans do really need to choose- great enjoy your trip🤗🇬🇧🤗🇬🇧
There's a cake in Scotland called a fly cemetery! You should buy one next time you are here, super yummy!
Yay you found each other!
That is a nice camper but its apples to oranges! Its New or Newer and off-road! Great vlog and enjoy!
Such fun - making memories you will
never forget!!!
Yay I was thinking of you no then I opened my you tube and there it was a new video love your vibe 😊
I like your van better than the caravan. And I'd rather not have to tow....hope you have great travels.😊
I was actually pretty surprised with how easy theirs was to tow! But of course, the smaller the rig, the easier it is to drive! 😁
Wow to the Black series Camper
